I love Jillian, but her yoga meltdown wasn't what I thought it would be. I'm a yoga fan, but I guess I just associate yoga with more of a mind body connection than I received with our Jill girl, in my own opinion. Just wasn't what I was looking for with yoga, so its a good thing I love her other dvds!

i started level 3 of my befit in 90 routine. the plyos are killer. a couple hours later i did level 1 of yoga meltdown. it was slower but it was nice to get a full range of motion and focus on the breath. i felt so relaxed last night when i was done. my legs felt so much better.

I just got this DVD, did level 1 and liked it, however barely burnt any calories, my garmin said 70. :( I am curious to try level 2 though. I have nearly all her dvd's and maybe because I'm in better shape now, but level 1 never seems enough any more. My heart rate doesn't get up enough. Or maybe she's making level 1 a little easier. I know a few years ago on Ripped in 30 and Shed I would feel dead after level 1. lol

Someone asked about 6 pack- that is one of my favorite of hers. I recommend it over Killer Abs. Again, level 1 of KA, I barely burn anything, level 2 is bit better but level 3 is best. I do enjoy them all, however I just want to get the best results for my time. 6 pack, I haven't done 1 in a year or so, level 2 is a GREAT workout- both for your abs, but also your HR gets up so you burn a lot. Even after you've been doing it a long time like myself, so I def. recommend that one!

Augh, there are back bends?? I haven't done a backbend since I was...well, I don't know if I *ever* did a backbend. Maybe when I was 8 years old? When I get back to YM, I'll have to do them *very gently* or skip entirely until I work on it through regular stretching.

BTW, for everyone that wants a really good, yoga style stretch that's not yoga-ish at all, check out Madeleine Lewis' AM PM Stretching DVD. All stretches are held for 30 seconds, both sides are stretched evenly & her cuing is excellent. I *always* do her DVD before I do a JM workout. And wonders of wonders, I can now touch the fingers of both hands behind my back from both sides! There are 2 25 minutes routines, and one 20 minute "power stretch".

I just tried YM for the first time last night. I am on the fence if I like it or not?! I will have to give it more time before I make up my mind. I had no problems with the moves, however with the back bends, my back was getting very sore where I had my three epidurals from my c-sections!

Never done the real thing so I dont mind!
6w6p is great. I dont sweat as much as with NMTZ or killer buns, but for the first time ever i was sore on side abs (keep forgeting the correct term) and low back. I feel the work out. Circuit 1 is ok but circuit 2 is very quick and breathtaking!
I'm on day 3, i'll skip today, cause I wont get home till very very late and do day 4 tomorrow.
I already have a slight definition on the abs so I do expect results. I have to get back on track with my nutrition though.

I don't stand still either i fw the tape or just modify...

let me know how the 6 week 6 pack is.

I get bored really quickly so I tend to alternate. Ripped, killer buns and thighs, yoga meltdown etc.

I just bought heavier weights and I'm now going through ripped in 30 again.

Her yoga is nothing like a real yoga lesson. I like hers more even though people complain it's not the real thing...

I just started 6weeks six pack to go easier on the legs but I thought it will be boring for 6 weeks, so maybe I could add yoga once or twice a week. I will try it, but i've never done yoga before, when I skip an exercise I cant stand still, what do I do?

I also like this one for early in the morning. I'm sticking with level 1 for a long time. I like it. I even do some of it in the gym as part of my stretches at the end of a session.

Did level 1 for the 2nd time. i must admit i generally prefer a more relaxing yoga session - one that focus more on stretching, but i do like the poses she picked.

I did the first level today, and I am floored at how week my core is! This was an easy workout to do in my hotel room. No jumping around doing aerobics to upset those under me, but still gets you sweating. Will be doing it again tomorrow, and possibly every day do this five day trip.

Have had this DVD for a while but only did it this morning for the first time. Don't know that I loved it, as it isn't true yoga as I know it (not that spiritual, mind you not that I was expecting to find my soul with JM chirping in my ear!)
Did level 1, and it I'd good strengthening. I'll try it again sometime.

I really don't like her yoga dvd. It is way too forced, IMO, and yoga really isn't her thing. I do it maybe once every few months.

Brendark - they make these yoga "socks" they are toe less with grippy bottoms. I like them and I don't slip anymore.

This DVD is fantastic! I love yoga and Jillian finds a way to make it kick your butt even more! By having you move in the poses, it helps with the cardio and then holding the positions helps tone your muscles. I love it. I do level one and two regularly and have seen great results from it as well as from doing her 30 DS dvd plus the Shred it with Weights, 6W6P and the no more trouble zones dvd. I love them all!

I just got it in the mail yesterday and did it for the first time yesterday after L3D5 of 30DS. Boy was I dying today! My shoulders were nuts! and yet somehow I was crazy enough to do it again tonight! Still struggling to maintain traction on my yoga mat... but working on it.

I bought this DVD a month ago and haven't opened the package yet. I love 30DS level 1 and do that a couple times a week along with walking and Zumba class. I like to stick with the same workouts because I get nervous about trying new things. However, I know that I will benefit more by mixing things up a bit.

After reading the comments about this workout, I am interested in trying it. I don't have a yoga mat so I will have to see if I can do it just on carpet with a towel. I hope I can do it. Wish me luck!

I have 30DS, Ripped in 30, No More Trouble Zones, Yoga Meltdown, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, and Shred it with weights...

There are 2 levels and yes you stay on each level until you feel you can move on... I did them both in 2 weeks, but this dvd I use for my rest days. I really like this dvd,

I am a yoga newbie, so I have been taking it slow and popping in the dvd for a few minutes here and there to learn a pose. I tend to go overboard with things and so I have to remind myself that this is something that I have to go slowly with...that is really hard for me...

Long Term Goals: To fit in my size 10's and run in a 5k

Short Term Goals: To exercise at least 5x a week and lose 2 pounds a week

I am definitely NOT in good enough shape for this one yet! I did day 1 of the 30 day shred yesterday, and then thought......let's try the yoga. I am very prone to overdoing things, and am recovering from an ankle surgery, so am trying to mix things up and take it slow. Well..... I made it 20 minutes and that was it! I will come back to this workout maybe after the 30 day shred - I really am terribly out of shape! Yikes!

This workout is amazing ~ I pour buckets of sweat and feel so energized - very short but very powerful. Am ready to move to Level 2 and trust me, I never thought I would say that after day 1 of level 1.

(I think I need to buy a sweat resistant yoga mat)

I got this DVD for my birthday, and tried it for the first time yesterday. I used to take a regular yoga class, so I was already a little familiar with some of the moves. I think it would be harder to follow along if you don't know what she's talking about. Kind of like BFBM - I had the hardest time with that one at first because she just starts doing the moves without explaining them.

I liked this DVD a lot. I felt like it was more of a workout than most yoga DVDs, but not as hard as some of Jillian's other workouts. It was a good compromise on a day when I didn't feel up to NMTZ or BFBM.

I did it today. My arms and shoulders are sore- but a good sore. Bridges are a lot harder at 32 than 12!

I did level one once and right now I'm drinking a glass of water after 30DS level 2, then I'm going to try to do the whole YM. I loved level 1 because it really worked my muscles but wasn't so heavy on the cardio. perfect cool down workout!

Hi all...
I just tried the Yoga meltdown today and I absolutely LOVED it...
I just finished the 30 day shred and thought I needed a cool me down before I start the Ripped in 30 so decided to take the Yoga one out and WOWWY...
After the workout I felt so good it was actually nice, but couldnt believe how much my back had cracked LOL...
I have had a sore back for a couple of days and nothing helped and then I do this workout and yup back is back to normal LOL...

I have done this workout twice, and it has kicked my butt- I am so sore! My triceps (not sure how that works), by back, and my legs-even more so than when I walk/jog, or do shred it with weights. Maybe I am just not limber enough or what, but this is a hard workout for me! I still haven't figured out how to incorporate it into my regimen, but I am loving it.

Bought this video and the 6 week abs video with Christmas gift cards... Can't wait to try it. No one at-home video has been as motivating or has worked (!) like Jillian's 30DS and BFBM/NMTZ have! I am looking forward to being able to do the February Challenge.

If I make it through the SP January Jumpstart Challenge, I'm buying a new Jillian Michaels DVD. Any suggestions?

I originally just emailed this to Fidgert, but I thought it might help others too, just as a suggestion.

With the wrist pain in the side plank - I used to be like that. Still am, if I'm being honest! It isn't easy, that's for sure. But the reason I got the wrist pain is because my upper body and core just weren't strong enough. This exercise is not only a core workout, but a total body workout I find - the more you do it, the easier it will be to hold. An idea, if you can't do it from your wrist, is do it from your forearm. That way, you can stay up and stay in a full side plank without dropping down to your knee, but you're giving your wrist a break.

I have just about every dvd Jillian has put out and unfortunately this one is my least favorite. But I don't think it's the workout I think it's just me. I've never been a big yoga fan, I'm still going to try it a couple more times and see if maybe I can enjoy it more you all have such great things to say about it makes me want to love it too :-)

Killer workout. Got the dvd in a 3 pack today. Not sure if i'm ready for all of it yet. My arm can't handle the pressure of it all. But At least I gave it a try.

I worked out with this DVD for the first time today! I LOVE Yoga and I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised with how good this workout is :) - I haven't been doing Yoga much lately because for me, it doesn't burn a lot of calories but I think I will try to do it once or twice a week.

I got this DVD for Christmas and I really like it so far. I've only done Level 1 twice - Sunday and Monday, and my shoulders are very sore. I'm definitely feeling it in my core as well. The chatarunga pushups are killing me since I can't do a regular push up, but I'll get there!

My goal is to do Level 1 five times this week, then attempt Level 2.

I've been working out with Jillian for a couple years now and used to do yoga with the TV show Inhale on Oxygen (no longer on...bummer), but I still can't do the push ups from the regular position. I can lower myself down ok while on my toes, but can't get myself back up again :) I do the push ups from my knees and it's still hard. A level above this would be on one knee with the other leg out in the regular position. That will increase the difficulty without being a huge jump. I'd like to one day make it to doing them all from my toes, but who knows? I'm getting a great workout right now from my knees. I think consistency is part of it to. If you incorporate this DVD regularly, you'll get stronger and surprise yourself.

So glad to see this thread! Im huge on pilates and had also planned to start the shred on Tues and Thurs when its my husbands morn. to go to the gym however when I came across this dvd in the store and saw that the moves where more similar towards pilates than yoga i knew I had to try it! Im gonnna watch it thorugh tonight than start my new routine incorporating this in! So excited! After 30 days, on Dec. 1st i plan to start the shred.

So I think there´s no way I can ever do the crow position, I just keep feelinh like I´m going to break my legs (which almost happend yesterday). But other than that - I really start to like this workout, I try to do L1 and L2 in the same session. Does anyone else also feels like the L1 is targeting more legs and butt and L2 is more for arms and abs?

I'd tried a few yoga dvds before YM but I just hated them... they were way too boring and I wasn't burning any calories. I love this dvd. I definitely don't feel the burn as much as with Jillian's other dvds, but it feels great.
