(life) -be more thankful, smile more! -spend more time w/ friends, be better about keeping in touch w/ people that don't live in NYC -keep in touch w/ family better -schedule in time to do things I enjoy (running, traveling, reading books other than casebooks,etc.)
(law school) -don't procrastinate as much -go to prof's office hours more -remember why I came to law school; don't take things too seriously
(fitness) -run 18-25 miles a week -run at least one race every season (I have a 10K in Oct!) -track food as much as possible, allow for treats now and then -get to my goal weight by the end of the year
Overall, I'm trying to have more balance this year. I think I did a pretty good job 1L of staying calm in the chaos but since I have more going on this year, even more focus on staying stress-free is necessary.
Hi group! Please tell us about your goals this semester? Are they long-term, short-term, taking it one day at a time, total lifestyle revamping, or something else? Are they fitness oriented or school oriented or a combo of both?
I am getting up early every morning (except Sundays), and helping a friend train for a 5K. I have done them before, but she hasn't ran since jr. high. We have 7 more weeks of training, and I hope to continue with that, and then keep running every morning after we finish. We also do strength training two days a week, and I hope to keep up with that.
On the diet end, I have been pretty good with watching what I eat. While I don't always "track" my calories on sparkpeople, I am mindful of what I eat and am making better choices. I plan most of my meals, but have had the occasional dinner out with friends.
My semester is extremely busy, but keeping my diet and exercise in line is a top priority, and I hope to keep up with it all!
