Have your gait analyzed at a running shoe store to make sure you are in the correct shoes (take you current ones with you).
Look into minimalist running shoes, they are good for some and not good for others, but might shorten your stride or change your gait enough to lessen the impact on your legs.
Do dynamic warm-ups before and stretch afterward.
