FallenShort, it's a real breakthrough when we take responsibility for our own actions and improve ourselves so we can behave more like Christ in the future. Bravo for allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal this wonderful truth to you. It comes with SUCH hope. King David said that his mother cast him upon the Lord, and we know that, despite his many failings before God, He was a man after God's own heart. We join you in lifting your daughter up to the Lord, knowing that the good work in her life is begun by God and that He is faithful to complete it. He seeks and saves the lost. So if your daughter has lost her way, fear not. Jesus is our Good Shepherd and He will seek her out and find her and save her. He is our Rescuer and our Restorer. The same God who is doing this good work in you is doing it in your husband and your daughter. Thank you for sharing it with us and allowing us to be a part of such a beautiful thing!

I am not pussyfooting around. :)
I started reading the Bible today; 1 chapter a day. I have always liked Proverbs, so I started there. The first chapter made me cry, as we have a family problem with my daughter; well, it seems I have the problem as my husband doesn't seem to care. I tend to blame him but I didn't do all I could when she was little, either. I need prayer to get myself right with the Lord and only then can I help my daughter and maybe my husband.
Some mornings, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps.
