Started the JessicaSmithTV.com Hourglass Workout yesterday.
Today was 30-minute HIIT it Hard video, then I did the elliptical for 20 minutes (to get the rest of my steps/calorie burn for the day).

Oh we have Wii Fit also... I may have to do a Wii fit challenge.
Go girls doing great.

Leslie~ I just settled on a regular pedometer from Walmart. Couldn't find one that syncs with my Samsung4 ( all for iphones) and didn't want to wait any longer..

Only downfall I haven't found a place on me that it will calculate the elliptical. So I have to add that in.

Went to Y today and Did 2 different ellipticals and did lots of AB work.

emoticon Leslie! I was a member of Planet Fitness for awhile but just didn't make it often enough at all to keep paying so I quit, but the one thing I REALLY liked there was the elliptical. They are SO good for cardio and SO easy on my knees :)
I do have a treadmill and exercise bike here at home though and lots of Walk Away the Pounds DVDs so I just need to push past my fear and actually get ON them again ... might have to dust them off first, though ;)
And thanks, Rhonda, for mentioning the chair exercises! I see those here on SP and then I keep forgetting about them. I need to make a goal for myself too for cardio ... 10 minutes of ANY cardio a day ... and then continue to work my way up to longer and increase intensity too as I progress :)

I hit the elliptical really hard tonight, it was only 20 minutes but I punched in a program (so the resistance would change automatically) and raised the elevation and practically ran on it. It was so great and I feel really good.

Rhonda,
A friend/co-worker gave me her BodyMedia because she does not use it any more and said she does not see using it again so I could have it (I priced them, wow, it was a really sweet gift). The subscription costs $7/month but because I was new to it I got the first 3 months free so I got the first 4 months for $7. I did not want to get something I had to pay a monthly fee for, but I used weight-watchers for a long time and this is cheaper than that.

So far I LOVE it, it transfers all of your activity to SP, it doesn't put in what the activity is, but carries over the minutes and the calories burned, steps and how long you sleep. It seems to be a really nice tracker. If I am away from my computer I use the app on my phone to see where I am with steps and activity. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't carry over the food tracker from one to the other, so I am tracking on both sights right now. I track on BodyMedia because it gives you calorie deficit which is really nice but I really like SP because it really helps with my cholesterol.

Again, I really loved my SP Tracker, it just wasn't compatible with my computer for some reason and that is great for steps also.

That is awesome Rhonda :) I really do love the spring time for outdoor activity/exercise :) We had lots of rain here yesterday ... and snow!

I STILL have not really gotten going with any real exercise :(
My fibromyalgia holds me back and scares me. I'm afraid to do anything because I'm afraid it will set off a flare-up but NOT doing anything isn't doing me any good either and the longer I go without doing anything the HARDER it will be and MORE likely to set off a flare. It's a no-win situation but I'm just going to have to DO it and work my way through it.

I went for 2 bike rides today... Loving the sunshine but wish we had some rain to wash away all the pollen. My nice pretty silver car is now yellow along with everything outside.

Leslie, I have been searching for something along the same lines. But I also want to be able to look at my tracker and see just how many steps I have left to do. There are WAY to may options out there.

The only gadget I use is a pedometer. My computer barely supports SparkPeople so I don't dare get anything that requires uploading/downloading/syncing/whatever. I've heard people talk about the Fitbit though and the general consensus always seems to be that they like them.

I've been having trouble getting back to my Walk Away the Pounds again but I'm planning to really get the exercise going again starting Sunday. Going to have my son here tomorrow for his weekly home visit and then have stuff to do in the afternoon/evening so going to be busy, busy, busy. I joined a couple of Sparkteams to help me get going again ... we'll see what happens :)

Good luck with that T25 ... I've heard it's really intense!

Not sure the best place to ask this question. I, unfortunately, have to replace my Spark Activity Tracker with something else, as the dongle sync point and my computer apparently don't like each other. So I was wonder what device some of you use to count steps and/or track activity. I was thinking about investing in the Fitbit because I LOVE the Spark Activity Tracker, but wanted to see if anyone else uses one before I spend a lot of money on anything.

I am going to get the elliptical for a few tonight, I had my colonoscopy yesterday so had to get the electrolytes back up. I will get back to regular workouts over the weekend and tracking on Sunday. Hopefully it won't be too hard to get back into the workouts, thinking about starting T25 Sunday/Monday.

Ok so I went to look at my pedometer thinking I had well over 12000 but it said 2076... Think it is time for a new one anyway...
I played tag with son which normally is that amount but then we went for a 2.5mile bike ride and did some yardwork plus my 10 minute walk in the morning.

I didn't really do any 'official' exercise today but I did make a conscious effort to keep moving today. And it must have worked because I logged over 13,000 steps on the pedometer today :)

I've just been doing some of what I call 'easy walking' ... slow pace on the treadmill or around the house (while on the phone). I'm hoping to try Walk Away the Pounds on Thursday ... if the easy walking goes well and the foot/ankle pain lessens enough.

Skipped wworking out yesterday, so I tried the cardio kickboxing from my Sparkpeople CardioBlast dvd today. Its only a 10 minute segment, with a short warm up and cool down added its a 20 minute total workout. I could not do it. I made it through the warm up and about 90 seconds of the kickboxing portion before I felt that all too familiar pop in my back (herniated disk). So resting for a little while then I will try something a little easier paced, probably a walk.

I am really impressed with your activity levels ... and a little jealous too! My fibromyalgia and my lingering cough are really holding me back and I'm discouraged to say the least :/ I am going to get back to my Leslie Sansone this weekend though ... even if I can only do half a mile I am going to make that effort and do what I can :)

I'm supposed to be training for a triathlon this summer. As crazy and impossible as it sounds, I've seen dozens of ladies and gentlemen our age and our fitness level do it (my favorite memory is a lady in her sixties riding her roadster as if she was on a lazy afternoon ride... she actually wore a sweater and pedal pushers!! She leaned back, had a grin on her face. and was having the time of her life... it didn't matter at all what place she was in, she was just loving being there)...

But I have to be honest... I hate deadlines, and I hate being pressured, so I sort of resent that I have to train. I've always wanted to do a tri, but on my terms, not on someone else's (I work part time as a librarian, and part time at a multi-sport company).

So I decided that I would do what I wanted... something I enjoy... then I would do the training. So today, I did a Biggest Loser workout DVD (proven to be tried and true), then swam laps for a half an hour. So in all, 75 minutes...

Holly

Yesterday was gym day. Did 80 minutes, a combo of cardio and strength. Today was a Sparkpeople video. I did the 80's retro and the walking routine. A total of 30 minutes by the time you add warm up and cool down.

Today I tried part of one of my new sparkcoach dvd's. I say part because it is set up with a 5 minute warm up, 5 minute cool down and several (6 or so) individual segments that you can add or subtract as you want. I remember there was a walking one and an 80's flashback one. I did the 80's. The whole workout was 21 minutes long.

Tomorrow should be another gym day, but that depends on when the snow actually starts up here. Latest forcasts puts us in the 12-16 inch range. So I will most likely do another of the dvd segments tomorrow, Gym Thurday. Which gives me a day off then I can meet my sister for a workout on Saturday. Still on track to finish strong.
