you're active throughout the day, not just at the gym or on the field, has
benefits that really add up. We build up our exercise quotient in small
ways: park far away from the mall or office, get off the bus or subway a
stop early, and take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator.
All the little moments of exercise will add up.
Every bit of movement you add to your day will certainly help! Small changes
can make huge differences over time. For example, think about that 120 calories/day. Since there are about 3500 calories in a pound of fat,
120 calories/day works out to about a pound of fat per month. That's
12 pounds in year, and 120 pounds in a decade ;-)
What are the fun, creative and interesting ways you burn extra calories
