Finished week 2 yesterday...hated the cardio in plank position but got easier by the end of the 7 days. Today I am just doing treadmill to get ready for week 3.

Started week 3. QUESTION: on the first circuit of week 3 (Knee up crawl, duck walk, wide & low row) the wide and low row only happened once, when everything else repeats. Did my DVD just skip without me realizing it or does it only happen once?

Week 2 day 1 - Ok, I thought this was easier than week 1. At least I didn't work as hard as I did in week one. I wasn't as exhausted at the end of this workout as I was at the end of the week one workout. I'm hoping that its just that I haven't quite got the moves down and it will feel more like a workout once I figure them out.

I'm jumping in! I started week 1 about two weeks ago and then did some business travel and it got pushed aside. I'm determined to get through it all this time! I'm so glad I found this group, it helps me feel like I'm not going it alone!! So I'm starting week 1 again, 6 days a week, do or die, here we go!

Today was my last day of Ripped in 30 Level 4. I have to say that I'm glad it's over. I really enjoyed most of the workouts especially the stabilizer ones were my favorites. I'm really looking forward to doing more of JM workouts starting Monday.

I've lost about 3lbs this month and some inches which I won't know how many until I do them next wednesday. I know that I'm stronger and I have muscle definition. Now I just have to get that fat off from around them so I can see them emoticon

Completed Day 5 of Level 4 - I will hit the gym tonight for step class so I'm on the fence about doing another dvd this afternoon. I may just skip it and run some errands or just go for a walk if it's not too windy for the baby.

Today was my weigh in day and I lost another .8lbs for a total of 13.8lbs and 16.2lbs to go until goal.

SJW9876 - Have fun on your vacation. Just walk a lot of drink your water and I'm sure that you will be A-OK.

Week 3 day 6 done. I also sneaked a peak, since I had a little extra time, and did the first circuit of week 4.

Wow, my knees are hurting after that.

Tomorrow I will officially start week 4. I have just over a week before leaving on vacation so I am going to try and be as dilligent about calories as possible. It will be an 8 hour trip in the car and amusement parks once we get there. I know I'll get lots of walking in and we are staying at hotels with indoor pools and rec rooms that I'll aim to utilize.

Week 1 day 1 - starting over since I completely slacked last week and only got one workout in :/ I'm hoping that by the end of the week I'll be able to get farther through the workout before I'm completely exhausted! The other goal is to do at least 5 days of workout this week.

Wow you girls rock. I'm back in the gym this week. Using some of Jillian's routines for weights. They have heavier ones than at home.

I'm also doing 5k my way. I will get back to ripped at some point. Maybe even tomorrow. I still have to get to the gym 6 days a week.

I was eating too much the last two months and it shows. Nothing fits...a bit upset with myself for it but back on track now.

The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your
life is your own. No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on,
rely on, or blame. The gift is yours -- it is an amazing
journey -- and you alone are responsible for the quality of
it. This is the day your life really begins."

New goals:
Eat Positively
Exercise daily (that one is already achieved)
Experiment with 3-5 meals a day
Avoid binge for at least 3 weeks.

Week 3 Day 5 done this morning. I think I'll give myself one more day of week3 before moving on.

I have purchased 6 Week 6 Pack and Shred It with Weights...6W6P is still in the shrink wrap and I did one of the Shred it workouts before starting Rin30. So maybe i will rotate between those two. I purchased some kettlebell weights for the Shred it workouts.

FYI- if you ever need workout equipment check out tjmaxx / marshalls, good deals there.

Completed Day 3 of Level 4. I also did the BFBM dvd in the afternoon because it was just too windy to walk outside with the baby.

So what JM dvd are you going to do after you complete the Ripped in 30???

I may either do the 30 day slimdown again or make up my own routine using the BFBM, 6P6W and KBT. I have 8 weeks until I go on a cruise and I need to lose as close to 17lbs as I can and tighten up my c-section abs.

Week 3 Day 4 done...I took the weekend off from jillian, but I did 45 minutes of wii zumba on Saturday and biked with the family on Sunday. My daughter got her training wheels off much to our surprise.

Completed Day 2 of Level 4 - I did much better today. Have to wait until Monday to do it again.

SJW9876 - Try snacking on fruit and protein. Like an Apple with Peanut Butter or an piece of fruit and a lowfat cheese stick. Or whey protein and skim milk. Use your snack to meet a serving of something and plus these types of snacks will stay with you longer. At least that's what "they" say but there are times when I find that I'm hungry all day long.

Week 3 Day 3 - done!

I think that my metabolism is revved up now thanks to this workout. I'm finding I'm hungry about an hour after I eat. I am looking for low calorie snacks throughout the day.

Any body else experienced this doing the Ripped in 30 rotation???

Completed Day1 Level 4. It wasn't as bad as I thought. The cardio section was my killer. I had to modify because I really can't do too many high impact stuff because of my knees. Tomorrow will definitely be much better since I know the moves. Today I had a lot of watching the TV so that I know what I was doing.

HELLOALICIA ~ Before I got my HR monitor I was tracking it as circuit training. I would think pretty much all of Jillian Michaels DVDs would fall under circuit training except BFBM (aerobics high impact) and now Kickbox FastFix (kickboxing).

I don't have a heart rate monitor so when I track this (according to the "how to track you Jillian workout" post) do I track it as circuit training? Just a little confused about how to do it...

GOALIE_GIRL1 - I had the same problem with my hands slipping away during the plank moves so I started to use exercise gloves. They have a band to protect my wrists which are a big problem to me while doing all these moves. Don't be annoyed, I can't get my butt off the ground either. On level 3 we have the ab hold move and Jillian says it is ok to just hold this position even if we can't lift our butts.

Did Level 2 for the first time today. I got alittle annoyed...I'm struggling with the cardio plank moves for 2 minutes not because I physically can't do them but my hands start slipping and then I have to stop and readjust. And I can't seem to do the ab hold to table...I just can't get my butt off the ground. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, is it that my butt is too big or my arms are too short? I press down with my hands and the muscles are contracting but I can't lift my butt and therefore can't swing into table. Ugh! With being so annoyed I didn't put 100% into my workout and afterward I had only burned ~200cal so said my HR monitor (Level 1 I was averaging ~300cal warmup & cool down included). So I did Level 1 to get some extra calorie burn in. I'll try it again next week and hopefully I can get my issues fixed and do better!

Done - Week 3 Day 4 Level 3 - 3 more days at level 3. I really like the second circuit of level 3. I guess I like the stablizing exercises.

Done - Week 3 Day 2 Level 3 For whatever reason this level seems to fly by which I like. I can tell that there are moves that I won't be able to do completely because they just hurt my knees if I don't modify. Form and safety is much more important.

I lost 1.6lbs this week and 17.6lbs to go until my first goal.

Completed - Week 3 Day 1 Level 3 - It was harder but after completing Level 3 not as scary as I thought it would be. I did have to modify moves but I think after I get used to them I should be ok. My back was hurting after the first circuit but it seems to get much better as the workout went on.

Do any of you use a heart rate monitor to count how many calories you burned? For level 2 I averaged around 150 calories burned and with level 3 today I did 160 calories.

Completed - Week 2 Day 5 Level 2 I also plan to walk 2 miles outside today. Tomorrow I start Level 3 and I'm afraid and excited at the same time.

My quads are so damn sore after yesterdays workout :( and so are the muscles in my underarms ( yeah I know sounds weird :P )

Anyway , as I told you guys yesterday that after running for 30 minutes on the treadmill I got bouts of sneezing and a runny nose . So I looked it up online and came to know something about ' exercise induced rhinitis' . You guys should look it up too and then tell me if you have faced anything of the sort .

Today I took a day off , which isnt good as I took a day off day before yesterday as well :( But anyway , I was just not feeling like it today .

Level 3 is a killer

PINKPIXY - I agree with you, level 3 is insane! I felt the same way! But day 2 was a little easier maybe because I knew what to expect. And I felt my wrists troubling me too, so now I am using gloves with a band to protect them.

I am doing each level for 6 days, usually 5 days in a row, a rest day and then a different workout before starting the new week.

Good weekend for everybody!

My plan is 5 days on levels 1 & 2 and then 7 days on levels 3 & 4 since I hear these are insane. Plus it puts me ending the Ripped in 30 at the end of March.

Completed - Week 2 Day 4 Level 2. Saturday is my rest day; Sunday is a gym day; back to Ripped on Monday

SJW9876 - I love BFBM dvd. It makes me want to get her new kickboxing dvd. I'm sure you will do fine at the party. Just don't forget to fill up on good stuff before that party starts. Then you won't be so hungry that you are nibbling here and there on unhealthy things. Plus I'm sure you will be running around making sure everything is going well. Have fun and if you slip up just get back on plan and make sure you rid the house of all of the temptation.

Today I did Banish Fat boost Metabolism. I will continue with Ripped on Sunday and start week 2.

Tomorrow is my daughter's b-day party with family. Since there are a lot of kids we are doing pizza with a healthier pie for the adults. Also will have fresh veggies and fruit. I am hoping to have the will power to enjoy a piece or two but not over indulge. And she had to have a DQ icecream cake. I'll probably be too busy with making sure everyone else is happy to really over eat.

Yesterday was level 3 day 2. Less sore today, but it is still hard! Theses triceps push-ups are no joke!

PINKPIXY - I agree, you need to give it some time to see the changes. But I am sure you are noticing something like your strength and stamina growing, your mood improving. We need to cherish every little change and know this is the way to go!

PINKPIXY - You just have to give it time. 2 weeks is just not enough time to see decent results. I track measurements monthly NOT weekly. I started to do the Jillian Michael workouts toward the end of Jan and at the beginning of March when I took my measurements I was down inches. So just give it time and only track your measurements monthly.
