Even if you don't get a specific amount of calories burned, exercising is good for the body!

Yesterday I didn't have time to go to the Y for a workout. BUT, one of my chores took me near the facility, so I popped in and did 23 min on the treadmill. Only 90something calories, but I was pleased that I even got that in, considering I had planned on nothing! Today I'll get a full workout.

PS I put a low sodium pork recipe on the Spark Recipe. If interested look up 'pork barbequed low sodium'. It has only 37mg sodium/serving.It's a crockpot recipe but you could do it in the oven (but not for 7 hours! 2 or 3 should do it)

I never get up to 350. I walk for 2 hours and barely get 300. Just can't go any longer. Don't know what I did last night, but this morning my back and hips were so sore I couldn't lift one foot in front of the other! Still sore tonight but then I was sitting at the computer all day, no chance to lay down (although I did ask one of the guys in the warehouse if he would put a mattress on the treadmill for me lol He thought that was funny)Got my walk in today, but had to go very slow. Hey, at least I'm not always just sitting around!

I got 283 on the treadmill; that was walking one hour which was about 2.75 miles. This is good for me.

Slow but will get there!

I don't know how many I burned, I did the stationary bike for 12 min.(at level 10 @ 10mph), and swam for 30 min.(I did 12 laps-9 laps is a quarter of a mile).I also did free weights, but that's not cardio, is it? This was my 3rd day in a row at the Y, and it feels great! I do the gym for 30 min then the pool for 30 min.

I editted because:
I just logged in my fitness and discovered I burned 468 calories with those two cardio things! I never checked the calories burned before! Good to know.

By the way, I've been doing well on my sodium intake, 1000-1200 daily for the past week, and my ankles are happy they're not so swollen!

aw shucks...only burned 232 today on the Wii....I'm going to TRY to get my evening walk in at work today...but doubt I get that far in calories though.

Happy Wednesday to everyone!

Your challenge today is to BURN 350 CALORIES THROUGH CARDIO EXERCISE. You do not need to burn these calories all at once. Feel free to break up your exercise throughout the day. The goal is to burn AT LEAST 350 calories by the end of the day.
