Somebody -- might have been Hadia of Canada? -- called the upright posture the "Egyptian Underwire" because it lifts you and makes you look like you've gained a cup size (or that your existing cup size is firmer!)
That cracks me up when I think about. When I slouch I'm an A. Upright posture makes me a B. And without surgery! LOL
Ruthie: I did not get keeping my shoulders on my back and activating the muscles under my arms to keep my chest lifted until I did yoga for a while. The whole innerbody bright and pulling your arms in to the sockets really clicked in yoga and I had sort of relearn snake arms the RIGHT way. LOL
Reached my goal November 2009!

As a beginner I find posture so difficult. It should be the easiest thing but in trying to remember how to do each move, I forget to stand up straight...it's the same problem I have with my arms...I get to concentrating on what my feet/legs/hips are doing and my arms start to droop and look silly. In short, this is a GREAT challenge for me ;) My instructor would be most pleased if I didn't have to be reminded every 5 minutes to stand up straight!
