Lucky....my problems are mainly with the arthritis! I do also get the intestinal issues, but usually not for several days. I was really surprised this hit me as hard as it did....and also how fast it cleared up!

Cindy, isn't it amazing what are bodies actually go thru when we cheat? i swear i will never eat pizza again! haha one night i had two slices and within 20 minutes i was doubled over in pain. it just makes me realize what that "stuff" does to our bodies and we don't feel it until we get rid of the bad stuff.

glad to hear you are back on track and feeling good again!

I did the Paleo challenge on Mark's Daily Apple starting August 1st. This past weekend, at my daughter's wedding, I had several cheats, including 2 servings of wedding cake. By the time I went home the last day (festivities started Thursday, wedding was Saturday), I was so sore I couldn't believe it! Both ankles, both hips, my left knee, both hands and my back were worse than they have been in months!!

I have a form of Rheumatoid as well as degenerative (osteo) arthritis and have been low carbing faithfully since the beginning of April and paleo since August. I've been down to just taking Aleve once or twice a day at most. Sunday AM I had just eggs and bacon followed by pork and applesauce (not paleo, but just had a little) later in the day. By Monday I felt much better! By this AM, I'm almost back to normal.

Hello everyone! I don't post here all that much, but I would like to start getting in the habit.

I started my true journey on June 4th. At two months, eating the Paleo way, I lost 25lbs. Of course, me being me, I decided that a few cheats here and there wouldn't hurt. Other then me getting sick, I still didn't see any stalls. Um, why did I let my self repeatedly get sick? haha, I have food issues! duh! So, for the month of August, I was doing what I "normally" did with food. And, drum roll..... I gain 3 lbs. So, I am back on track. I am doing CrossFit along with yoga 3 days a week. I would like to up my days working out. This past weekend, I got serious about the food again. I am also throwing The Zone in along with Paleo. I have lost 3lbs. Soooo, it's working. It's slow, and that's okay. I am learning how to eat well and that's what it's all about.
