Here's a few off the top of my head...
We need Water, Fiber and Protein...So...
1. Bagged Lettuce or you prewash and cut up lettuce and veggies for a salad...
Freeze meat, chichen, beef, pork in a marinade to thaw and grill to top your salad with whole grain bread...
2. Cut Fresh Veggies in big chuncks, season and oil, put in a ziplock bag to grill with chicken breasts.
3. Whole grain Bread, Turkey and LF or FF Cheese to make grilled sandwiches.
4. Ground turkey burgers grilled on whole grain buns with lettuce and tomato.
I always try to rmember to eat carbs, protein and fiber in every meal.

Hi All, I am new to diabetes. March 2011. I have been camping for years with my hubby and 3 dogs. And lots of friends. This year will be a little different do to my eating habits. No more of the camping junk I ate in the past.
What I am looking for is help in creating meals for us. I do have a stove/grill to use. But, for the most part, quick meals are the best. We are busy with the dogs from ~6:30 in the morning until 5 in the evening. We compete in Dog agility during the day. So not much time to stop and eat a sit down meal. Any suggestions on where to find ideas to help mix it up would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and happy camping!
