I was truly blessed today.
After I parked in a library lot to attend a seminar, I went to the passenger side of the car to get out a notebook and books to return. For some reason, instead of putting my keys in my pocket I set them on the car's roof. An hour and a half later, after the seminar, I couldn't find my keys and remembered I had left them on top of the car.
Praise the Lord they were still there and the car was still there. The cars on each side had left and new ones parked but no one brought the keys inside, if they saw them, AND no one stole my car with so much in it.
Simply saying thank you Jesus does not seem enough. A true blessing. -- Lou

Glory to God! I spent many years in prison ministry and it fills my heart with joy every time a inmate opens their heart to the love of God, to the light of truth. I pray even now a hedge of protection over this woman, that the plans of the enemy to devour her will be thwarted. If she needs further help, see if there is a Teen Challenge program nearby. They are for adults as well as kids and have the highest success rate of any drug rehab in the nation, by far. The National Institutes of Health did an extensive study of the program many years ago and documented its success rate at 82% for heroine addiction (five years after sobriety). Jesus is what sets Teen Challenge apart from all the rest. It's an excellent program.

Praise God. One of the ladies that I have in Bible Study left the jail today to go to a support group for several weeks. She is such a blessing.

My DH and I have been Christians for many years, but I suspected he wasn't too 'into' growth until a thing or two happened this past year. Even so, I was praying that God would grab DH and cause him to grow. I'm sorry if that sounds judgemental, but it was out of love that DH would get closer to God.
Starting this year, our church made special Bibles available to us so we can read through the Bible in the year. Each day there are passages from the Old Testament, the New Testament and from either Psalms or Proverbs. It doesn't take a long time to read each day. DH and I are separately reading every morning. Then, we talk about what we've read.
See this.......I'm doing my happy dance. : ) Praise God! I knew He would answer my prayer, because it's something that He (God) wants, too.

It's a little like a scene in a movie I saw recently.....a man was shot in the head but took several steps to his car before falling. He was dead when he was shot, but he just didn't realize it.
Similarly, Satan is already defeated....he just hasn't given up yet. Because we are IN Christ and He is IN us, Satan is already defeated in us.....he just hasn't given up, and yes, sometimes we will sin because we still have our human nature, but we already have the victory through Jesus Christ. What power that gives us over Satan.....God's power to resurrect Jesus from the grave.

I thought an infection was going to ruin my Christmas plans and that I would not be able to do anything about it on the holiday; so I got down on my knees and asked the Lord to take care of the problem...and He did. I was able to go out as planned and had no more problem for the rest of the day. God is so good!

I am thankful that my grandmother is still with us. First time we took her to rehab she had a mild heart attack. Had to be put back in the hospital for two weeks. Then she went to rehab for two more weeks. PTL she is much better and was able to come home yesterday. I hope that the rest of you are doing well. Have a good day. After re- reading my post, I think I need to clarify....Friday night`s message was from Joshua, when Achan took the "booty" and bad things started to happen....I always skimmed over this cause...well..it just seemed sad and I admire Joshua so much that I just couldn`t wrap my head around all of it....but WOW did this speaker explain and really open my eyes! It was so very totally awesome! (made even better as I know the speaker personally and know his parents kicked him out of his house along with 2 younger sibs when he was 14. He took care of the sibs, did whatever to survive....He is uneducated, but what a very smart man. God is using him and he is obeying.....gives me chills to think of it all,he is not old either, in his early 40s)

Sorry....this could get wordy........ My husband planned a revival for the small church he pastors twice a month...board approved and we had it last Wed. Thurs. and Fri. nights. It was a huge success! We had 3 times attendance by Friday nigt that we had on Wed! (Wed night is the night several churches have services of their own, so attendance was less than 30) On top of it all I was truly blessed by both the special music ( she sang " He`ll Do it Again") and the message was just totally awesome! and about something I had never dwelt much on, but he really opened my eyes! I was very pleased and the work involved was definitely worth it! Hubby & I agreed on that....don`t know what the congregation thought... I LOVED IT and was TRULY BLESSED!

Praising God today for sending us a buyer for our condo in Virginia. It's been a long almost three months that it was on the market, one ridiculous offer made a couple of weeks ago, but now God sent a fair, legitimate offer and buyer to us. It's been a real test to rest in Him and trust Him to continue providing for us, but He enabled us to do that...with some occasional fears interfering with that trust.

Now I will be able to get back and forth to school and other places with ease. I am just waiting for everything to be finalized and signed as well as the chair ordered and delivered. My husband has had the colonoscopy the result has not been favourable but God is using the doctors to bring about his healing.He is having surgery on Friday 18th. We are continuing to praise God and have faith that He will do what we desire. Roz.

This afternoon I prepared to go pick up a few groceries but couldn't find my ATM card. I searched the car but it wasn't there. I called the last place I had it but it hadn't been turned in. I thought, well, I'll just get some money from an ATM until, duh, I realized I couldn't do that without the card. I was ready to ask a neighbor if I could borrow a few dollars until tomorrow so I could get dog and cat food. Then, for some reason, I checked my wallet and the packet with that and other cards was there.
I remembered I had pulled out my insurance card for a lab blood test and put the card in my right front pocket where I keep the ATM and credit cards. I guess when I went to put the insurance card back in my wallet I grabbed the ATM card packet without realizing it.
I am so very grateful I didn't lose those cards and have to go through getting new ones and canceling accounts and that I was lead to check the wallet. Thank you, Lord. -- Lou

That's a positive way of looking at it. I hate to admit it but in the past; I'd do most of my bible research when I was ill or too weak to do other things. But now, I love to read the Word and history books which talk about biblical history everyday. There is just so much stuff to learn...

Another car blessing today. I was on the Interstate going to a town 25 miles away when the "Service Engine Soon" light came on in the car, causing me worry as I hoped the car wouldn't break down. On the way home the light stayed on but I managed to get to my trustworthy mechanic who checked and found that a sensor had given an incorrect reading for some reason. Now the light is out and there is currently no problem with the car. I am so grateful it wasn't an expensive repair. -- Lou

Hello all. I have several things for which I am grateful.
First is the enormous project Missy (YATMAMA) has agreed to take on in reorganizing the team site. It has taken and continues to take much of her time but she perseveres and, as we can see, the new layout brings common topics together, making it easier for us to find related posts. Thank you, Missy.
Second is about $250.00 I saved last week when a mechanic bypassed a small switch in my car's steering column to allow the ignition to shut off instead of installing a new one. It was nice to find such honesty and it will be a pleasure to find others I can refer to him. Thank you Darren in Orlando.
Third is Walmart's policy of allowing gift cards to keep their value, even over several years. While cleaning out the car's trunk, I found a card and learned it still was worth it's $10.00 face value, as was another one I had held on to but had forgotten. With those two gifts, I purchased three new polo type shirts for less than $12.00, an average of less than $4.00 each. A real bargain. Thank you Walmart.
And, for the above and the blessing of special people in my life, thank you, Lord.

When we have sin in use we are to repent and do all we can to stop that behavior We are not to continue to live in sin.
I hate to admit it but in the past; I'd do most of my bible research when I was ill or too weak to do other things. But now, I love to read the Word and history books which talk about biblical history everyday. There is just so much stuff to learn...
