It's that time again - the results are in! I'd like to say that Week 3 was a successful one, but the numbers don't reflect that in many ways. We lost 5 more MOMMYs this week due to no participation. The Marvelous Mangoes are down to only 3 team members. :( I don't know what has happened this month!?! I'm happy to say for them, though, that the 3 of you who are remaining on the Mangoes are all strong competitors and you're not out of this challenge by any means. Each of your points will count even more so rack 'em up ladies! Many of you seem to be relying on the non-active portions of our challenge to get points for your team. Before signing up for September, I'm asking that everyone take a few minutes to reflect on why you're joining the challenges, whether it be with this team or any team. We are all here to get healthier and lose weight. You can not and will not be able to do that if you are not exercising. I'm not trying to sound harsh, but there are so many people who are posting blogs and wondering why you're not seeing the scale change - look back through your fitness minutes and food trackers and it may help you see why. I know that this is not an easy journey but if you don't try, you'll never succeed. We are here to help each other through motivation and encourgagement. If you're struggling, reach out to your teammates. We have many MOMMYs who are doing a great job and racking up those fitness minutes.

Were already up to Week 3 for our August Challenge this month is flying by way too fast!!! In addition to the tasks we have had for the first two weeks (which I still listed below), we will be adding new ones. The bonus will be changing. Here are our tasks for Week 3:
- Cardio: For each minute of deliberate cardio that you do, you will earn 1 point. Deliberate cardio means that it is not part of your everyday routine (ie. movement/exercise done while working or taking care of your home and children). SP has already accounted for those burned calories as part of your personal statistics, which is why we will not be counting them. Keep in mind that in order for your cardio minutes to count this month, you have to have your fitness tracker visible on your SparkPage and have them broken down on your Challenge Tracker (please keep the explanation simple). - Water: For each day that you drink 8 glasses of water, you will earn 25 points. The only approved changes you can make to your water is to add a splash of lemon, lime, etc. to give it a hint of flavor. - Blog: As we have done all along, you will earn 25 points for each day that you post a blog. At the end of the week, on either Friday or Saturday, you are required to post a Weekly Update Blog, which will earn you 100 pts. In this blog, you should give us a summary of your week. You must include your strengths and weaknesses, as well as what you hope to achieve or improve on in the coming week. Failure to post a Weekly Update Blog will result in a 100 pt deduction. Just a reminder, on the day that you post the WUB, you will only earn points for that blog. Additional blogs will not earn you additional points. - Sleep: As moms, we know that getting in 8 hours every night can seem ridiculously impossible. Were going to aim for 6 hours each night instead. You may count the hours from the night before or the same day, but whichever method you use, stick with it for the rest of the month. If you get at least 6 hours, you will earn 25 points. - Strength Training: For each day that you do strength training as part of your workout, you will earn 25 points. In order for it to count, you must do at least 2 sets with 12-15 reps of 5 or more exercises. - Relax: In order to take care of your body, you have to give yourself a chance to relax. Spend 15 minutes or more doing something for yourself each day to earn 25 points. Post on your Challenge Tracker what it is you did (please keep the explanation simple).
- Bonus: Post on 10 or more M2W Team Members Blogs this week. List their screenname and day their blog was posted. If you succeed, you will earn a 250 points.

- Cardio: For each minute of deliberate cardio that you do, you will earn 1 point. - Water: For each day that you drink 8 glasses of water, you will earn 25 points. - Blog: As we have done all along, you will earn 25 points for each day that you post a blog. Cardio: It took me 3 hours to do my neighbors yards today with just his push mower... now, I'm counting this today because it's not my parent's yard (which I still have to do tomorrow), it's much bigger than what I normally do AND it was ALL completed with a push mower... I twisted my ankles, I hurt my wrist starting the mower over and over, my knees hurt, my arms hurt so much that my shoulders are tight which is pulling on my jaw and my TMJ hurts more than it has in years... I am *so* counting today... - 180 Points
Strength: I should so count at least an hour from today as strength just having to deal with that heavy mower, but, I won't... I'm to tired right now... - 0 Points
Relax: Sat in the recliner at my parents with a heating pad for at least an hour when I was done with the neighbors yard - 25 Points

- Cardio: For each minute of deliberate cardio that you do, you will earn 1 point. - Water: For each day that you drink 8 glasses of water, you will earn 25 points. - Blog: As we have done all along, you will earn 25 points for each day that you post a blog. At the end of the week, on either Friday or Saturday, you are required to post a Weekly Update Blog, which will earn you 100 pts. - Sleep: If you get at least 6 hours, you will earn 25 points. - Strength Training: For each day that you do strength training as part of your workout, you will earn 25 points. In order for it to count, you must do at least 2 sets with 12-15 reps of 5 or more exercises. - Relax: Spend 15 minutes or more doing something for yourself each day to earn 25 points. Post on your Challenge Tracker what it is you did (please keep the explanation simple).
- Bonus: Post on 10 or more M2W Team Members Blogs this week. List their screenname and day their blog was posted. If you succeed, you will earn a 250 points.

Were already up to Week 3 for our August Challenge this month is flying by way too fast!!! In addition to the tasks we have had for the first two weeks (which I still listed below), we will be adding new ones. The bonus will be changing. Here are our tasks for Week 3:
- Cardio: For each minute of deliberate cardio that you do, you will earn 1 point. Deliberate cardio means that it is not part of your everyday routine (ie. movement/exercise done while working or taking care of your home and children). SP has already accounted for those burned calories as part of your personal statistics, which is why we will not be counting them. Keep in mind that in order for your cardio minutes to count this month, you have to have your fitness tracker visible on your SparkPage and have them broken down on your Challenge Tracker (please keep the explanation simple). - Water: For each day that you drink 8 glasses of water, you will earn 25 points. The only approved changes you can make to your water is to add a splash of lemon, lime, etc. to give it a hint of flavor. - Blog: As we have done all along, you will earn 25 points for each day that you post a blog. At the end of the week, on either Friday or Saturday, you are required to post a Weekly Update Blog, which will earn you 100 pts. In this blog, you should give us a summary of your week. You must include your strengths and weaknesses, as well as what you hope to achieve or improve on in the coming week. Failure to post a Weekly Update Blog will result in a 100 pt deduction. Just a reminder, on the day that you post the WUB, you will only earn points for that blog. Additional blogs will not earn you additional points. - Sleep: As moms, we know that getting in 8 hours every night can seem ridiculously impossible. Were going to aim for 6 hours each night instead. You may count the hours from the night before or the same day, but whichever method you use, stick with it for the rest of the month. If you get at least 6 hours, you will earn 25 points. - Strength Training: For each day that you do strength training as part of your workout, you will earn 25 points. In order for it to count, you must do at least 2 sets with 12-15 reps of 5 or more exercises. - Relax: In order to take care of your body, you have to give yourself a chance to relax. Spend 15 minutes or more doing something for yourself each day to earn 25 points. Post on your Challenge Tracker what it is you did (please keep the explanation simple).

All points must be posted on the challenge thread no later than the end of the day on Monday. Points totals will be announced on Tuesday. Failure to post points for the week will result in elimination from the challenge for the remainder of the month. If you have any questions or concerns, please dont hesitate to ask. And dont forget each person should only be posting one reply on the challenge thread then editing as needed to update their points. Good luck with Week 3 ladies!!!
