This week I am learning how to use my exercise ball, and some simple exercises with it. Hoping to improve my balance(which has always been pretty bad). continuing with the two new cardio exercises I started as one of my action steps a couple weeks ago. Have been able to work up to 3 minutes with the bicycler exercise, but still needing to take lots of breaks while I'm doing it.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Phillipians 4:13

My goal for this week is better preparation for both meals and fitness. I need to map out my appointments to know where I can block in my exercise. I also need to take advantage of larger blocks of time to prepare for those time crunches, by making meals ahead and other prep work.

Last week a couple of last minute visitors and school projects threw me off and I was scrambling to fit things in. I'm hoping to learn new things to help me flow with that better.

This week, as part of my action steps to add 2 cardio exercises, I am doing a "bicycle" type thing where I lay on my exercise mat and just move my legs as if I was bicycling. I thought this was gonna be easy, but I only lasted 2 minutes, and that was with a couple of breaks. So my goal for this week is to work up to 3 minutes. I don't think I will try the bicycle crunches as I have a little trouble with my back, and the twisting motions seem to bother it.

okay, my pedometer did not work, and i never did get into the full swing of walking ... in turn, however, I found my jump rope and began jumping a few days ago. I will push myself to jump more every day.

A self-challenge is so tough for me because I don't have to be accountable to anyone but myself. I'm just starting on my voyage here so I'm going to start out slow tomorrow because it is a new week. I plan to drink 8 glasses of water (I absolutely HATE water), I plan to eat a vegetable (I mean A vegetable because I couldn't tell you the last time I had one), and then I plan to walk around the block once (I get winded going to the end of my driveway). You probably think these are minor things but in my life these are a GREAT way to start. Wish me luck.

I plan on working out at least 3 times this week. Sounds easy but the easier part it saying tomorrow not today I am tired. I also do the 2 mile walk at home video. Its so easy and I enjoy it. I take it to work with me when we are slow I pop it in and make my coworker do it with me too. I get a kick out of how uncoordinated they are. We are slow now so I think I will do it now! Thanks for the motivation!

I have been using a walking video that is two miles.I can now do the one mile comfortably.have completed two mile a couple of times.My goal is to no longer stop at one mile but do 2 mile consistently.

Okay, I am going out on a limb here. I really need to challenge myself. I am going to walk before I start my work day (M-F), and I am going to use a pedometer to see how far I am able to go. Hopefully each week I will be able to add more steps to my plan. I will continue to use the stairs instead of the elevator at work. :)laura

I am adding another segment to my cardio workout that I do (Chair Aerobics for Everyone). Last week, I completed 2 parts, so adding the 3rd part this week. There is one more part left after that.

Maybe eventually I'll have to end up going through the video 2 times each workout. Now that would definitely be a super workout! emoticon

Still tweaking my diet. Hope to get it all worked out this week. Mostly trying to figure out what the right amount of calories is for me. I have a range, but the low end seems too low, and the high end seems too much.

Two goals:
-drink 8 cups of water a day (I usually do this, so its pretty easy

I have gotten away from some of the good habits that helped me to make such great progress.

To help get myself back on track, I am going to physically measure all of my food...NO guesstimating my portions.

I am with RUNESDELUMIERE, I want to get more fresh fruits and veggies into my diet this week.
I'm constantly providing them for my kids, you'd think it'd be easier to just pop a few in my mouth at the same time, instead of reaching for the ice cream. That's MY goal for the week.

very good and reasonable goals! Both are HIGHLY important to your success.

I also want to challenge you all to look at your fiber intake...it is proven that one out of ten adults gets the right amount of fiber.

This one small change helps the body stay clean of toxins and has positives impact on diabetes (Type 2) and weight loss....

I may blog about this later because it is "that" important!

List one new, healthy habit you are going to create for yourself this week.
