Tried olive oil on prepared romaine lettuce salad with other veggies egg and chichen and it was kind of bland so will try some lemon or lime favored olive oil used to make a iceberg lettuce salad with veggies and sprinkle it with small amount of salad and let it wilt then add vegetable oil just before serving and my family loved it cannot wait to try the olive oil dressing on them one day at a time
I never smelled or tasted olives or olive oil till I came to US. I can do the Bertolli light. I know it is not as good a the EVOO but I just cant do it. I like to use the lime juice being a Brit. I am definitely a LIMEY. Pat in Maine still trying to get triglicerides to drop. If I do not I will have to do Statins-I do not like meds so food will have to do it.

equal amounts of olive oil, vinegar (balsamic preferably) and lime juice is a perfect vinaigrette. You can add to ir a finely diced garlic clove, let is stand for two hours, and it comes out delicious.
Wow seems theres a lot to learn about taking care of my concerning what I eat, Ive had olive oil on other things I've cooked but never salad, but I will definately try it with lemon juice. why not add a little pucker to my taste buds
