I was able to get aerobics in today - 60 minutes on the stationary bike, and 60 minutes in the pool for 50 laps. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

300 bellyrolls this a.m. Still need to do bicycle crunches. My abs hurt! Worst Thanksgiving treat of the day?? 4 tablespoons chocolate pudding. Pretty well behaved today. Little bit of ham. 2 tablespoons of mac and cheese. 2 tablespoons mashed potatoes, 1 tablespoon of corn. emoticon The Holidays will NOT ruin my diet!!! Shopping tomorrow! YAY!!!!

Exercise this evening. 50 lay down side leg kick thingys, 90 bicycle crunches (PAIN) Who said we should do those this week emoticon Oh, yeah! SORRY! 30 karate kicks. 250 bellyrolls total. Some workout on the Stability ball emoticon (yep, decided to bring it home, I dont get to sit much at work emoticon ) that has me wiped out. Did more, brain fried. Think I have given it my all these past few days. Also, did stairwalking at work.

Swam 60 laps at the pool today, and managed 60 minutes on the stationary bike. I'm gonna give this muscle until Tuesday of next week and then see if it's ok.

Absolutely gorgeous!

Those bicycle crunches are hard emoticon I do a set of 30, do something else, then do another set. Only way I can get through them. I am soo energetic right now. Exercising in the morning, that is not the Jane I know emoticon Walked stairs at work, gonna go do it again!

Thanks about my stomach, but believe me, I've got enough stretch marks in the back to make up for none there! Eeeak!

Ok, so did shimmies and bicycle crunches this morning. And not enough of either! But boy did those crunches hurt! I'll have to do those before dinner tomorrow as a reminder of why I'm not going to load up my plate.

Hey gals! My pulled quad is keeping me away from strengthening exercises and jogging this week. But I was able to swim yesterday (65 minutes for 50 laps) and I managed 45 minutes on the stationary bike. Today, I managed to get back to the gym for 40 laps swimming and 60 minutes on the stationary bike. So maybe I can hold on to my aerobic conditioning and get back to strength exercises when the muscle heals.

Meanwhile, even though I can't really dance yet, I wanted to share a video of my daughter's troupe. They performed this dance for Halloween and I just love it! Belly dancing vampires! Too cool. My daughter is "Naia", and I'm so proud of her!

Ya, know I did not set a # or time. I figured people would be busy and should challenge theirselves to get some exercise in.

What I did tonight. Catching my breath.120 bicycle crunches, 100 side leg lifts (each side). 75 push-ups need to do 2 more sets of 15. 60, 12 pound dumb bell lifts each arm emoticon 200 bellyrolls (phew!) 50 side crunches, each side. More to do, hope you all are exercising every chance you can emoticon

We can do this! Even during the Holidays and stress. Lets give it our all :)

ROCHELLEFL, you are right. Can be tough to get in exercise. Just have to make it part of our busy lives. I have been ecercising in the bathroom, parking lot, in the car etc, etc....

Okay, So I made it down the stairs at work 3 times. One time while racing a co-worker, she was taking the elevator. I WON! Will do it 5 times tomorrow!

Lana, you have a great time, of you always do!

K...watching an intense DR. Phil, it is really good. A Husband confessed to his wife that he is a rapist/ serial killer, it is a 3 part show. Not sure I believe him.

Next, exercising to the entire Biggest loser. Oh, those Bicycle crunches make me sore! Have a bunch of push ups to do. Only 2 glasses of water today. So I am supposed to be doing 15 push-ups for every glass under 9 that I dont get emoticon Off to drink some water.

Yep, this is a hard week. My daughters 18th Birthday was yesterday on top of everything else. I usually start my day off with Gilad on Fit-TV. Dance is usually on Wed & called off this week because of Thanksgiving, so I have to challenge myself to do MORE and practice where I can. I love reading all your suggestions and what you do. It gives me inspiration to do more.

Ya....we do need to start a support group for you...poor thing, over taken by emotions..

Well yesterday I had 3...can I say 3 different dance pactices...lol...so did get lots of shimmys in...but no on the crunches or lunges....I will keep up with this over the week....all get my neices to do the cruches with me...they love that sort of thing...lol..can't wait to see some family!!

Thanks! Love that dress! Have been watching the price tag for weeks. Finally got 75% off! YAY!!!

Oh, your tummy shot is not bad emoticon Oh, please dont dare me to post mine emoticon Stretch marks! ARGH emoticon Reminders are very necessary! I have ignored scales and mirrors before and then all of a sudden a photograph appears emoticon Oops!What do you think of those bicycle crunches? OUCHIE! Okay, I am rambling.

What I did tonight...4 sets of 30 bicycle crunches, (checking my notebook), 50 leg lifts each side, 50 side crunches each side, 45 sit-ups, I have to do 15 for each glass of water under 9 that I dont get emoticon (Whose bright idea was that??) An unknowm amount of side planks with hand weights. Feels like I did more, did not write down everything, fatigue leaves me with a blank emoticon memory.

Turkey day is coming soon emoticon Lets use that as motivation!

Hey everyone! emoticon

Boy, do I need an exercise challenge for this week to keep me in line. I flaked on last week's challenge (sorry!), but will definitely get these in! Perfect time for them will be right before I even think about sitting down at the Thanksgiving dinner table!

Today, I did Tae Bo in the morning, but had to cut the workout short to get out of here on time. Boo! And, as a reminder to self of what I'm working for, I've posted a (cringe) picture of my stomach as it is right now in my photo gallery. No mercy... it's a side shot even....LOL. That was a great idea, Jane... thanks of suggesting it! And the dress you're going to be wearing is gorgeous!

Sounds good.....I will fit these in...as I did not do much of the challenge last week....ugh...I will be goin out of town tommorow and wont return until next week...so I will be off the grid so to speak..lol. Going home to Santa Cruz....me so happy!!

It is 6 a.m. and I have done 90 arm extensions with 12 pound weights. Just died my hair light auburn emoticon Not dry yet so I dont know how it will turn out. Okay, off to exercise more. Or should I go back to bed emoticon emoticon Not if I wanna look like that guy I wont!!!

This is Thanksgiving week. Hard time for everyone to keep a routine going. We will probably all have some bad things on that day,best advice is moderation and try to get right back to the program the next day. Take some healthy treats with you if you go shopping the next day. Strap the water bottle to your hip, maybe add some vitamin enhancers to help keep up the energy.

Okay, the challenge. Not gonna add a difficult belly dance move as I dont know how much time we will all have to learn them. So the exercises are simple but affective.

1st exercise Bicycle crunches. I am sure we can all find some time to fit some of these in. Oh, I can hear some of you cursing at me when you try these.

Instructions-Place hands behind head. Elevate legs. Twist torso and move elbow toward opposite knee.




Step 2

Repeat in alternating fashion.

I found this and the next exercise at workoutz.com,it is a great website.

2. Side lunges.I chose this one because they can be done at work, at home,in the parking lot.

Instructions-Step 1

Stand with feet together.




Step 2

Take a giant step to the side.




Step 3

Return to the starting position. Repeat the movement on both legs.

3. Shimmy- we can all do this just about anywhere.

I know we will all have a busy week, but with effort we can fit exercise in.

Lets keep reminders, something that motivates us around to help keep us focused. I have posted a picture of the dress that I am wearing on New years Eve. It is strapless and fits just right. Want better toned arms when I wear it, flattened tummy, too. So, it is in my photo gallery as a reminder emoticon
