I just joined this team and read through almost all the ideas and they are great! I LOVE the bracelet and charms idea - and I've not been interested in charm bracelets before. I would not mind buying charms for weight loss and other milestones. I think it would be a great way to support this free site.
I also liked the Christmas ornament idea, too. I suggest it could be clear, like a suncatcher. Then it could be used all year and by people of other religions.
The Spark shirt, "Catch me - if you can" would be very cool, but I'd like the small letters to say "and you can". It seems more "Sparky".
Last thing, I saw very little feedback on the ideas. It would be good to have monthly or quarterly reports or maybe just a "sticky post" (or what ever those information only posts are called) to let us know what the SparkPeople Store folks think. emoticon

How about something to decorate walls of a workout room or gym? It would help spread the spark. I would love to see a big logo. I printed some of the motivation pictures and backed them with foamcore. They hang up in my workout room with other magazine pull outs as mini-posters but something official would be neat to have.

It is what I do from this minute on that decides the future and my progress. Concentrate on little steps forward and don't focus on the backward ones. Keep going forward and looking up! WE have been there, WE all can do this!

After searching the store, I've been looking for Coach Nicole's DVDs that could be as an iPad application. I like the videos on the website, but would like to select it wherever I take my iPad to workout. Could we purchase the DVD videos as an application?

Would love to see refrigerator magnets and Christmas ornaments - what a great visual reminder of our goals as we approach this "eating season"?

Would also like to see the workout pants in a larger variety of sizes.

I would love to see a SparkPeople fleece pullover with 1/4 zipper and without a hood. It would come in handy for long walks in the fall/winter/spring weather, as well as being a great piece of clothing to layer to wear to games, and hang out in casual places. I couldn't think of a better way to spread the spark during the cooler months of the year.

I would LOVE this t-shirt:
FRONT: SP logo
BACK: "Catch my Spark!" (lg letters)
". . .if you can" (smaller letters)
(totally optional, but sassy shirts could be fun)
with website url below for spreading the word at runs.

Also,
something REFLECTIVE would be great. It wouldn't even have to be a t-shirt, maybe some of those battery powered blinking lights or reflective belts for walking/jogging at night.

The CHARMS people mentioned are a nice idea, and it'd be cool to have ones for distances too--5k, 10k, etc. . .if they're just the numbers on a spark symbol, they can be used for walks, runs, bikes, etc. I just like the idea of charms for more than weight. Also, all of the runner charms I've seen are insanely expensive ($80-$200 for a single charm). A less expensive set of individual charms that we can collect to motivate would be great!

T-shirts that have the spark logo, small on the left breast, and any series of quotes, graphics BIG on the back.

Some items that I am actually looking to buy right now are wicking socks for running and walking, new sports bras, and some padded bicycle shorts, I also have some questions about some of the products. Are the DVDs for beginners or more for intermediate/advanced exercisers? Also, has anyone bought the pedometer and if so, are you happy with it? Thanks.l

I got to thinking the other day as I was reaching past the whole wheat bread toward my daughter's 'saved' brownie: "I need a little 'spark' bracelet on my right hand to remind me to be good and stick to my goals!"
nothing fancy.. maybe just a simple string bracelet with a little SPARK emblem on it? A constant visual reminder!

I have a bunch (abt 6 or 7) tshirts, all mens or unisex. I bought the one with the flame on it in a a size bigger (2x) cause it's fitted..... I ordered all my stuff 2 days ago, & got it all today.. except for the free bag, anyway. The flame shirt is adorable, & inspirational, but it's going to have to be a shirt for me to wear later in my journey, as it's too snug now. Love the idea of a hoodie! :-)

Guys:
I just went and visited the store- there are already magnets being sold that have portion sizes on them.
I see keychains, window clings, and the mugs are back.

Oh, I love the idea of SparkPeople charms, and ways to show goals met. NICE

WOW, lots of truly great ideas on this thread, I hope someone is reading & taking notes.

Ideas I like so far:
1-The magnets with portion sizes info.-what a great way to stay focused & educated
2-sun visor- I don't like hats but this I would wear especially if I could get away with it serving ice cream in a shop :)
3-the downloadable playlists of MP3s to helps us switch up your motivation- say something with different beat per minute lists to help us keep pace on walks, jogs, or runs?
4-the Foam Roller, yes please offer this and maybe a dvd workout to accompany it or separately (Coach Nicole is AWESOME and easy to follow)
5-The business card downloads we can print to hand out is a nice way to do our part to spread the spark!

Here are my 2 cents ideas:
1- Wicking tees with not just the SparkPeople logo on the front or side area, but an inspirational quote on the back!
2- Tees offered in bright colors for summer with more fun motivational quotes and for the fall/winter months darker/warmer colors.
3- I am a big fan of a sweat shirt and would love a SparkPeople one to wear during casual fall/winter outings
4- A glow in the dark or safety tape/banded tee or vest with the SP logo for us early morning, late night, and gloomy weather fitness people.
5- I would like very much to see Coach Nicole make another dvd that focuses on just stretching workouts. This would be a great way for us to follow up our cardio sessions and mix up our stretching routines. There are a lot of us out here probably doing the same stretching routine where other muscles could benefit from a variation.

These are the products I have so far, though I plan on trying to add on this week with an order (a long overdue reward):
SP Cardio Blast dvd- awesome workouts for quick 10 minutes each day. Plus it allows you to pick a combo workout to mix it up. Coach Nicole starts you with a warm up and cool down plus stretches to help prevent any soreness. She's very easy to follow and not over the top perky, which is refreshing. Plus you get to see her sweat unlike in other fitness dvds. Her smiles truly come across as sincere and she keeps you motivated to just stay with it. YOU DO SWEAT doing these.

SP Fit,Firm, & Fired Up! dvd which has 7 different days of strength workouts just 10 minutes each plus a bonus 15 minute cardio workout which gets that heart rate UP! I just started this dvd to double up on my strength training efforts and it only requires some dumbbells, chair, and yoga mat if you are on hard surfaces. I do mine in the carpeted family room so its no biggie for me. You do stretches at the end so it helps. Plus I just saw where I can do a combo workout which I will be attempting next week. This dvd is a great way to vary your strength workouts with minimal equipment.

I have definitely noticed a difference in my fitness levels and the parts are toning up folks! Both of these are great additions to a fitness dvd program.

I bought the SparkPeople Lunch cooler - it is WAY too small for what I carry to work (including 2 quart-size water bottles - It looked way bigger on screen -

I like the measured containers which I bought with it, though.

I love purple, plum, and burgandy. I have been looking for a stainless steel 24 oz. to 36 oz. water bottle in purple for some time now. I would definitely purchase one with a screw top and a strap or carbinger attachment for attaching to purse, backpack, bike, etc....something similar to the one you have on your site already.

I love the ideas that everyone has posted! Here are my faves (and things I would really love to buy!).

1. MP3 player (preferably with a memory card slot so we can have different music for different workouts).

2. Cute stuffed animals with The Spark!

3. Spark tennis shoes (I need high arches).

4. And an inexpensive kit filled with Spark logo stuff that we can pass out. You already have a rally kit, but if you had a kit with a ton of pens, mini note-pads, bumper stickers, window clings, etc. I would love to pass things out with the logo and website on it.

Here's another idea for apparel. Tee shirts very infrequently look good on women, especially older women who are not very fit. One exception I have found is a Tee shirt with a vee neck. It changes the whole look. If you make a Tee shirt (with good quality) that is a vee neck, I will certainly buy some!

great ideas below-like backpack (would be great to take to gym or vacation for workout supplies)

I looked there first and then bought the Biggest Loser food scale, but would have bought Spark if they had one

I have just seen the 'page a day' calendars in the store. What would be great is to have that available as an iphone/ipod touch application. There are other daily motivational applications available on iTunes, and I would buy a Sparkpeople one. That would also save on posting a paper calendar to Australia!

A spark necklace would be nice or a charm bracelet with different charms for achieving different spark points.

I would live to send a spark necklace to a friend along with directions to the web site.

I would totally love to purchase a "Fitness In Progress" T-shirt, but the two colors offered (Tangerine and Bright Pink) are two colors that I really, really cannot wear. The tangerine will make me look like a nice round juicy orange, and I'll end up matching the Bright Pink if I wear it while working out. I bet many people who would be inclined to wear a "Fitness In Progress" shirt would feel the same way!

Could a more muted color be offered for that shirt? I like the pale greens and lavenders myself.

Thanks for listening!

I'd like a regular, run-of-the-mill sweatshirt rather than jacket or hoodie or long-sleved tee, etc. I'd buy a couple of those, especially now that it's coming up on winter. I live in jeans and sweatshirts in the winter.

I didn't have time to go through all the posts to see if these were mentioned (if they were then this will just add the need/want)

1. what about baby clothes? I know some people are here to lose weight in hopes of having a baby. If they succeed it would be cute to have baby clothes that say something like "I was created with Spark!" or something...lol

2. sneakers/socks

3. pens/pencils

4. buttons

5. notebooks

6. coasters

7. Book ends

8. clipboards

9. calorie counter/heart rate monitor!!!!!

10. wall posters

11. picture frames (like one side holds your "before" and then one for your "after"

12. Stuff animals with spark people t-shirts

13. maybe a spark people game of some sort

Guess I'll stop here ..... the ideas are ENDLESS

I may have suggested this before, I don't remember, & my kids say I have those 'senior moments' occasionally-LOL! But I'd like to have a SP auto tag for the front of my car. I now have an Ebay one (I sell there), that says CUONEBAY-(that's C U On Ebay), but is getting rather old, and so is my car, what it really needs is a bright shiny emoticon on it!!!

I would like to know if the Spark People Store sells a tee shirt with the Spark People information on the BACK! When I walk at the rec center in my town I read the messages that people have on their backs and often they lead to a conversation as I am curious what their message is about. I read people's backs and hardly every their fronts! Let me know if/when such a product becomes available!

My computer won't let me watch video clips --- it keeps starting and stopping--- is it possible to purchase some of Coach Nicole's online workouts? Maybe we can make a custom order workout DVD or download individual workouts for a small fee.

How about a insulated see through water mug that had measurements on the side to help you track your water for the day. It could be 32 oz or 64 oz (if you could find one that wasn't so ginormous) I like the mugs that have the option of the straw or a regular opening for drinking (little lids snap to close the opening to make it "spill proof") similar to this... www.bigpromotions.net/item_informati

It would be doubly great if it has a smaller base to fit into your car cup holders.

I think it would be cool if you could redeem your spark points for merchandise...like a credit card rewards or something. Certain items for certain amounts of points. That would inspire sparkers to log on more and participate more and workout more. I know I would lol.

I'd like to see the logo on the workout shirts moved. I have three of them, and the logo always ends up on the side of my chest, half in my armpit. I made an effort to move it over in my profile photo so you can actually read it, but I think on most women that wear more than a B cup, it isn't readable.

Since, its starting to get cold outside and some of us workout outside. I think that a headband that covers your ears with the Sparkpeople logo on the front of the headband. You could have the head band come in different colors or just black. Some people wear a hat in the winter too, put the logo on the front of the hat. I also think a scarf with the logo at the ends of the scarf or have the whole scarf say sparkpeople in big letters across the scarf. So many fun ideas!
