All of my children are involved in sports most of the year, but they have homeschool group bowling every other week through out the school year. My oldest two are active in their youth group with church as well.
We have a tutorial where a few friends are. Some of these friends are also in our youth group at church. We live in a neighborhood with some of our friends in it. My DS is next door now visiting with a buddy of his.
We too get together regularly to hang out with some from each group. We do the sleepovers too. Ds is wanting one tonight.
"There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're COMMITTED to something, you accept NO EXCUSES; only results."
I tired of being sick and tired all the time!! Time to do something about it!!
We have a great homeschool co-op here that the kids have been involved with almost since the beginning. Most of their friends have come from here. The boys also had Scouts, and some sports when they were younger. Their homeschool friends and a few other kids are in the youth group they attend.
Dd has made friends at church, co-op and sports, and she regularly plays with some from each, and has plenty of overnights, too.
