Keep in mind though that it is really important to read labels. Specifically most instant oatmeal has been processed enough that it won't make much of a difference in cholesterol levels. Instead, read the package and look for old fashioned oats and unprocessed whole grains. (Also, look out for the other processed grains that are posing as whole grains, but really aren't.)
