Ground flaxseed counts as a fat serving---the good kind, or egg serving or flour. This link will take you to a site that give approximations in substituting one for the other.

Hi Shar,

I take Flaxseed capsules everyday, but right off I can't remember what dosage.

As for the ground flaxseed, I buy the whole at the healthfood store and grind it myself. I just sprinkle it on top of my cooked food. It's got a very mild, nutty taste that's almost "not there".

Hi, occasionally I like to bake but want to make it healthier by adding ground flaxseed. Does anyone know how much I should add or how much flour I can replace without ruining the recipe? Also does anyone take a flaxseed capsule daily, I do I think it's 1000mg. Thanks!emoticon
