I've been keeping the place clean. Cordless vacuums are great to pick up most stuff--not dog food though. I use the broom on that.
I also bought some good smelling cleaners to help me along. Mrs. Meyers lavender scented products are great and clean really well, too.
My new goal is to get started on my bedroom and get rid of what I don't need, and pack the rest. I also need to continue dusting!

I know what you are talking about. I have ADD and it is hard for me to keep things organized, but I usually know where things are. It is my "organized" mess. :)
I cleaned the house today, using a rechargeable vacuum, and some simple green with a mop. The rechargeable vacuum does an okay job, but the fact it is so easy to use, means I will happily use it! Then I can mop.
We have an elderly poodle here that pees a lot in her "box" but she then hops her paws in the puddle of pee before the piddle pad can absorb it, and she walks all over a room (never a straight line) and puts her pee pee paws all over the house. I get a little distressed as the owner of the poodle, my sister, never cleans up the floors. I decided today to not make a big deal out of it, and just use the easier vacuum! It is quicker too.
When we move to her house, she has cleaners and I won't have to clean anymore. Perhaps that will get me more organized to pack and get out of here? lol!
I've been thinking about hiring an ADD coach to help me with my house. I just need to get rid of stuff. Too much stuff and too small of a house.

That's a constant balancing act for me as well, Becca!
Some of my SFs on the GGs team were insprining me about doing more Strength Training, which I would like to do, but what I want most and want to figure out is how to make more progress on the organizational front. I don't expect miracles, but want to make more significant progress in a way that I can maintain and make lifelong habits, the way I have on the fitness & weight loss front. Still working on this.

My goals are to log less screen time and be more active. Unsure if I can do this. Need to get on SP less, but still support my friends. :)

On the last day of the year, what do you want to look back on? What do you want to have accomplished? How do you want to begin 2013? It's an interesting question.

That's exciting Gabby! I'm going to give this some thought and join in over the next couple of days. I know I want to get my entryway cleared of clutter--I have a reward that I've promised myself, that I really want, so I have incentive. I also have a deadline of getting a bunch of reading done for a seminar I'm attending in a week and a half--that I'm paying for--in wellness certification. So the organizing will have to take a back seat for a little while.

I signed up for two 1/2 day classes on how to write a non fiction book proposal and how to get published. I've cancelled other classes I was interested in before like one in digital photography but these are on a Sat and not at night. I usually run out of energy by evening.
I am one of those people who never make resolutions, so just wanted to let you know that I wont be posting on this thread because l work best when doing things just one day at a time. Most likely this is because it's how we get and stay sober in AA and it has worked so well for me in that area of my life. I stil know what my goals are - just don't look ahead and tend to focus my energy on one goal at a time. I have tried other ways but this seems to be what works for me. :o)
Wishing us all well in reaching our goals.

I'll start and add to the goals when I've given it more thought: 1. I want to lose the weight I gained back this year - all 22 lbs of it and if I could lose 5 more then great. I need to lose the weight for my health 2. Get back into the habit of daily meditation and visualizations or at least 4x per week. 3. Be a better daughter and wife - try to have more patience and be less grouchy. Hug them and tell them I love them one extra time a day. Maybe I could take a walk when things are getting to me.
Next I have to figure out a daily plan for accomplishing these things - 3 should be the easiest and won't require a plan of action.
Ususally we make resolutions on January 1st (and I don't know about you but usually I don't follow through for long). Some people don't even like the custom of making New Years resolutions.
So this time let's resolve something ahead of time so we can congratulate ourselves for a job well done on the 1st of the year and look back on 2012 with a feeling of pride.
Doesn't matter what it is. Set a goal you know that you can do - don't set yourself up for failure with something nearly impossible to do.This isn't your typical SP weight loss or exercise challenge. This is for whatever personal goal you want to accomplish by the new year.
I know that if I write things down daily it helps me stay accountable. Feel free to keep track of your successes and set backs here and we'll all be celebrating New Years Day!
