Stephanie, you can do it, and it does start with confessing, and forgiving yourself... now you can move on !

I confess that I have been abusing myself by overeating, not making good food choices, allowing emotional distress to be an excuse to treatmyself poorly, not going to bed on time, not taking care of myself in general. And I have been doing it for a long time.

I forgive myself for my mistakes, and I forgive myself for my prior ignorance.

I am ready to move on. I feel much more peaceful than I did two days ago. Something big has changed.

I have sabotaged myself several times in several ways in the past few weeks.

#1 SEVERAL instances of overeating = over 3000 calories days;

#2 Only going to bed on time a few times = not wanting to get up for my AM workout and not having enough energy;

#3 Skipping workouts.

General excuse-making. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I've worked TOO hard to ruin my own program! I ***KNOW*** what to do. NOW it is time to DO IT, and quit whining about the reasons why I haven't done it! Today, the only thing keeping me from my goal is ME.

NO MORE. IT. IS. TIME. TO. FINISH. THIS.

Hi All, I just wanted to get on the bandwagon.

Last week I bought a scale and I was on it and off it several times over a 3 day period.

I can ruin my whole attitude toward this program and totally give up if I let that scale govern my progress or self worth.

I have committed to weighing on Fridays only. And I put the scale on the top shelf in the closet, at least it's not on the floor easily available to jump on and make myself C R A Z Y.

Last night I gave in to my Mexican food craving on date night w/ the bf. We had combo fajitas w/ Chicken, steak, chorizo and shrimp. I tried to be good: only ate 2 of the 4 tortillas, only a couple of chips, no refried beans, no rice, and only half of the serving of guac and sour cream...BUT I know I shouldn't have eaten the sour cream or the chips or the tortilla shells at all. Next time I won't and maybe I can save a couple hundred calories. Also I made sure to go for a walk afterwards, and that helped with the guilt. :)

Yesterday wasn't great. I went to a party and even though I wasn't very hungry, I had a turkey burger with cheese and bacon (after having had a pulled pork sandwich). NO GOOD!

Buuuuuuut, it could've been MUCH worse, I went about 300 over my allowed calories, and today, instead of feeling bad I'm going to go do some walking. :)

Don't let it wreck your day. Most people will go...."I blew it so I might as well REALLY blow it!" One meal isn't the end of the world. Just be mindful at dinner and maybe take a walk after it. Tomorrow is a brand new day.
And really, you didn't go too overboard at all! It's not as bad as you think.

Today I had Thai food for lunch, which is probably bad enough b/c I ate the entire serving of Drunken Noodles with Chicken, and I had half an egg roll. Ugh. I know I shouldn't have, and I have absolutely positivly no idea how many calories it was. Ugh.

One thing I have found is that we are hardest on ourselves. So if we can look at ourselves as our own best friend. If your best friend had something not on program, would you tell them they were a failure?

NO ! you would not, you would do your utmost to lift them up, tell them to forget about it and move on.... so the next time you haven't done your program perfectly, try talking to your best friend YOU !

and yeah come by and confess, forgive and Move on.....

I really like that. emoticon

I do find that I beat myself up over it, get depressed, and feel like a failure. But you are right...that confessing it does help...it is a big relief. emoticon

With all of the support you find here you can feel like you can move on and do better because other people know what you are going through...they have been there and done that.

That seems to be alot of peoples problems, they try to do everything perfectly and it just doesn't work.

things happen in every day life that will throw obstacles in our paths and it's how we deal with it that will keep us dedicated to reaching our goals.

I LOVE this message!
Confess it, let it go and move on. You can't be perfect in this journey every single day. There will be temptations. I need to do that in all areas of my life as well! THANKS Barbararose54! emoticon

You're right! It's a new day :)

I'm not a drinker either, but on occasions I like to drink with friends.

Yesterday I did a whole extra 30 minutes as a punishment lol

Ahhhhh, today is a new day, just forget about, but make sure you learn from it.

Being a non-drinker, it's not a problem for me.

Now me, I got into chocolate last night, so today I just get right back on my program and it's done and over with !

AAA!! I'm so mad at myself!

Last Saturday I went out with Ethan (my boyfriend) and another couple and we drank a lot of vodka redbull.. I kept telling myself it's a treat, but I felt REALLY guilty when I saw how many calories I drank!!!

Today I will make up for it for sure! Extra work out in store :)

Sometimes on this journey, we stumble, we mess up and it is hard to get past that.

HOWEVER, if we confess it, then it's no longer our secret and it loses it's hold on us. THEN, we forgive ourselves and we are free to move on.

Your team is here to SUPPORT you and lift you up, not push you down farther when you are already down! BTW... This does not necessarily have to be about health and nutrition, it can be about anything you need to get off your chest, so you can move on!
