NOTE: It's best to leave any responsive comments on our Flicker SparkPeople SoulCollage Group page, under each SoulCollager's linked card. They are much appreciated!
I'm starting my team thread, and will share ongoing readings and both new and veteran SoulCollage cards.
Many of my readings have to do with relationships. This past week, in the midst of evolving midlife transitions, I felt tears under the surface. My SoulCollage deck has been a saving grace, bringing me back to inner wisdom that gets clouded by the stresses of daily life.
So, I intuitively chose a card by feel, holding the sentiment, "Who is the one within who wants to cry?" The card that I picked is linked above.
NAME: Home is where the heart is (#148)
DESCRIPTION: A family is gardening together. The child in the SoulCollage is probably Bradyn's (my grandson) age. (At the time I created the card, it represented my own daughter at that age, and our life at that time...all of which I would soon lose.)
CORE ENERGY: Family. Ideals. "Live beyond self-image."
WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME?
I Am One Who lives by ideals. I am one who cherishes family. I see the innocence of a child in everyone, and want to protect it. I love to grow things. I am a nurturer and nourisher. I sit back and revel in another's joy. I am a generous, heartfelt being. I value all life. I am mindful that the relationships I have will one day end.
WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?
I am pure acceptance and appreciation and am sustained by your losses and griefs. We are of the same energy. Face the light within, not the darkness.
HOW WILL I REMEMBER?
Tears seeking release are your regrets frozen in time. Come back to the present and renew your commitment to loving those before you. They are sustained by you.
SHADOW: Caretaking at your expense, against your soul, beyond current capacity. Being depleted and led (astray) by survivor's guilt.
RESPONSE: As usual, my SoulCollage cards are a balm to my soul, like a mother's hand caressing my head (even when I merely intuit a card's meaning and do not have the time or energy to write). Some are more relieving than others. This one definitely helped, opened a sigh within, and facilitated easier sleep. I have the sense, though, because this particular card represents a defining time in my life (and had previously not yet been "read"), that more journaling awaits.
