I tried Quick trouble zones this morning, it was pretty good, but not long enough. Might need to pick up the full DVD soon-then I'll have the whole set!

Did BFBM this morning. I think I've discovered why circuit 6 seems so much harder than the others...the music is the theme song from the Halloween movies (or that's what it reminds me of anyway). Thoughts??

Love this DVD, glad I picked it up.

You guys have totally inspired me to join this team and really give the Shred my all! :) I have all three, but have only done BFBM and NMTZ only once each. I did do the quick trouble zones that was on the On Demand exercise TV. It seemed to be NMTZ without the last circuit. It was still a killer! emoticon

get them both. nmtz uses weights, bfbm uses body weight but is much more cardio.

I have the Biggest loser Cardio max one and although it is okay I would say that the BFBM of Jillian alone is much harder and when I compare my heartrate/calories burned on the two I usually burn more on the BFBM. But if you can do the Biggest loser DVD's then you should be able to get through BFBM, just will be a bit of a challenge, but that is always good :)

I have No more trouble zones and that one is really good for abs and triceps. I feel like she focuses more on triceps in this dvd than she does in 30DS. But I love both.

Wow! I've got all 3 dvd's but have just been concentrating on 30DS lately. Reading all your posts have motivated me to get my butt in gear and get going with BFBM and NMTZ again. WHen I alternated them daily in August, as well as doing 30DS, I lost 10 pounds in one month! I know that I can do it again!

Thanks for the inspiration, all. I'll let you know in a week or so how things are going ('cause I'll have to get up at 5am to do the longer ones-I can fot 30DS into the end of my day, but not BFBM or NMTZ...)

I tried NMTZ today and I have to say it was definitely challenging. Again - pushups were the worst and I had to take a number of breaks.

I was going to do BFBM tonight but I think I'll just do it tomorrow.

I just finished my first day of Level 2 of Shred, and I think I like this level better than Level 1. We'll see how my body feels tomorrow though. I also bought NMTZ at the same time I bought 30D Shred but have yet to try it. I may do both workouts this weekend and see if I can just alternate between the two. I am definitely looking forward to NMTZ due to some of the comments on here. Thanks for the motivation everyone!

Wow...everyone has inspired me to do this. I'm going to aim for 5 - 6 days a week with the NMTZ and 30 Day Shred for a good workout.

I'll throw in cardio 2 -3 times a week with some other strength training.

You will definitely see results. I loved the Shred because it made me stronger and increased my stamina. I also became more toned. However, now that I've started NMTZ and BFBM, I feel like the magic is finally starting to happen. I am finally dropping pounds b/c they are longer workouts.

I'm starting both the BFBM and 30DS tonight. I think by getting in the cardio from BFBM and the toning and strenghtening of the 30DS will combine to some good results!

I've been part of the 30DS team for over a month now. I feel stronger! I just joined the Banish Fat Boost Metablism team on Wednesday.
I think the cardio routine will help drop the pounds, while 30DS will keep the tone. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

BFBM is killer!

You cracked me up at the "stinker" comment. The advice is better late than never, I suppose. Maybe she wants us to suffer a little bit before telling us what the modification is.

Planks are tough on the abs. I think it's because at that point in the DVD, we've already soldiered through some other ab work. When I did those planks during the last few level 3 shred sessions, they didn't seem so bad. The skin on my elbows is a little rough from some of those moves, though. Anyway, like you said, I don't want to do an easy workout. Jillian knows how to present a challenge.

I did my Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism today, for the second time. Look at how much I weigh And I am going to hold it up in a full plank. :() I modified it. She doesn't tell you how to modify till your half way through. Ant't she a stinker.

This DVD is quite a challenge, I sweat more with this and NMTZ then I do working the 30 Day Shred.

I will remember to put on my head band, great idea.

Plank is real hard on the abs. To busy thinking about my arms and shoulders, during the exercise tho. If it was not a Challenge it would not be fun. emoticon

It sounds like you have a great routine going on. FYI, if you are a push-up hater, you may really like "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism." I did it for the first time today, and not a single push-up was required. I was still dripping w/sweat, however. I bought a sweat/headband at Sports Authority over the weekend to keep the perspiration from dripping into my eyes during Jillian's workouts. During the walking push-ups in Level 3, sweat always drips down my face.

Day 5 level 1 knees where real sore. Later last night I did the 40 minutes NMTZ Had to modify the plank moves. Superman is a killer.

I didn't think it would be. I am quite the baby when it comes to push ups. I count on my hundredpushups.com to help get me strong. Today was the first day. I see progress here.

I will do the 30DS everyday. and switch BFBM M,W,F and NMTZ Tu,TH,Sat. I can do this, I will ad an hour of walking every other day. emoticon

Congrats on being so close to reaching your goal! I did level 3 of the Shred today and followed it up with No More Trouble Zones for the first time. I had time to do the workouts back to back b/c I had the day off from work. (Believe me, I needed to get in some quality exercise over the weekend to try to compensate over 4th of July bbq's and a few adult beverages.) I really like No More Trouble Zones! I plan to use it in rotation w/the Shred and elliptical. I ordered NMTZ and Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism from Amazon. They were delivered to me at the same time. I'm going to try BFBM tomorrow IF I am not too sore from NMTZ today. I feel fine right now, but it might bite me tomorrow! It was challenging, but I think the Shred made me well-prepared for it. I never would have been strong enough for certain moves back in May when I did the Shred Level 1 for the first time.

LOL ... never really thought about it. Showering just feels good. Mind you, I don't do my hair after the evening shower .... that can wait until after morning routine. I do have relatively short-ish hair but I HAVE to wash, blow dry and straighten it EVERY day ... that bugs me more than showering twice. I guess I have never thought about the obstacle, just the results I want which requires me to get my fat arse moving!

Mummylicious, that is so hilarious! I think the SAME thing sometimes!!! The long hair... it's what totally does it. Cause when I have short hair it's totally different. But washing up twice a day sucks. But it HAS to be done... the sweat... it's not like you can avoid showering. I just have to laugh :) I guess it's a good predicament to be in. At least it means we're healthy and strong.

Mummylicious: Okay, this is probably going to sound really girly, but.... Isn't it annoying to be getting all sweaty twice a day and having to shower all over again? Admittedly, it's probably a bit more of a chore for me because I have long hair that takes a while to wash, but still...

Thanks. I think I might like NMTZ a lot from how you have described it. I enjoy the cardio portions of the 30DS. I really like the oblique twists and skater moves in Level 2. I know the weight training is extremely effective, but I find military presses and push-ups to be pretty tough. I will probably rotate the three different Jillian DVDs for optimal results.

I rotate all three 30DS, BFBM & NMTZ. I have to say that I hate BFBM but I know it is worth it ... I only hate it because it is a tough/good workout! I don't really hate 30DS but it is a good workout too ... again ... it's worth the work! Stange enough, I LOVE NMTZ ... I have no clue why but I actually find it fun and look forward to it the most. I am really enjoying the results of all three overall!

Thanks! Congrats to you for being able to do Jillian's other, longer workout! Level 3 IS tough. I didn't like it on Day 1, but started to warm up to it on Day 2. The scissor movements w/the legs and abs are the hardest ab moves to me in the entire series. The dumbell rows and leg raises are pretty hard for me, too. I feel such a sense of accomplishment when I finish, though. Can't wait to try the other DVDs!

Thanks! I love Jillian, too. I heard a lot of fellow Shredders say they like the Biggest Loser Bootcamp DVDs. I'm sure they're good, but Jillian is my favorite trainer. I'd rather have her barking at me for most of my workout session. Bob seems too nice.

I've done No More Trouble Zones and its pretty challenging. I've heard that Burn Fat, Boost Metabolism is moreso about Cardio Circuits and No More Trouble Zones is more about weight training circuits. If that helps at all.

I haven't done BFBM yet so I can't be 100% sure. I'm sure someone else can confirm (or correct me if I was wrong). :) LOVE JILLIAN!!!

BFBM and NMTZ are two different workouts. NMTZ is a circuit workout like 30DS and BFBM is a cardio workout. So, I say get both and work all three in.

Hi All,

I've completed Day 5 of Level 3. I'm aiming to do at least 5 more sessions of the Shred. Even though I will keep the Shred and incorporate it into my routine for a long time to come, I want to try Jillian's other DVDs. Does anyone prefer Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism to No More Trouble Zones?
