Haven't been here for a while and I intentionally didn't post until I felt I had really gotten myself back on track. So I finally feel as though Im ready and my intent is to post more regularly.

My trip to Disney was as an escort for dd choir. I don't Know my actually milage, but I logged in 10 miles for all the running around in the park. I added an additional 5 miles for the rest of the week. That included escorting yhe girls up and down the steps an on their many trips to the gift shop.

this past week I actually dragged the bike back out a few times and managed to log an additional 6 miles in. And I also went swimming twice. I'm still working on the food thing, but i think I'm getting better.

I am still on I-15, but Im making progress. emoticon

t i am on my way to Disney and I think I'll be adding quite a bit there. Still on the same road and have about 47 still to go. Is it possible to add miles from doing Disney. I will probably come back with shin splints.

I was able to add about 8 miles in so far this week. Between the real bike, the Wii and walking the dog. I think I will also use my tread mill. Might as well get some use out of it. I have about 100 miles to get to the next highway and that it going to take some time. So I'd better get moving.

Hi there! Great job on the 5 miles! I hear you :) its getting a little tricky here getting ready to go out of town myself and shopping for sons graduation and DD's wedding. I have been on the bike off and on but not on here to log but for sure I know I have at least another 10 miles. I will check my tracker. I will be gone for a couple weeks :) Keep going :) I will step it up this week also .

Well I haven't been back to the gym. but I did get in one. My dd has to go to choir rehearsal once a week an hour away. So i usually just sit in the car and watch movies while I am waiting. But this week I put my bike in the back and rode to the park. Everyone was out walking, running and biking. I did about 3 rounds and then rode back for almost 5 miles. Haven't done much since there. But will be back on the bike after tax season. Right now I am still on CA-210, but I am about a half mile from I-15. I have gone a total of 52+ miles. I am amazed with myself.

Jen, you're doing great. Taking a break will only put me a notch or two closer. Don't think I'll catch up, though.

Wet and cruddy weather has put me out of the mood and when it dried up, I was just lazy for a spell. But this morning I woke with a desire to shed a few pounds and actually went to the gym. You were right it is so much easier. After a little over an hour, I'd biked about 9 1/2 miles. I am very exhausted right now and literally fighting sleep. But so glad I made this move today.

I am still on I-605. You are well ahead of me. Hopefully, l'll get back out there and close the gap between us soon.

Hey Jen, I haven't done any riding this week. The weather is pretty dreary (that a great playon words!) It's been rainy and chilly. So I have been staying in. Plus lots of other things going on. I hope that things dry up and warm up so I can get back on the seat before I lose my momentum. I let you know how I'm doing.

My total so far on the spark tracker for milage is 146.5 so far...:)
I am really proud of all of us for doing so well and sticking with it!
I slowed down last week most of my milage was from the first two weeks I was doingsome 20mile days....I was kinda snowed in and worked on it...But weight loss wise I did not lose those weeks...so I am continuing on and doing both focusing on my food intake as well.
My boys had 7 shows of guys and dolls they were in two weekends in a row and I had worked a couple days the one week as well as visiting some friends so its been an unusual couple weeks. I am ready to get back to it. THanks for your patience...
Remember I said I would do double what you do so but that I would be with you as far as our destination on the road....I will continue to report my milage but we are in this together till all of us cross the finish line...hugs jen

I've added 10 miles to my trek this week. It is actually walking and probably more than that, but it's what I did. It puts me on CA-210.

My total is now 28,18 miles, whichputs me in the middle of I-210. I didn't ride today. Two appts with dd, grocery shopping and then to work. I was to exhausted when I came home. But don't go to work until 11 tomorrow and plan on getting in a quick ride in the morning.

Sara, and jen, where are you right now. Need to know where we are stopping for lunch on Sunday.

Well, with DST, it was too dark to go riding this morning after the bus left. Then I decided to do my biking on the Wii Fit. Figured it was better than nothing. I did 2.2 miles, which finally got me onto I-605. Then this afternoon, I got a sudden burst of energy and decided to drag out the old bike anyway. Did another 3.3 miles which means that in less than half a mile, I'll be turning onto I-210. I'm really proud of myself.

Sara, you are doing so good. I think you will be catching up with me soon

OK, I think I've figured it out. I've done one hour so far, which at 5 miles an hour would put me on I-10 E, 1.5 miles along. I'll keep posting and see how far I get.

Sara, welcome! As you can see this is more for fun as it is for fitness. So jump right in and let us know where you are and when you get there. We'll just meet you there.

I am still on I-10. DD had teeth extracted on thursday and I almost didn't get any riding done at all but maanage to squeeze in a ride as it was getting dark that left me 7/10 of a mile from the exit. Since then have just been enjoying my company. They leave on Monday and I hope to play a bit of catching up.

Hi flybabies, nice to meet you. I can help you with the biking without mileage. Since we are a team and no member is left behind policy....We will always go by the lowest milage of the team members. keep track of yours on the tracker but for our trip together we will go by the lowest for the day.
I ride 30 minutes and get 5 miles usually so that will be the milage for those who have no way of knowing. Divide the 5 miles up accordingly with
15 minutes being 2.5 miles :)
Does that sound good?
I have on my blog the route and the mileage under one step a thousand miles I believe :) I will post it again under the new link I see.

Now that's a biking trip...virtually, of course. Is there a place where you map out your route on here for a trip that long?

I love this idea, but all my bike riding is done indoors on a borrowed bike no longer has any readout of speed or mileage. I'd love to do something according to time, but I have no idea how many miles I cover. I know I'm not at all fast at this point. Any suggestions? I need motivation to do 30 minutes a day. (Physio requirement, but it's boring, boring, boring.)

If not now, when?

Jen and I kinda took over the tearoom with our biking challenge, so I decided to move it down here. If anyone wants to join us please do. Jen mapped the route so that you can follow along depending on how many miles you have ridden. I put the route in excel format, so I could get the cumulative at each turn. So right now I have gone 18+ miles, which puts me on I-10. Tomorrow, if I do my average 3 miles, I will be getting on to I-605N for about 5 miles. This is a fun way make a boring bike ride more exciting. If the outside is nasty in your area, maybe you have a gym, you can use. I will try to divide my ridding between the gym and actual outdoor biking.

So if you think you might be interested in doing this, jump on in and let us know. Sunday is a day of rest, so we will be looking for a place to meet and have a virtual meal.
