Wow! I thought I was going above and beyond with 20 minutes. The first time I did it, I could only do 5 minutes. This gives me a goal. Thanks!
20 minutes is just fine especially when starting out.
I dreaded it when I first started out and it took me a while to get to a higher level and duration.
Now, I find it more enjoyable and challenging then the elliptical or anything else cardio.
I do it three times a week which is the number of days I workout.
I start out with a 5-10 min. warm up at level 8
20 min. on level 10 or speed interval on level 12
Then I'll do the aerobic training or 30 min. on level 12 or do another 20 min. on speed interval 12.
Then I'll do a little more if I have energy for 15 min. on speed interval 10 or 12. Or just cool down for 10 mins. or so on level 8.
Lastly, I'll do 20 minutes on the elliptical for about 200 calories to finish off my cardio.
So my total calories burned for the workout could be a minimum of 750-1000 cal.
It's been many months since I started the stair Climber and it just takes time to build it up. It's also a preference. It keeps me from getting bored and I like to do it hands free for added challenge here and there. You use your abs more I think and burn more calories. It's my new challenge. For the longest time I stayed on level 8 and it killed but now I'm slowly moving up and it still kills. I have sweat literally dripping on the machine. Little nasty but I'm just crazy that way. TAke care.
I just started using the stair climber. I find that 20 minutes is extremely difficult. I'm used to working out on the elliptical for an hour or so. What is an average timed workout on a stair climber? Should I aim for lower time goals?
Hi I work out on stair climber 1-2 times per week and think it would be included this group.
I just found this site. Does this team included stair climbers?
What do I do now?
