Lol, hope everyone is safe with all this bad weather around. My family and I leave today to go to see Timmy (oldest son) in SC from there after graduation from basic we will take him to VA for Friday! We leave in just a few hours and we are all so excited, it's been 2 months but it feels like forever! My goals/plans??? Exercising in a moving vehicle for 8 hours hmmmm...Wish me luck!!!

I went to the gym both yesterday and today. Even did some extra both days. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day cause of packing to go to see my oldest boy in SC (he is in basic). We get to take him to Virginia for his job training too! I am so excited it feels like he has been gone forever! Yes I do have trouble letting go of my kids!

I got a FitBit and just started using it today and I love it! It tracks everything just sitting in my pocket and helps keep me honest in my evaluation of what I've accomplished. We'll see how it goes with me plugging it in each evening to track on-line, but so far I am quite enthused with it.

Hi Team! Jambaby, you sound like you're doing great! I don't understand how it is that you have the time to work out so many hours every day, but more power to you!

I had a great workout this morning doing some strength training and cardio. Yesterday was a wonderful yoga class so I'm going to do that again tomorrow along with cardio too.

This week and the next few weeks are pretty busy for me with work and moving, but I'll try to post now and then.

I'll just post my goal for tomorrow because it will be an accomplishment to stay on track with my workouts during this busy time:

Wednesday:
30 minutes of cardio
Yoga class

Hi friends! Thanks for the support. I'll be here again later today to check in on anyone who needs that extra push, so post on here if you want me to hold you accountable!

Pretty good day yesterday but I still didn't get enough done at home. I went grocery shopping which I was planning to do today, so I'm moving what I didn't do yesterday to today. Just got back from the gym so that's done! :) I'm sore from yesterday's workout!

Hi friends! I'm checking in for the day!

I feel the need to explain so you don't think I just randomly disappear... I sometimes work all day in the city and can't go to the gym or do much else on those days. My schedule varies greatly.

I went to the gym this morning and I feel fantastic! I have a feeling my legs will be sore tomorrow.

I'm moving soon so you'll be seeing a lot of moving related to do's over the next few weeks. BTW I have sold lots of things on craigslist- it is a great site for selling or buying furniture, rugs, household goods, etc. I also donated 10 boxes of clothes & stuff last week and that felt amazing- clearing your home of things you don't need creates mental clarity too! My "wedding pictures" to do is an ongoing project that needs to be done by Christmas. My Physical Therapy to do is because of an old ankle injury that has been acting up. 10 sprains total so my ankle is kind of a mess, but PT helps and I'm back to using the treadmill thanks to lots of PT recently.

Here are my to do's for today and I'm going to post for tomorrow too...

Thursday:
Gym- DONE! :)
Laundry
Wedding pictures
Physical Therapy
Pack at least 3 boxes
Repost items for sale items on craigslist
Clean litterbox
Go through papers in bedroom (2-3 day project)

am I reading this right?!! 8 hours of working out?! That is amazing!
I did not get out to walk dog like I had wanted but spent time with daughter and will get to bed a little early. I feel like rest is better than working out right now to get over this cold quick. Good news I will be able to sleep in a little tomorrow morning, daughter has late start.

I plan to get out and walk tomorrow, mail a package to my grandmother and cousin, and log in to SparkPeople!

As for my Tuesday = Tuesday's and Thursdays are my long days = 5 hours at the vitality center working out, then 3 hours at the 24 hour fitness gym. Still get time in with the kids, hubby and spark! Good luck on your Tuesday accomplishments!

Hello JAMBABY!

Luckily it was still pretty warm out and dry so we got our walk in!
You are right, we do need to take care of ourselves.

Tomorrow I plan to sleep in (hard one huh people may laugh but sometimes it is), plan what my daughter is making for dinner and straighten up the home, go to work, walk the dog and log in!

I got my bike done, hope Portchester that laundry done, and Peanutsmom I get the need to exercise because I exercise everyday however if you are coming down with something I do not recommend your 5 miles in the rain, we must take care of our selves!

Hope you got the laundry done and went biking.

Tonight I am taking off - feeling like I am catching something (yucky throught). I want to be in bed by 9:30 (picking up daughter at 9 from work).

Tomorrow after work I need to walk the dog 5 miles (rain or shine).

I have to say I am usually really bad about logging into anything.

I got the vacuuming done! Sadly I did not get to the laundry, but I'll do it tomorrow for sure. I usually take weekends off from the gym so I wont go tomorrow. I usually take the weekends off from Sparkpeople in general but since there is no one else on this thread yet I thought I would post and support you. :) Make sure you bike tomorrow and I promise to do laundry. I'll check in tomorrow to make sure we did both!

PORTCHESTER, my name is Judy did you have enough time to get your laundry and vacuuming done? I hope so, I did get my 40 minutes on the elliptical done...barely!

Tomorrow I need to do a bike even if my calorie burn is over (I see my calories are burned I think...The heck with the bike, then on Tuesday when I go to the vitality center and do a 30 minutes bike on level 2 I feel like I'm dieing!)

Yay! So glad you responded, Jambaby! I will hold you accountable to those 40 minutes on the elliptical!

My must do's for Saturday:
30 minutes of cardio
2 loads of laundry
vaccuum

I know it seems weird to hold each other accountable for non fitness stuff on Sparkpeople but I want to encourage others to post other daily goals here because I view this whole thing as a life changing self improvement quest. I notice that when I start exercising more that I'm really tired sometimes and let other to do's slack, so I'm going to make sure I post the stuff I usually procrastinate doing on here so I get more done all around. Also, I usually take weekends off from the gym and from Sparkpeople but I'll check in tomorrow to hold you accountable and to hopefully get others to join us on this thread. :)

I joined Sparkpeople, and this team in particular, because I used to have an accountability partner and it was super helpful to me, not just for diet and fitness, but for other life goals. We would email each other twice a week and set monthly, weekly and daily goals. Sometimes we would email daily for certain challenging days. One time I had a crazy year of getting my masters degree, planning my wedding, and losing weight for the wedding, all in one year, and he helped me to get through it all. Sadly we are no longer in touch with each other so I'm looking for a friend or group of friends online who want to do something similar, and we could do it on a forum here instead of via email. I'm the kind of person who loves to motivate and help others but when it comes to myself I need support and accountability to get things done.

My idea is to post our goals here daily. If you want to skip a day or take weekends off or whatever that's fine, but any day that you are involved in this thread and post a goal, you have to follow up and you have to help others who post on that day too.

Sound good?
