Coco has a raincoat, a winter coat, a fall/spring sweater, a Halloween costume ( a pirate), a life vest (we have a pool) and numerous tshirts including a muscle shirt with short that is designed as a swimsuit. He looks so cute it that one.

We got the life preservers last summer, that is the only thing that fits them well and doesn't come off. My first 3 pugs would fall in the water and sink like rocks, so when we took a lake vacation last summer I knew I had to get the preservers. My current little guys had no interest in the water.

Mine have sweaters, coats (winter and rain), life preservers, and santa suits. Not all of it fits well (I'll have to check out that Pug Snugglie website). And nothing with a hood really fits well, as the hood comes down over their eyes. My puggle, Moose, is particularly in need of warmth, as he doesn't have a natural double coat. He tolerates clothing. Marty is perfectly ok with wearing clothes. :)

Do, or do not. There is no 'try'.

I have tried many sweaters over the years. I always find that the fur gets into the knit and pulls it backward toward the tail. What I want to try is some sort of polar tech or fleece material that may stay put better. Maybe evern line it if I had to. My sister is an incredible knitter and sewer. I need to see if she would consider knitting/sewing and lining little jackets for me. She has a rescue pitbull girl who had mange when she adopted her. Her fur came back after treatment but has always been very thin so consequently she is always cold. Sis has nitted some show stoppers for her. I crochet (or at least I used to a lot). Maybe I should try that.

I have tried to put outfits on my dogs but with little success. Bogie had the cutest bomber jacket but would hit the floor and not move an inch when I put it on him. We never made it out of the house!

Daisy sits and looks up at me with a cocked head and seems to be saying, "You can't be seriously considering a public viewing of me in this, can you?"

I do think form fitting sweaters are a good idea, though, for cold weather, even in the car. Our little pugs are just not built for extreme weather, either hot or cold.

(I love this topic. I am going to bring back some of the old, but timeless, threads. )

I have tried on many occasions to dress my guys. I have and adorable, Dickensian red coat with black faux fur collar for my little beauty queen. She looks adorable in it. The hardest part is getting DH to put it on before he takes her for a walk. The boys have bomber jackets, real manly man jackets. Same problem with DH. He does all the walking because I am usually at work. Gotta get to work on him! For Halloween I bought some adorable costumes, a bee with wings, a prisoner with ball and chain and Dracula, but they didn't fit well so my kids just walked out of them : ( I guess I need to learn how to make my own costumes.

We adopted our Pugs from the state rescue and their owners sent all kinds of toys with them, and a couple of outfits. To amuse ourselves, we dressed them up. They attacked the clothes, trying to get it off, then started tugging on each others clothes. They will let me put capes on them during winter walks--they're getting old and don't tolerate cold as well as they used to.

I cannot make myself be thin today, but I CAN be healthier by making a few smart choices. I focus on what needs to be done today and tomorrow takes care of itself.

Our 2 pugs have fleece winter coats that I got at a website that makes them especially for a pug's unique size & shape, believe it or not! They're called Pug Snugglies. I believe that's what the website was called, too.
We also have Phila. Eagles jersies for each of them, as well as Eagles bandanas. Occasionally, we put other bandanas on them, too.
I've seen some real extreme outfits on pugs at meetups before. I'm not THAT ridiculous!! But they really do look cute dressed up! emoticon

They hate the cold! They have lots of sweaters and fleece.
They can tolerate snow sometimes, especially if they are feeling playful, but HATE the rain. When their paws get wet, they get upset and we have to towel-dry their paws when they come in the house. They have yellow rain slickers to keep them dry in the rain. We tried "dog booties" for the cold/snow, but they hated having them on their feet and kicked them off.
But like you said, they don't tolerate either extreme (hot or cold), so in the summer when they are out with us, we make sure to bring cool down supplies.
They are quite spoiled! emoticon

You bet we dress our little girl, called Cookies. Since we live in Calgary,Alberta,Canada. Our winters get a little cold, with lots of snow. She does not like getting her feet wet so we carry her quite often. She also has some fleece wear when the weather is warmer, three winter coats depending
on the severity of the weather. All her coats have hoods.(and believe it or not she only is traveling, carried to the car).We find pugs do not tolerate any weather that is at either extreme. How about your'e boys? emoticon

Okay, I get a lot of grief from non-pug owners about dressing my 3 boys. I do admit, it is a little much that my boys have a complete wardrobe, but I want to know what other people think.
And, if you do dress your pugs, what kind of outfits do they have?
Mine have tank tops, t-shirts, Halloween costumes, Christmas and other holiday outfits, yellow rain slickers, sweaters (LOTS, of course, we live in New England), Patriots jerseys (again, from New England), etc...
