Honey is sugar just like the white powdered stuff and they are both just about equally 'natural' - sugar comes from the sugar cane plant and is refined - the honey we buy is made by bees and is also refined [filtered, sometimes coloring added, sometimes sugar added, too] - both react the same way in our system for the most part and the same is true of agave juice, molassas and other sugars.
I find that when it comes to eliminating sugar, the first few days are the hardest and then it's relatively easy but I have to have 100% abstinence or I get cravings again. Good luck!!
