Cheese is defiantly a trigger food for me too. It is actually one of my biggest reasons for going vegan. I recently read that "nutritional yeast" gives a similar creamy consistency when added to food. Haven't tried it yet though!

I've gone an entire week without cheese and I've lost a pound. But, I'm not going to say that it has been easy because cheese is every where and it's also usually involved with not really healthy fast food items. I keep reminding myself of the 80/20 rule. Weight loss is 80% food choices and 20% exercise, so I've been really working on the healthy eating.

Here comes week 2!

Inch by inch, day by day I'm going to make these pounds go away!

Have you tried frozen banannas? If you slice them, freeze the slices, then let them thaw a litttle bit and blend the bananna chucks with vanillia almond milk it tastes almost like ice cream. If you like chuncks in your ice cream you can add chopped walnuts. I've also added cinnamon, which is really yummy.

I love Greek Yogurt and it does fulfill the 'craving' for cheese to some degree but even more important for me, the craving for ICE CREAM!! I applaud you for your decision and wish you the best of luck with your challenge. When reality says something is causing us a problem, then it's time for it to go and you're very smart to recognize your limitations and stumbling blocks. Most people are not willing to do that!!

My challenge for January is to be cheese free. I don't mean those cheesy movies from the 1980's or silly love songs, those are all good.

Cheese is a trigger food for me. I don't want to get into too much detail because I don't want trigger a craving in anyone else.

I know that food shouldn't be classified as good or bad because everything is fine in moderation. However, I can't handle cheese like an adult, so I need to eliminate it.

I feel like I need to stand up and say, "My name is Sea Dame and I'm a turophile*. It's been three days since I had cheese." (By the way, turophile isn't dirty, it's someone who likes cheese.)

If I remove cheese from my life then several of it's known accomplices like pizza and soda will also go away. I have invited Greek yogurt in to fill the gap, so I'll still get the calcium I need.
