Hi Ladies,
I fell too-fell far :( Did the 30Day Shred today just to do something. Don't know if you guys are doing a Jan challenge, but I am hoping to get back into the swing of things now that my work schedule has slowed down some. Are you with me Karen? You got me here, join me-join us!

I'm here, just been lurking since I fell off the wagon a while ago. I gained, too. Not sure how much, but too much. I didn't want to take anyone off the wagon with me, so I figured I'd keep quiet. Congrats to those who were able to stick it out all of December! Congrats on inches & pounds lost!

Kim, Ali started a January thread but in a different section/forum. I also was thinking of going back to 30DS starting tomorrow. It worked well for me before and I think it may be just the thing to get me going again.

Happy New Years!

December has SUCKED!
Will there be a new January thread?
I don't know what I'll do. I have a pal starting 30DS tomorrow, so maybe I'll join in that fun. Unless you all have something more fun going :)

I did 30 DS level 1 this morning. I had an early start!

I lost 7.5 lbs this month & 3.75 inches! (starting weight was168, I weighed in at 160.5 this morning!) I'm very happy with my results! (I had a post written out with the breakdown of where I lost but when putting in an emoticon, it disappeared & i didn't feel like typing it all out again on my iPad).

Happy New Year everyone!

I just completed circuits 1-5 of BFBM & feel great!! I'll never take that many days off again...just too hard to get back into it. Hate to admit it but I was starting to talk myself into waiting until the 1st, so glad I didn't.

Awesome job everyone...keep up the good work emoticon

Go Saimsam!!!

I just did the Coach Nicole 28 day boots camp. I did the 20 minute tone & burn and the 30 minute total body challenge. Both combine cardio & strength. I feel like I got a great workout!

2012 is almost over! Let's finish strong and keep going in 2013!

Well ladies I've been slacking something awful this week...both exercising & eating habits. That being said tomorrow I'm back on the wagon & will make no excuses like I have been. It's hard to believe that in a few more days it'll be 2013. Hope everyone had a great holiday.
Ali~I wouldn't worry to much about the gain...I"m sure it's just water weight & thanks for the new thread.
Rheyn~hope your palm is feeling better & I agree on the taking time off theory...my two days led to about five!

Modding, modding, modding! Haven't been able to put any weight on the palm of my hand for almost a week now, so I am missing my push-ups and full planks, and doing lots of elbow planks and compound moves from that starting position instead.

Ali, does your library have any Jillian DVDs? I was happily surprised to find that mine has most of the ones I don't have in my own collection.

Rest day yesterday. But while trying to find the workouts for the January challenge, I found that 6w6p ilevel 1 is on YouTube. Yoga meltdown level 1 is also there. Unfortunately I didn't find the others so I won't be doing that challenge :(

So I did 6w6p this morning. Omg - what a workout! It literally never stops!!! I was dazed at the end...what had just happened?!?! Lol!
Saimsam, I give you lots of credit for sticking with it this long! Those side planks are near impossible for me! I'll be adding this to my rotation for January.

I'm starting my first "normal" day since before Christmas Eve by Sparking, to hopefully get myself in the mood to work out hard and do something productive in the kitchen. It's too easy to take a day off, then let it turn into another, then another, and another.

I just did NMTZ & 3 circuits of BFBM. I wanted to get more cardio in because I weighed in this morning and am up 3 lbs from last week. I'm hoping it's water weight, we'll see tomorrow which is my actual weigh in day.

My great December plan was squashed by a terrible cold that started on 12/21. It pretty much put me out of commission in the workout department until 12/26. I still kept up with walking the doggie for a mile a day, but besides that, I was a lazy slug. Sooooooo....

Yesterday when I was still a little run down and sniffly, I did 45 minutes of Yoga thinking, "This is better than cardio right now, because it doesn't get my heart rate up and seems less stressful." Boy oh boy- it did a job on me. I'm not saying I got injured or anything. Just can seriously feel some muscles in my shoulders and sides that I haven't been cognisant of for a while. Which is a good thing, but unexpected. At least I did something. Right?

Good job to those of you that kept it up during the holiday season. Great jobs!!! I'm back on track now.

I do have a suggestion that the thread for January should be posted in the Challenges and Check-in Forum, because that's where these types of threads usually go. Just an idea....

Happy New Year and New You to All of You!!!

Happy Holiday to all!....I know its late but my computer was not cooperating with me.Now every thing is under control, and to my surprise I can not update my status by my I Pad because when ever I log on late I can not see any of my post... Weird...

anyhow I am now on Level 2 of 6W6P,which I am hating a lot more than any other of the JM workout DVD,Its Hard.

Rheyn...I am agreed with you...When I did 30 day shred I got the max result because it was my first time doing any JM exercise after that I did get the same result. Same like In first month of my weight loss journey I lost the most pounds , now its not like that its way slow .

Merry Christmas all! My best gift is my daughter going down for a nap without a struggle. At 16 monts, she all of a sudden thinks she's too big to nap!

I just did RI 30 level 2... That might make a dent in what I'll eat today.

Enjoy the day everyone!

I have Body Revolution and did the first 8 or 9 weeks of it this summer until Dave and I had to go out of town for unpleasant family things. Once the mess was over, it was time to start a TurboFire round I had already committed to with some other people, so I stopped BR.

From what I did, I never got any huge "infomercial-level" results, though the same can be said for every program I have ever done, with the partial exception of ChaLEAN Extreme. I got super, SUPER strong really fast on that, but mostly traded fat for muscle, since I only dropped a few pounds. I have come to believe that 99% of the people who get the crazy impressive results are ones who start from doing almost no exercise whatsoever, and that they would improve significantly just by taking a daily walk around the block. Those of us who are already pretty fit change in ways that are more subtle, but equally worth pursuing, even if it can be discouraging to put in the time, effort, sweat, and occasional tears and not notice much difference day to day.

ANYWAY, I'm giving Body Revolution another shot with one or two Sparkies starting January 7, if you want to join in and think you can get yours by then. It's pretty standard Jillian fare, but the format is almost straight progression instead of cyclical, so every two weeks when you put away the DVDs you just finished, you really feel like you accomplished something.

I've been slacking lately -- only did three days last week (instead of my goal of four) -- but I've been running around shopping and such. I doubt I'll get many workouts in this week either but I'm going to try to get at least three in like last week. It's so hard to take a week off and get back on track. I need to stick with it. Way to go, you ladies who are still on track!

Ali~I do the same thing...just like you by the time it comes around I usually push through & go slower on the final circuit to use it as my cool down. Another thing I do is count when doing the exercises, it always seems to help keep my mind off the time.

I was supposed to do BFBM or NMTZ yesterday but ended up chatting on the phone & not doing anything :(...that being said I'm going to tackle BFBM within the hour. Have any of you ladies tried Body Revolution? I'm thinking of purchasing it after the holidays & was looking for any feedback.

Have a wonderful holiday everyone & keep pushing!!

Just did BFBM, the whole time I do it I negotiate with myself on circuit 6... It's so hard! But by the time I get to it I'm like "I've come this far, I may as well just do it!"
Does anyone else do this in their workouts?

Rheyn- I'm glad your mom's gift arrived on time! Thanks for the encouragement, I'm going to keep trying.

I did another workout from the Coach Nicole DVD. The Total Body Challenge. I liked it, 30 minutes plus 10 minutes for warm up/cool down. I will add this to my rotation. It begins with a lot of kettle bell style moves, w/ a dumbell. There were moves I'd seen in JM workouts but a lot that I hadn't done before.

I was sweating my mom's gift arriving in time, but it was delivered today, so we are all set, aside from my mother-in-law, but I told Dave he has to take that on this year. Already did Christmas with my sister, who has came and went last week. Both brothers are in town now, though just for a few more days. 2013, here we come!

Ali, great job on Level 3. Plyo is hard but worth mastering -- you'll get it sooner than you think!

Just did 30 DS level 3 - I can do the advanced moves on everything except jump squats. I have no idea when I'll be ale to do those...I can't even do one!
I also did the cardio scupt workout of Coach Nicole's 28 Day Boot Camp. I like it better than the cardio blast workout. It's only 12 minutes & it flies by. It was a nice add-on to increase my workout time to 30 minutes.

I hope everyone is having a good start to their weekend & not doing too much last minute shopping!!!

Hey team! I've been out of commission with a sick girl. Four days in the hospital for my little one. She has surgery schedule on Wednesday to remove her adenoids and tonsils and to put tubes in her ears. It's been a tough week.

Good luck to everyone going in to the holiday week. Wishing you all well!

Ali-How is your foot, give it some rest, and congratulations on fitting into smaller sizes. For me the best reward of doing all this is getting into smaller size dress because scale does not always give the results that I expect.
Today Turn out to be my day off, power was out since last night and it was windy and cold to go out and do something.so I didnt do any exercise.

Ohhh, I was a total train wreck in high school, despite the fact that I played sports, so we won't talk about that era, lol.

In the clinic until 3 or 5 today (depending on when the next shift shows up), then holiday dinner at Benihana for the office. On one hand, I wouldn't mind the extra two hours, but on the other I'd really like to get a workout in.

Thanks everyone! emoticon You're too kind! I haven't been an 8 since high school (i think, I'm pretty sure I was a 10 my freshman/sophomore year of college). I grew up in a house that didn't have a scale so I don't even know what my HS weight was but I think I'm close.

Karen - get back at it! You can do it...it'll be worth it! Don't double-up on workouts to catch up, just pick back up where you left off and finish your 30 Days!

My foot is back to normal, I have no idea what it was but the swelling has done down & the pain is gone. I'm even wearing high heel boots. So that means I have no excuse for another rest day. I plan do to 30DS level 1 tonight.

I go away for a few days and HOLY CRAP Ali loses two dress sizes! CONGRATS!!!! I have to say that I'm jealous, in the healthiest way possible -- you've totally motivated to get my eights back too! Thanks so much for sharing your progress.

Even though I haven't been sparking, I'm keeping up on my plan; week six is almost over. It's been hard to workout and my eating has been less than perfect but I'm sticking with it. The sciatic is pinched so that sucks but my back is okay even after doing 30DS L2 twice and RI30 L1, day 1 this week! It is hard but not nearly as bad as I had built it up in my mind. The backs of my thighs hurt but that's kind of nice.

Keep up the good work, ladies and I promise to checkin and post more!

Ali, congrats on the size 8, woohoo!!! They'll fit perfect in no time, you rock!

I also agree with not taking too many rest days. Guess what I've been doing, blush. I haven't done a workout since LAST Tuesday. I've lost my momentum as well as will power in what I choose to eat. I'm going to try hard to get back on the wagon tomorrow. Please kick my butt back into gear, ladies!!!!

TurboFire HIIT 30 and 30DS3. I kind of want to do something else, just to get over an hour, but it's late and we still have the second half of Return of the King (extended edition) to watch, left from last night. (Priorities: I know, right, lol?)

Ali~Congrats on those jeans...that is AWESOME. Keep pushing & in no time those will be too big & you'll be in a size 6 emoticon

I had BFBM scheduled today & was going to take a rest day until Ali motivated my behind to do something. It won't be the full workout, I'm gonna do levels 1-5...but that's a workout enough in itself!! My shoulders are also a little sore from RI30 L2 yesterday but not that bad that I can't make it through.

Excellent work ladies...lets ring in the new year by staying on track & motivated, even during the busy holiday season!!

I had to take an unexpected 1/2 day from work (my mom was watching my daughter & got sick, so I went to relieve her)
I went shopping, I didn't find any pants I like for work but did find jeans...in a SIZE 8!!! OOOOOOMG!!! I was psyched! They fit but are still just a bit tight. I bought them because I know they'll fit me well very soon!

My foot is starting to feel better but I think I will take today as another rest day. I did take a 25 minute walk with my daughter & dog.

Congrats on the work pants. Sounds like those need to be donated. You'll NEVER be back in those babies again. Great job!! Buy yourself something cute to celebrate your accomplishment. It's no easy task. You've put so much work in.

I agree- don't do too many rest days unless you absolutely have to, because it can break your momentum. Hope your foot is doing better today.

Keep it up everyone.

Go Saimsam!

I took a rest day. I'm having some pain & swelling in my outer left foot. So I needed to take it easy. It's not nearly as bad today so I think the rest is helping. I may take another rest day today just to give it time. I haven't decided yet. ...I find that the more rest days I take, the harder it is for me to get motivated to go back to it.

Is everyone who's celebrating ready for Christmas??? I can't believe we have less than a week!

I am pretty much done with my shopping. I have 1 more gift to pick up, my husband needs a new wallet - that's easy. I also need to buy some new pants. I'm happy to report that my size 12 works pants (pants that I wore when I was in college, back in 2004) are too big!!! Hopefully I'll find some good deals this close to Christmas.

Thanks Puglove! Keep trying for more scissor kicks. For me it was just like, one day I couldn't do them & the next I could!

I did part of BFBM today - circuits 1-5, but not in order. I was planning to do just the odd circuits but then I did 1, 3, 4 & 5 and decided to do 2... And that was the end for me! I then did Denise Austin's Stretch & Tone. I am really tired. I feel like I'm coming down with a cold. Early to bed tonight for me & rest day tomorrow.

Karen~I'm glad to hear your test results came back good!

Ali~you're my shero! I can't do any more than 10 of the scissor kicks & that's on a good day. Lately I've been sub'ing them w/jump rope.

I'm off to do BFBM...I was supposed to do NMTZ yesterday but ended up doing BFBM(felt soo bad about my behavior the previous day!). I'm going to try to substitute NMTZ for Tues. or Thurs. workouts. I hate doing BFBM but know I burn the most calories with it. For me level 6 & 2 are just insane...I always have to take breaks before the second rounds.

As always great job, keep up the motivation, & keep pushing play!!

Thanks everyone! Yes, it was quite a relief. There's no history in my family, but the vast majority of women that are diagnosed also have no family history. Pretty scary. I was going through all the scenarios in my head, you know? Life insurance options. What would I do if I lost my job in the middle of fighting it? And on and on and on. So I am pretty giddy now.

I just did my eliptical at lunch today, so that's a pretty good start for the week. Going to keep up the energy when I get home and do a little bit more.

Hey, if you only have one piece of cake a week (and I'm sure it wasn't 1000 calories), that's not much extra spread out over 7 whole days. Even a 500-calorie slice of cake (that would be pretty big!) would average just over 70 calories more per day. Fear not cake, friends!

Oh my that Piece of cake was Yummy....Yes I did something wrong .I tried a new dessert recipe for my kids. It turned out to be too good ,so....I ate a piece if it...I bet it had 1000 calories in that emoticon and I didnt workout on saturday.I walked for 40 minutes.
Now on Monday I will try to double my exercise time tp burn some extra calories.I know I can do that.

Ali-Thanks for the review on 28 day boot camp, I was thinking about buying it but now i think may be later because I very little time for workout and I want to do something that is really good and challenging.

I will start my week 3 on monday.Keep up the good work ladies. emoticon

Thanks for all the well-wishes, everyone! I'm pretending last week never happened, and starting fresh (but safe) with 30DS2 today, then resuming my last three weeks of TurboFire tomorrow. There is no way I could "make up" everything I missed and still end on schedule, so I'm not going to compromise what finally feels like recovering from being sick by pushing myself too far to try to get that done.

Great job with some amazing workouts, ladies!

Puglove, good thinking with allowing yourself flexibility for a rest da as needed this week. If you go into the week with that in mind, you want feel compelled to push yourself when you know you shouldn't!

I just did NMTZ. It was tough this morning, but I am really seeing/feeling results from this month already.

One thing I've noticed, that I'm to crazy about is that when I'm in plank I have a vein that bulges on my left bicep. Anyone else notice bulging veins? It's not as if I'm some body builder with crazy muscley arms! In fact, they're still pretty wobbly when not flexed. :(

Well my week didn't end as planned...I didn't do BFBM yesterday & my eating was awful. I think it's because my body was screaming for a rest day on Thurs. & I decided to sort of push through. KBT was scheduled & I did attempt it but didn't to all the circuits to my full capability. This week I plan on doing Sun~NMTZ, Mon~BFBM, Tues~30DS L2, Wed~BFBM, Thurs~RI30 L2, Fri~off & Sat~BFBM. If I need a rest day I will take it instead of pushing through...in the long run I think that'll be best.

Awesome job ladies, everyone seems to be right on track emoticon

I received the 28 Day Boot Camp with Coach Nicole the other day. I had some free time this evening & decided to try the first workout. It's not quite what I expected.

The first "day" is cardio burst: 6 min warm up, 12 minutes of aerobics (mostly low impact) & 4 min cool down. There are more workouts & I plan to try them all. But I don't think I'll be following her plan like I expected to, in January. All of the workouts together are 85 minutes, if I have the time that sounds like a good workout. But if I've only got 20 minutes, I'm going with Jillian! She doesn't waste any time!

I just did BFBM, I was able to do actual scissor kicks today! I've never been ale to get my feet to cross in the air! emoticon

Still can't get rid of this cough and post-nasal drip, and it's been almost a week since I've had the kind of sweat session I like. No, I haven't been a complete lump since then, but low-intensity just doesn't do it for me.

Just did 30DS L2 after taking yesterday off. I feel like I should do RI30 L1 which is my next routine to try to catch up; I'm about 3 days behind in my 66 Day Plan (see blog for more details). Unfortunately, I have Christmas Shopping to do and I want to get out there before 5 pm. Anyways, I feel good about working out and even though I used lighter weights, I definitely feel like I pushed it. Keep it up, everyone!

Oh, and I have a heart rate monitor. It's waterproof and goes around my chest. The chest strap "talks" with a watch-like thing and I really like it. I bought it "used once" a couple years ago on eBay or something and it's great. I had to change the battery out but other than that, I've had no problems. Works great! The brand is Polar which is a pretty well-known brand and highly recommended.

Didn't get to workout yesterday morning or this morning due to sick kids and sick husband. Seriously, how does anyone stay on track during the cold months? Someone is constantly sick and the first thing out the window is my workout. Ugh!

Fingers crossed I have enough time to hit the gym at work before heading home. I feel like I just need to RUN. I think it's the stress from the sickos at home.

To clarify, I didn't do 50 push up all at once the other day. It was broken up over an hour.

I'll order Coach Nichole today :)

Rheyn - I hear you on that silly desire to be able to breathe while you are exercising!

Monday, that would be the reason why my "exercise" consisted of taking the shrink wrap off NMTZ & BFBM and watching them. I didn't burn many calories but can see why so many people like these two dvds. Can't wait to finally start using them myself.

SUN - 4 mile walk; random selection of arm exercises; 1/2hr yoga
MON - 1 mile walk & random assortment of leg exercises
TUE - 30DS and 1/2hr of yoga
WED - 3 mile walk on the beach (got to get a little dose of sun between storms);
late in the evening, did 30DS
and an hour of yoga (to warm & stretch all those tired muscles so they don't seize up overnight LOL)

Today, well the muscles are working but are cranky. They really want to crawl back under the blankets where it is warm and cozy! Rather than being out here in the cold cruel world, where they are being threatened with "wax on, wax off" chores. I can almost hear them pouting. Just wait until they hear that I want to make a first go at either NMTZ or BFBM later!

Didn't do a workout last night so so much for trying to catch up with two workouts in a day. I really don't know how you ladies find the time! Anyways, it was nice to have that extra 30 or 40 minutes with my husband. We cooked dinner together and watched "prank" videos on YouTube in the kitchen. It was hilarious.

I'll do level 2 of Shred again tonight and just try to keep up my minimum of 4 workouts a week. Really, doing five is not that hard but for some reason after four, I feel like I've done enough! Of course, my jeans would tell you differently.

Keep up the good work, everyone.

Just 30DS2 yesterday. I don't feel sick, I just can't shake the cough, and call me a wimp, but I prefer to be able to breathe when I exercise (lol), hence the light workout. Will squeeze something in this evening between work and Christmas Part I, then The Hobbit at midnight.

I feel blah & icky. I was going to do QTZ tonight but I don't think my body's up to it. So my plan is to chill out and watch the 12-12-12 concert instead and do a double workout tomorrow. I'm not up for an hour straight of Jillian so I'll do QTZ, wait a while, then do BFBM.

I've been sticking with my plan of mostly 40 minute workouts this week. After doing 30 DS this morning I decided to do a few circuits of BFBM. I did 1, 3, 5 & 7 ...the easier ones. I wanted to get another 20+ min of cardio in today but I was NOT up for jump training!

Karen - you asked a couple of days ago if anyone heard from Miriam. I haven't, but I think I'll send her a message to check in on her. I miss seeing her too!

I'm getting ready to do BFBM...don't want to but I've stayed committed so far this month & if I start right away it'll be over before I know it. I also don't have to cook dinner so that's an added bonus! Tomorrow will be KBT & Fri. a much needed rest day, I figured I'd take it after KBT since I might be sore w/all the butt & leg work.

As always, awesome job everyone & keep pushing play!

I did 30DS L2 this morning after deciding to call in and skip work this morning. I don't have a lot to do and I have holiday time I HAVE to use this week or lose it so I think it's fine. If nothing else, I made up for NOT working out last night and going out with coworkers. I did really well and only ate a spinach salad with shrimp on it but then I had 2 snakebites... ugh! At least I drank three big glasses of water. And it was fun so I'm not too bummed out about it.

Good work, everyone. Stay on track and don't worry about treats here and there. You ladies ROCK!

Oh, and Level 2 felt fine today; I think I've figured out what happened to my back and I'll post details in my blog. I'll just say here that my husband was right. Boo!

Good luck with your tests tomorrow.

And one day won't undo all of your progress, and I bet that ice cream was amazing! Once and a while it's OK to treat yourself.

Ok. I'm going to have to 'fess up. No workout yesterday & I ate really horribly in the evening. I'm definitely going to work out today.

I have some tests tomorrow at the hospital and am stressed out about that. I think that's why I ate the Peanut Butter Bash Sundae from Dairy Queen. I haven't had any ice cream in like 6 months or so. One day off the wagon won't kill me, but I do really regret it this morning.

I promise to be better today.

Thankfully the headache went away, but I had to drink too much caffeine so I hope I'm not wired at bedtime. I did 30DS level 2.

I need to workout tonight but I've developed a nasty headache. I'm hoping the tylenol kicks in soon. I'd like to workout in about 1.5 hours so it has time, fingers crossed it works. I haven't had this nasty of a headache since before I got my blood pressure under control. I took 2 of the kids to the grocery store to pick up some dinner and all they did was argue & fight the whole time there. They must have elevated my blood pressure big time.

Puglove, I bet you will see some great results!

Just finished 30DS L3...forgot how challenging it was. Now it's off to cook dinner, do some laundry & chill!

Ali~Awesome job on the planks w/leg lifts...I can only do them w/out weights or modified with weights cuz it bothers my wrists too much.

Karen~I'm currently using BFBM at least 3 days a week. It's only been since the beginning of Dec. but I'm sure I will see some awesome results...even better if I was more strict with my diet.
I also like the idea of keeping a thread going for each month since I stay on track sooo much better with you ladies emoticon

Saimsam, I know how you feel about time in the mornings. The only reason I was able to get my workout in early is because I work 10-7 on Tuesdays. Even then, sometimes I have to push it to the evening!

I did 30DS L1 last night and felt good. I didn't push it as hard as on Friday, but I DID figure out how to do lunges properly. FINALLY! I knew I was doing something wrong because it just wasn't hurting as much as I knew it should. I'm glad I figured it out because what I was doing was straining my already stiff hip flexors. Anyways, it was an achievement for me.

I'm going to go re-organize my "Plan" (see my blog for more info and the updates) since last week was kind of messed up due to my back; I want to get back on track. Also, I'd love to keep up a monthly check in topic; I find it's helpful to know that there are folks checking in every day or at least as much as I do!

Thanks for your support and inspiration!

OK, so I just bought the Coach Nicole boot camp DVD from Amazon. I hope it's good!

I did the Denise Austin low impact aerobics this morning - my left calf was still feeling a little tight so I thought I'd try to loosen it up with the low impact. It seems to have done the trick because it's much better now. I also did 10 minutes of some moves from JM workouts like crunches, push-ups, donkey kicks, etc. while waiting for my husband to shower.

Kim - 50 push ups, you're my hero! I can barely do 20, on my knees!

I did RI30 L2 this morning. I also did 50 push ups last night for another challenge.
I don't have the Coach Nichole DVDs but I'm willing to buy it if others are doing it in January.

I don't have Coach Nichole's bootcamp but I do have her cardio blast. I haven't tried it yet. I won it on the sparkpoints bonus wheel. Anyone try that one?

For January I decided that I'm going to rotate BFBM & NMTZ every other day with no more than 1 rest day a week. I hope to get serious results from doing them so often.

I have the bootcamp DVD, but have never done it. I'm doing another round of Body Revolution in January, but would love to be part of a Coach Nicole challenge.

It sounds like everyone is having a great Monday! If I hadn't already worked out, I would just from reading what everyone has done today!! emoticon

I was going to do NMTZ but then put in 30 DS w/o thinking... So I did level 1 & 3. My calfs are feeling tight so I wanted to avoid the double jump rope in level 2.

OMG! I did the plank rows w/ leg lifts unmodified for the first time. I have never sweat so much in my life!

Karen - I agree that we should keep this going each month. I was thinking about doing Coach Nicole's 28 day boot camp DVD for January. Has anyone tried it? I was just thinking of doing something other than Jillian for a bit.

I have a vaca coming up in March so I know I'll be doing the 30 day slim down in February.

Great workouts everyone! I am also curious about Extreme Shed & Shred. I won't be doing it for a while, but do plan on trying it in 2013.

I really like this check in thread and would like to continue it on each month (new thread for each month). I like that we are all together for motivation, support & friendship. I also like that we can come up with our own workout plans even if they don't include JM. Do you guys want to continue on with a monthly thread like this?

I did do 30DS level 1 immediately followed by level 2 earlier today. Feeling good!
