I didn't even notice the labor/ memorial day mix up.. I ran with the concept and posted in all over my blog. Huh...

I have slipped, tastes of this and that. It's easier when those who surround me are paleo too!. tonight I made paleo paella- with cauliflower instead of rice, for my faith group. first time with cauliflower as rice... not sure I am a fan. .

Well on the bright side, if I kept this up until Labor day I should be in good shape.

Yesterday I kept to the allowed foods pretty well - just had a sip of hubby's dinner wine and a tiny spoonful of Seed of Change quinoa and brown rice. The downfall yesterday was definately lack of planning. I didn't have dinner planned and my husband offered to take on the task. If i had cooked no off-program foods would have been on the table. On the plus side I did get in a full 8 glasses of water and 30 minutes on the treadmill plus a few strength moves.

Chicken is thawing for tonight and that will be dinner along with a nice green salad and roasted sweet potatoes. This weekend I will put together a plan for all of next week and shop to have the correct ingredients plus healthy snacks.

Too Funny - Thanks yes I did. I didn't even notice that I mentally wiped out the summer. Can't have that after the winter we've had. Unfortunately I don't see a way to change the title of a topic. Anyone know how??

Not to be picky, but I think you mean Memorial Day? Labor Day, at least in the US, is in September.

Great. A healthier you makes for a happier summer. I have really slipped lately not huge slips - a glass of wine with dinner a couple of nights a week, a cheese stick or laughing cow now and again, skip a workout here and there, maybe a taste of bread - thanks a lot Costco for featuring loaves of roasted garlic bread.

By themselves, not horrible but they haven't been isolated incidents and since I'm no longer a spring chick (hit 50 this year) the only way that I can loose any weight or inches is with a LOT of dedication. Weight and inches I want to loose. Health and Energy I want to gain. I need a mantra for when I feel tempted - will have to work on this later in the week.

Today's focus is drinking more water, eating 3 Paleo meals, and getting back to exercise basics.

I CAN, I WILL.

Thanks for the good tip. I've been paleo since Feb, but have definatly slipped. I can focus on the next 30 days, with a better tighter paleo, and dedicated walking, strength training and yoga. Thanks for the prompt.

Just realized that there are 30 days to labor day. Thirty days to the start of shorts, picnics....SUMMER. I definately would be happier starting the summer with a few less pounds. I'm debating a whole 30 or a whole 30 done 17 day diet style (a few less carbs and probiotics with an emphasis on getting 8 glasses of water in and at least 17 minutes of exercise). Not sure which way i'll go but I definately started today. Found a fantastic breakfast recipe that I will be eating happily all week long - Check out the sweet and savory quiche (D) kateupdates.com/2012/09/20/5-quick-e
