CTE are the Kult of Athena swords really good for dancing? The price seemed too good to be true but I have heard of other recommendations for that store. Do you have that sword? Do you like it?

Darth - excellent point (hehe). Same thing happened when I picked a didgeridoo... I could only play one in the entire shop. But I keep coming back to this one so it's sort of the same thing?

The Turkish Scimitar at $85 would be the one I'd get...I've seen some roughly the same price and that look the same and they're good swords.
One thing: you may want to ask if the sword is chrome plated; chrome plated swords can't be filed and they can be a bit slick to work with (although that can be worked around... my sword is chrome plated and I love it).
If there's any way you can buy a sword locally, do it. Blades have their own energy and sometimes feeling the sword a bit can make all the difference on how you can dance with it. You can have two swords exactly the same sitting side by side and one may feel better to you than the other. I can't explain it, but it happens. :)

I am buying a sword - but which one? This is my first so I want something that will last. My research indicates the Cas Hanwei Iberian is the uber best: bellydancesword.swordwares.co

or www.atlantabellydance.com/sto

TuaregScimitar.html
but it's $140!!!

I found this one that appears to be pretty much the same, but it's dull on one side and considerably less: www.atlantabellydance.com/sto

TurkishScimitar.html

Anyone have experience with either or have other suggestions? I am starting to chomp at the bit ::jumping up and down::

Thanks ladies!
