Right now my Wii is my only real source of exercise due to bad foot problems. I use wii fit plus and I LOVE it! What's really nice is you can use their recommended exercise routines and put them together to make a little workout for yourself. I am always sweating by the end of it. And the island cycling is another one that makes me sweat profusely. I think if you have the right games (there are a lot of exercise games besides wii fit/plus) and do what you are supposed to do without cheating then you'll burn a LOT of calories that way.

Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.

i have a wii and love it.....if i have a partner. the little sport mini games are great but not as motivating against the computer enter huspand/boyfriend/kids.....

get your family involved and a little fun competition and you'll have a great time and even sweat a little.

i just got the wii fit today and only got to use it about 10 mins before i had to go to work. i did some hoola and ski jumps.

needless to say im unbalanced. it tells your weights everytime you log on and tracks your progress.

so far it seems neato ill keep you posted on whether it really works me out

we have a Wii system and we all love it! You can get a bit of a workout. Wii fitness is coming out in May and it looks cool. A good way to get moving with the kids:)

Great! Do you find it effective? I mean if my body hurts then it should be doing something, right? That is unless you cheat emoticon . Still, if you play fair, it should be doing something, right?

I have a wii too, and I play the Wii Fitness portion of Wii sports, and I also do about 20 minutes of tennis and some bowling.

I think it counts and you can get a good workout if you put effort into it.

You know, we have the Wii, and like everyone says the tennis will make your arms ache after awhile, but I don't think its good for anything except your arms. Plus, my kids have figured out ways to sit and play still. It is good though if you think about the alternative video games. At least they are getting some type of workout!

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.

We have the Wii and I love it. Just be careful because you can pull muscles in your arm and shoulder. Playing bowling and tennis I go what I call "Wiiblow" I couldn't move my elbow for about 2 weeks. They are going to be releasing a Wii game that actually is for aerobic exercise next month I think. I am excited about that! From what I have seen it comes with a stepper of sorts. Anyway I think it is good exercise that the whole family can really enjoy together. But like I said take it easy at first.

We have a Wii and it really depends on the game you're playing. The Wii Sport pack has tennis, which is active and gets the heart rate going. Just like any of the other gaming consoles, there are sit-on-your-butt games as well.

For either Wii or Playstation users, I would recommend Dance Dance Revolution. Great game, lots of fun, and REALLY gives you a good work out. We have it for Playstation 2 and it's my absolute favorite.

I think you Wii should have come with the game Wii Sports. Check out the site below for an exercise routine you can do with that game. I haven't tried it yet, but I think I may have to start. Also, Wii Fit is suppose to be coming out soon.

My children got a Wii as a gift from my parents the other day. Is it efficient exercise-wise? Does anyone have one and recommend it or is it a waste of time?
