FIRST I JUST ORDERED A PEDOMETER FROM AN ONLINE STORE, IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THE ONES IN THE SPARK STORE. ALSO CAN YOU TELL ME IF YOU REALLY GET THE PRODUCT WITH YOUR POINTS AND HOW DO YOU DO IT. I'M SO CONFUSED. THANK YOU LYNDA

I bought one at Sports Authority for $20. It tracks steps, miles & calories burned, and tells the time. I've found it to be accurate.
I take it off when I go to the bathroom - 2 years ago, the one I was wearing fell into the toilet and that was the end of that one!
I'm keeping track of my steps & miles daily, trying to increase both every day (note: I said trying!)

I love my pedometor. I put it on first thing in the morning and take it off right before bed. It tracts steps, and distance. I can't leave home without it!

I had the same problem with the pedometer from the Sparkstore. I couldn't set it down without getting 20 steps. Needless to say, I haven't used it and won't. I'm glad to see the good recommendations in this thread. I will go and buy a good one today!

Thanks for sharing, Sarah

So, here's my SP pedometer story, a two-parter.

Part 1: I purchased the fitness kit...with the balance ball, pedometer, and dvd. First, I found that the directions missed a step in guiding set up--thank goodness for my husband's math whiz mind! Well, on the second day of using it, it fell off of my waistband when I bent over to pick something off of the floor. The peodometer went dead. So, I called SHUMSKY, the company that ships out SP stuff...the representative was extrememly nice...but after two weeks, I wondered where my new peodmeter was, so I called back. My order had never been placed!!! Grrrrr!!! Wonderful, right?

Part 2: Well, I finally did get my new pedometer. So, I'd been using it on a regular basis, and just as others have mentioned, it counts 'steps' even when you slide it on to your waistband. Yeah, 5 steps using the potty!!! But the funniest is when I took my class on a field trip. A bouncy school bus to a theater...15 minute ride there and back..a whopping 7,000 steps!!!!! It might have FELT like a workout, but 7,000 steps? Gimme a break!!!

After that experience, I tossed it on the table when I got home and have not moved it since.

Just a few words about the balance ball. Well, that was fine..until my daughter showed me how they use them in her PE class at school. She rolled on the floor and "Pssssfffffff...." got a HOLE in it...Now, I had just vaccumed the floor so I have NO idea how that hole got in the ball..but yeah.

That's my story!

With God, all things are possible!

I got a sportline wrist pedometer, heart rate, watch that is accurate for distance as it is the same distance that map feature on fitness tracker allows. What I like is that it more accurately gets my heart rate as I tend to go to thready hard to read if I am heading into an asthma attack. It's then easier to read and change my workout before having one.

The other thing I like is that it is easy to use and read!

I got a SPORTLINE Pedometer and heart rate watch. Pedometer is accurate and so is the heart rate when I've checked manually, but haven't bothered lately, will check both today. It's just so easy to use, I find it hard to check my pulse manually when I exercise.

I bought the pedometer from the Spark Store - I think it's junk - same problem - tons of steps when I haven't moved - I've tried resetting it - same problem - I don't use it - wasted money.

I also have an Omron, the HJ-7201T. This is the one that can download it's saved data onto your computer.

-It can display the 7 previous days of data, and save up to 41 days of downloadable data.
-It resets automatically each day at midnight.
-It can count from anywhere on your body, even in your pocket. It comes with an attachable safety strap; also a waistband holster.

You can get it from Amazon.com and comes with free 'super' shipping for around $30.

another sparker had the same problem with the pedometer that comes with the starter kit.

i also have an Omron HJ-112 and love it for it's accuracy, 7 day memory, aerobic and total steps, calories burned and miles walked. i recommend it.

i bought mine from amazon several years back for $20 -24 w/shipping. i believe you can order it on walmart.com and have it shipped free to the nearest walmart by you. all the best!

I have the one from the store, I got it with my starter kit. I take it from the shelf and put it on my waistband and it says I've walked 7 steps all while standing still.

I need a new pedometer. I lost mine at a store last year and haven't purchased another one. I would like to know if anyone has the one from the store and it so, how do you like it? I've had some I like and others, not.
