HI Berry4!

I am going to the library tomorrow so I jotted down a couple references you posted to check out emoticon
I think I have heard of the Book "Are You Tired.......Wired?" since I deal with extreme fatigue issues so I think this book was mentioned to me.........Memory not as good as used to be........ emoticon

My PC has to be returned to store, can't afford payments to own emoticon so will be spending more time at library when it is open.....The good part of going to the library is I am in walking distance

Thanks again!

Sue

This book is one I checked out from my local library:
"Are You Tired and Wired?" by Marcelle Pick M.D.

It's about learning to recognize adrenal dysfunction. There are 3 levels (kinds) she defines, plus a plan to improve the situation. That is always a WIN in my opinion!

Unprocessed ...How to achieve vibrant health and your ideal weight. (includes over 100 recipes)
by Chef AJ w/ Glen Merzer (@ 2011)

A lot of what the author / chef shares is her own journey. (fairly short book; 178 pgs.)

Here's a quote from p. 45 that caught my attention last night: "If it's not a fruit, vegetable, seed, nut, bean, whole grain, starchy vegetable, or legume, then it's NOT a whole food, it's a PROCESSED food.

Another book by Lysa TerKeurst: "Unglued" ...making wise choices in the mist of raw emotions.

Hm....definitely something I could use!

From p. 14 - hit me between the eyes as I was reading: "The Hope of Imperfect Progress
..."Imperfect changes are slow steps of progress wrapped in grace."

(pgs 14-15) Here's a quote from her journal: " Progress. Just make progress. It's okay to have setbacks and the need for do-overs. It's okay to draw a line in the sand and start over again--and again. Just make sure you're moving the line FORWARD. Move forward. Take baby steps, but at least take steps that keep you from being stuck. Then change will come. And it will be good."

Wow! Just where I am in several areas! -- Choose what you want to apply this to, but it is a place to start for me!

I just saw your comment on mood swings. I just started menopuause and have terrible mood swings. I have found yoga to be somewhat helpful. Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas and how long do these mood swings last?

For those interested in a Christian perspective: "Made to Crave" by Lysa TerKeurst

"Made to Crave" is the missing link between a woman's desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary to make that happen. The reality is we were made to crave. Craving isn't a bad thing. But we must realize God created us to crave more of him. (from the Amazon listing)
* There is also a Spark Team (but not real active) following the book.

Here is the title of a book to check out. It indicates that many of our issues can connect to "how estrongenic foods and chemicals are making you/us fat and sick."

"The Anti-Estrogenic Diet" by Ori Hofmekler (@ 2007)

Without knowing about the book, I ended up following many of the suggestions and really did clear up a lot of my monthly issues and difficulties w/ TOM. (Still haven't solved my irrational mood swings.)
