Heart palpitations are definitely a symptom of peri-menopause. Freaked me out when I first got them. Another thing that more recently freaked me out was dizziness. Turns out that's a symptom too. This whole process is crazy! Feels like I'm losing my mind at times. Then I get a period and feel normal again.....for a short time...lol

I've had pain also, how ever I get them just before I would be having that TOM. Also for me it's lack of sleep. I'm not on any meds, just vit.
The hours of my days is some what off, I'm getting up at around 4:30 some days Monday's at 3:30, some days I do go back to bed.

If you feel you need to do go see you DR and see what they say.

Make sure you tell them when & were it's happening. And make sure they know about your cycle.

I was having issues with this over ten years ago, at that time i was Preg told the DR he said if it continues let me know, it did'ent.

But do let us know what you find out.

For me, I discovered that I had a fast heartrate (too many beats per minute). I'd been at a store where they have one of those heart monitor machines. I'd been leisurely shopping, not fast paced anything. It said I had 135 beats per minute. I called my DR as soon as I got home and they had me come right over. I sat in the waiting room for at least 45-60 minutes (found out later that that was intentional on their part to see if my heart rate went down at all....and it didn't). DR switched the medication that I was on. It was determined that that was the culprit. My mom had had that same problem with certain common OTC meds as well.

I think we need to pay attention to how our heart rate, etc,....read articles, use those free heart machines when you can (that checks the blood pressure), and mention any questionable results with DR.

Yep! I had that problem, yet it went away. PTL!!!

Some ladies think they are having a heart attack, from what they say.

However, to be on the SAFE side, check your meds to see if this could be a side affect. Also, wouldn't hurt to visit the Doc.

Take care. Let us know what you discover. emoticon

I get a jump in my heart. It is kind of like when your stomache turns over because you drive uphill very quickly or ride on a tilt a whirl at the fair. Only it is in my heart. It can happen when I am sitting, but most often happens when I lie down to go to sleep. Then, sometimes, my heart races for a minute or so and then goes back to normal.

Is this symptom shared by anyone? My kids are terrified that my heart is shot. I think it is a menopausal symptom.

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
