I've always loved my elliptical and despised the treadmill. But lately I have revisited the treadmill and started the SP Rookie Running Program and am really enjoying it. Trying to love the whole strength training thing, but its a work in progress.

After having to give up running due to lung issues, I have taken up walking again. I am finally starting to enjoy it, and I also really enjoy stretching afterwards.

I would like to start training to walk 5K again, try to get my time under 62 minutes this time.

You mean we're supposed to enjoy exercise and have a favorite?!?

But seriously, I love biking, but living in Iowa, I haven't been able to since fall emoticon . But Spring is almost here, so I should be back to it soon.

Sometimes I enjoy walking, but I have to be in the mood. If my puppy is being a good walking buddy it seems to help!

I'm hoping to restart the C25K program again soon, but the weather, and my life, have not been cooperating. I started it last Spring, going through the whole program once, just walking faster instead of running until I could do the whole thing at a fast walking pace, then started again with running, but tore my ACL during the second week and had to stop. I'm ready to run again now and looking forward to restarting.

I love the DVDs by Leslie Sansone. They are extremely easy to follow and the time seems to go by quickly. I own the "burn body fat" while walking with weights DVD which offers 1, 2, or 3 mile workouts. I have dropped a lot of inches in a short time.

I have thought about doing C25k program however I think after talking to my sister that I am going to change it up a bit. She started running after her husband did and she found that although the program is a good one that she did it at her own pace rather than do exactly what the program wanted.

I enjoy zumba because I enjoy dancing and don't get to go dancing because the clubs are weird when you are in your 40's emoticon. I also learned that when I do group fitness classes I'll push myself more than if I'm at home with a dvd.

I just started doing "The Biggest Loser Workout: Power Sculpt". I like how I can really feel my muscles improving and I am only on Beginner still. It allows you to choose your workout and it runs through the warmup, then the workout(s) and then the cooldown.

I'd have to say walking right now. Everything is so pretty outside. The trees ,flowers. some of the people look pretty good too. Haha. Birds are singing, kids playing, wind is blowing sometimes anyway. I guess I just like to see whats going on around me. The changes in the houses, ideas people have for their yards. Lots to look at. Winter time is great to all the Christmas lights. Give it a try.

Because of the amount of weight that I have to lose, walking right now is my favorite. I just put on my walking shoes several times a day and either walk outside or on the treadmill.

I do those walking DVD's by Leslie & love it. I like to walk outdoors but found that if I do the DVD's I get a better work out & stick with exercising. I like the 1 mile & 2 mile ones as she has you doing the arm movements with weights ( I use soup cans/water bottles as my weights)and my arms are heavy so I'm hoping it helps me to get slimmer.

The DVD's have you basically marching in place but I have enough room to walk 6 steps forward/backward or side ways so I do that. It has actually improved my walking backwards as I use to be clumsy & trip over my feet when I had to step back.

Give it a try...

Angel, Walking is great exercise!! Have you ever tried Leslie Sansone dvd's Walk away the Pounds? They give you a really good workout on days when the weather is nasty. Does your dog mind walking in the rain?? I have to drag my puppy out to go to the bathroom when it's raining hard!! Maybe he would do better if I got him a raincoat???emoticon

Ok to be honest NONE..
I am trying to get into the groove back in the day i used to be a exercise fanatic i mean i worked out daily and if the phone rang i freaked cause it was interrupting my exercise, now im the complete opposite, if i really had to choose i would say the paula abdul dance workout was my fave (it will kick your butt) but back in the day it was not a problem, now i feel when i work out im gonna make the floor start squeeking or make things shake with me jumping about.
so for now im trying to just walk with my husband and the dog.

It's called "CherFitness_A New Attitude". You can get it online, but only in tape form. Her instructer, Kelly Roberts, does the workout, and Cher is up front with her. Kelly Roberts has other videos out too, but I haven't tried them. This is a good workout. I'm on my 2nd tape, since I've used it so much, but I did find a way to put it on DVD now, so I have a backup. I also do Jillian Michaels "30 Day shred" which I put on DVD from my cable network. She has 3 workouts ...but, I can only do the first one right now. Plan on working on #2 in about 15 lbs. emoticon

I like to do a variety, but I do enjoy doing step. I have a step "tape" that is older - by Cher, that I do love to do. The step itself is about 35 minutes long, and then they do an ab workout, followed by a leg/butt workout. Total of about one hour 20 minutes. I try to do that 3-4 times a week.

I did try jogging on mine tonight-went for 2-3 min. NOT BAD...but then we had company and only got in 5 min of exercise...emoticon
