I almost always do fitness DVDs at my home, but I really mix it up because I have a lot of them.
Step, HIIT, circuit training...

I dusted off the treadmill this week and I'm planning on doing a mile a day for the month as a warm up for my beachbody workout. I'm doing the first tier workouts...starting with ten minute trainer.

Next weekend I'm doing a 10K INLINE SKATE!

I love rollerblading. It'll be nice to be on my blades again!

Other than that, kettlebells, dumbbells, resistance bands, some yoga, rebound boots, walking, and some P90X!! RIP60 suspension trainer...

One of these days I'm going to order the new-ish TAPOUT XT workout DVD set!

Also gonna try the SLEDGEHAMMER workout. Just 14 minutes swinging a sledgehammer. We already have one. I'm doing it OUTSIDE, in the yard, with NO ONE and NO PETS AROUND! SAFETY!!!

Oops. Forgot my stability ball- which I love. Also BODYWEIGHT EXERCISES. And my hula hoop and jump rope which I'm not using much right now. Cross-training!

I do an hour of stairs once a week, and am trying to do at least 20 minutes daily on the rower... recovering from a shoulder injury, and hope to be out on the water rowing this week....

I do circuit training or aerobic training almost everyday at my school's fitness classes. They are very tough! I also run on my own 2-3 times a week.

I do aerobic weight training 2-3 days a week and cardio 3-4 days a week.
I have a large collection of workouts on VHS (old school - right?), but that's what works for me.

I like to vary my routines, but I do cardio 5-6 days a week & strength training 2-3 days a week. I usually do 2 high intensity interval classes a week that last an hour & include strength training & intense cardio, so I get both on those days. I also love my kettlebell for this same reason, you get both cardio & ST in one. I run, ride bikes, take a spin class, take a TRX class, do the elliptical, & also have several DVD's that I use, including Bob Harper's inside out Cardio, Insanity, a kickboxing DVD, a Tae Bo DVD, etc. But variety is definitely the key to keeping me active. I still have the last 10-15 lbs to go, but plan to stay active even when I reach my goal. I've become addicted to the feeling exercise gives me & don't want to gain my weight back again!!!

I have the 30 Day Shred along with a ballet dvd and the workout videos on netflix. I'm training for a half marathon so that's a big calorie burner too. Then I go to workout classes at my local gym. Variety is a great way to keep from being bored.

Hi everyone!! New to the team, and since I already made this a goal for myself recently, when I found the team I thought it would be perfect motivation to keep going.

I have Jillian Michaels DVD's (30 day shred and Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism) but my favorites are Bob Harper's Inside Out Series (4 DVD's). They are killer!! But I notice I'm getting a little stronger and have to modify a little less with each workout!! If you love a challenge and the type of workouts that really push you, these are it. You don't stop and you work everything!! Even the yoga is super tough.

I don't want to lose my fat, because it always seems to find it's way home again - on my hips!!! I want to say goodbye to it and send it away forever......

I'm half way through an eight week 5K training program, with a goal of finishing in under 30 minutes (I haven't done that since I has 17, 40 pounds lighter and in MUCH better shape). With this program, I run or cross train five to six times a week, for up to an hour. I also have a customized, total body resistance training program at my YMCA which I do three times a week. When I keep my eating in check, I lose two to three pounds a week and typically gain two pounds of lean muscle each month. My resistance training program changes every four weeks.

I have lost 5lbs & 13.50 inches since I started Feb. 11, 2010 doing Core Rhythms, Zumba, Walking and strength training on my Bowflex.

I have a long way to go but I am determined to burn 500 calories a day 7 days a week until I reach my goal of 125lbs. I work on 10lbs at a time.

For me measuring shows more improvement so it is more motivating than the scale.

I just bought Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred but I've yet to do it. I've been doing the c25K and strength training using various challenges or sparkpeople videos. I have bands and a ball and they both came with disks so I have exercises I can use from there. That's all. I just want to experience a little of everything so I can figure out what I like. emoticon

I just found SP on 1/18/10! That was a great day for me. Till then, I was doing no exercise and need to loose 120 pounds! I have started counting eaten calories and cardio - walk on the treadmill to burn 500 calories/day. I am starting a new job (2 week training) on Monday so have to figure out how to fit exercise in the day. I WILL continue and try and increase my treadmill from 4 days a week (2000 calories) to 3500 calories a week. It may take a couple of weeks to get there, so please bear with me. Once I start regular work it should get easier, but my intention is to get there in a week or 2. If I commit to doing it by joining this team, I know I will do it.

Since I run I've had great success with a distance training program. For me its usually 12 - 22 weeks culminating in a race and incorporates strength training as well as cardio cross training.

I tend to like Jenny Hadfield's training programs. I've also used the Furhman Institutes FIRST training programs to good effect. If you're an beginning runner Spark has a good programs also.

No real official program. Just a whole mess of running, sit ups, push ups and whatever advanced workout I see on the internet, because when I see one, I always think to myself in my head "What makes you think this is so advance, I can do this, this is nothing you don't even look that fit". I do complete all of them, but usually afterwards I feel completely dead, and tell myself I won't do it again. To bad I've seen so many on this page already, now I have to complete them all :P.

I'm doing the "Couch to 5K" training. I also use home DVD's like Tae Bo. When I go to the YMCA with the family, I play (try anyway) basketball. I have also joined a few classes at the YMCA, and will be do the SP fitness challenge! I hope I can burn enough calories per week to meet the 3500 challenge!

I'm not accustomed to calorie counting this is truly a new journey for me. I know I seem very green but even when it comes to logging in my calories on SP it's a challenge because I seldom eat the selection of food thats on my list if that makes any sense. Can someone help me with that?

Any whooo... is anyone using any home fitness programs to help shed the weight?
