It has been a wild month without computer access. I have gained 7 pounds but I am ready to get back on line.

Slow but will get there!

I had met a goal in August and was going to challenge myself to lost 10 more pounds by November and with the weather changes and my asthma acting up, my exercise went thhhhhh...downhill...I'm back UP to 195 when I was DOWN to 188. I have no goal at the end of this year. My work schedule is too hectic right now. Our work schedule changes after December. I'm hoping to get a better workout and all other kinds of schedules then. Started my exercising up just this week as well as getting back into SP altogether.

From what I've seen in this thread so far, you all are doing great! emoticon

Who have you encouraged today?

WAY TO GO HOLLY!!!!!!

The medicine is finally working out of my system and discovering that I held steady last month, though lost a bit in inches again. So going to keep plugging away, as I know sometimes I lose in size before the scale shows anything!

I had a bad last part of the month. The first part of October I was down 5 pounds. Then I had to go on a steroid dose pack, due to some dental work, and that medicine does not do well with me, so the reaction I had was I gained 8 pounds and 3 inches in my waist in ONE DAY!!! So I know it is bloating, which is slowly starting to subside. So right now the scale is not doing justice to me, as I still have some bloating left and I am in that T.O.M. So will see how I am doing next week.

WAY TO GO!!! WOOHOO!!! No change for me this week, though was unable to exercise like I normally do due to my son feeling bad, having to have a dental procedure done under sedation, along with me spending five hours in a dental chair on Monday too....in order to have some work done. Also, I admit I haven't been eating like I should have this past week, as I can hardly chew anything and everything that is somewhat softer has sodium in it! UGH!! But, here's hoping this next week sees things changing!!!! I dislike plateaus, but know why I am in one and hope to get out of it this week.

I lost 4 pounds this week. Don't know how (no change in diet or exercise) but I will take it. 15 pounds to go for my mini goal by end of year.

To hit my goal weight and stay there by years end. I took on this challenge with my sister after x-mas last year,(we're both doing great with this website). Was hoping the B/P and cholesterol numbers would be down, but not the case, was put on b/p meds. 3 months ago, will know next week about the cholesterol meds. Was hoping after dropping 40 lbs. my numbers would have been better (it's that mom thing). All of this makes you think about what you put in your mouth and that's a good thing. We all just have to hang in there, we all can do this. emoticon This website has worked for me and 2010 will be healthier for me and my sister....LR

Sounds like a plan to me. Would love to be down to that by January 1 or even by my birthday that month, Ground hogs day by the latest! Definite plan!

My goal is 200 pounds too so maybe we can do it together. Wouldn't it be great to be down to say 199.9 on January 1. If not we can always aim for Groundhog day. LOL We will get there!!!

I am in a Plateau and not giving up. I think my goal will now be to reach 200 by year end. I was hoping to go below that, but setting it more realistic now!

You can do it!
My main goal is to not have to go on cholestrol med when I have my physical in Nov - and then
My goal is to be under 125, I know this is a realistic goal - but only since I joined Spark People did I realize that it was a realistic goal.
Thanks to all of you, especially those of you who have been supportive. I have never had this kind of support.

I see myself closer to 200lbs - I'm going to set my goal to be at or under 205 by the end of the year.

Where do you see yourself by the end of this year? This challenge can help. Just set some long-term goals for yourself, whether it be dropping a dress size, a certain amount of weight, etc. The choices are yours.

As for myself, I want to leave 200 ville for good, which is only about 10 pounds, but I am aiming for 20 or more lost by the end of the year. I would also like to be down another pants size by then.
