I would like to reach a goal of:

*220lbs.
*Focus more on having a set time or routine for going to the gym.

I am doing at least 90mins of Cardio a week & strength training but the hours & days that I do go seems so random it's easier for me to let things get in the way.

Blessings to you all! emoticon

Weight is just a relative number, how you feel health wise and about yourself is more important (a nurse practitioner told me this).

It is wonderful that you feel so much better Holly. I know that while the weight is not where I would like to have it, I do feel much better and more energetic and my clothes fit nicer and to me that is most important.

I just want to get the weight off I gained over the holidays which was 7 pounds; 8 more pounds would be nice but like you said, if I don't I will eventually. Just going to walk on my treadmill daily and be thankful I feel so much better since I started eating more healthy.

Slow but will get there!

I think I put on the Wii that I want to lose 8 pounds by then. I just need to work on getting daily exercise, and I think my foods will follow, along with drinking water.

Who have you encouraged today?

My big challenge is getting my sugar levels under control (elevated due to another medication I am on), plus getting my triglycerides under control...they have been crazy for about a year now.

Working on getting my cholesterol number down under the 200 mark and keeping my salt levels under control for the b/p.
Hopefully I will have hit my goal weight by that time.
But the cholesterol and B/P our my challenge for the next 3 months.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY.

These are great goals everyone! The challenge doesn't have to be weightloss motivated, it can be to get certain numbers within your bloodwork down, or to have your clothes fit better or to drop a clothes size, rather than weight loss. The choice is up to you. For myself though, I do like to go after the weightloss. If I succeed, great...if I don't I look at the overall picture of my health, size in terms of measurement and go by that!

emoticon March 1 is my next checkup date. I would like to see a significant drop in cholesterol and blood pressure. So working on Sparks program is imperative if I am to avoid going on medications. Your support is truly appreciated!

Interesting that this scares me so...I have spent so many years trying to do this, saying that I want to lose 10# by whenever. It never worked, so I am hesitant to go there.

I am willing to commit to drinking 64 oz. of water each day, which is totally new for me. I have done it for 3 days straight now, and I think that it is getting easier.

ok, by the end of March, my goal is that my apring/summer clothes are loose on me!!!

For myself...I am going to make my goals set a little low. I would like to lose at least 10 pounds by the end of March and Spring into Spring feeling better. How will I do this:

- Eat more veggies
- Drink 10 to 12 glasses of water daily
- Cardio exercise 3 to 4 times a week
- Strength train 3 times a week or more
- Take time to relax, reflect and enjoy life
- Say something positive about myself and others every day!
- Stay within calorie, sodium, carb and sugar range daily!

This is a new year and a new challenge. Think about where you would like to see yourself by the end of March and list what your goals are and how you plan on getting there. Feel free to come back from time to time and post how you are doing and of course please feel free to ask for any encouragement as we are all in this together.
