There are also a number of recipes on this site using Quinoa. I've already tried a few and they were good.

Thank You everyone for your tips. I will try Quinoa. I read tofu is another high protein source that is low in fat. Is folate really necessary. I know it is important for pregnant mothers but do we need that high of folate?

brown rice, kamut (a type of wheat, cooks like rice), beans mixed with rice makes a complete protein.

Hi,

For folate watch your cereals, kix, chex are two I have had that seem to have high amounts. Broccoli, peas. Some pastas I have had, egg noodles, Barilla Penne.

Protein, tuna in water, haddock and they listed the other white meats.

I am not sure as my son finished it so I can't check to box but he drinks Rice Milk. He likes it better than lactate free or soy milks.

I have a folate dietary supplement, if mine is low I take my vitamin at night.

My problems are magnesium and vitamin K.

How about some nuts for protein? Folate, I have no clue, as I don't track it.

I just started this group on tuesday and have been logging my nutrition and everytime I look at my feedback of my nutrition for the day. My report always says I need more protein and folate. How do you do this when you need low fat meals. I am meat eater but allergic to milk. Mind you I do have fat free milk with my cereal but small amounts. I can eat chees but like I said small amount but cheese has high of fat and well does meats. So what can I do up my protien and how do you get folate?
