Longterm Goal: 175 pounds, rather fit. Midterm Goal: 15 lbs (will get me under the obese range) Current Goal: 2 pounds (I have not lost weight in a long, long time, despite what I think is healthy eating)

October's Goals
1) Would like to see 210ville (219) by the end of this month. I don't know if that is doable but I am going to try to get as close to 219 as I can.
2) Try to be consistent with tracking my food each day.
3) Try & stay within my calorie range-1,200-1,500 calories a day.

Been on a 6 month hiatus! Gained back 30 lbs.! I am ready to relight that spark again! I am starting the fall challenge tomorrow which will make me accountable GOALS. 1) Weigh & measure my food. I am bad with portion control. Like it binge eat. 2) Use food tracker. This has been ALWAYS successful for me when it comes to loosing weight. 3) Planning. Make a grocery list when I go food shopping & follow it. I tend to be a impulse shopper- chips, chocolate etc. Linda

I know it's small steps with little goals so I am working on the gym one until it's routine then adding more here we go!!!!

I have many long term goals, such as losing close to 100 pounds, improving my level of health, and gaining more energy. However, in the short term, I want to be able to accept that I need more structure and balance in my life, commit to following through on daily steps to achieve my goals, and to mindfully make better choices each day, such as getting to bed on time, drinking plenty of water, journaling, getting at least 10 minutes of exercise in, and eating at least some produce.

My goal is to get back on track! I did really well for several months, and then the Holidays hit....lousey excuse, I know!
But, my "adopted" daughter is not only engaged, she wants me to play harp at her wedding! This ties in nicely.
So, by the wedding, I need to do several things.
Practice! I want to get the Pacabelle Canon back into my fingers, and 3 hymns by the end of January. Then another 3 hymns by the end of Febuary, and 3 Celtic pieces by the end of March--Most likely Young Maiden, Believe Me and Water is Wide. That means about an hour a day on my bench.
Get back to the gym, and on my road bike!
Specifically, I need to work up to about 45--60 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes or so of wt training most days.
And very important, I have started getting back on track eating, now I need to track it. Has anyone else noticed that after over indulging for a period of time, you really get sick at the idea of another _______________?
Scars tell us where we have been. They don't dictate where we are going.
2 Major goals at the moment: 1-Starting @ 340lbs, I want to drop down to 260lbs and/or 24%bf (Army Tape Test std) by 12 May 2012 in preparation for the PA Tough Mudder. 2-I want to complete my body transformation by continuing to drop weight down to 190lbs and/or 10%bf by 01 January 2013 (150lb total weight loss)
I will reach these goals through a mixture of proper nutrition (a portioned paleo diet ala Robb Wolf's performance menu article, 42 ways to skin the zone), regular full body strength training (mixture of increasing difficulty gymnastics movements coupled with compound barbell movements-cleans, presses, snatches, etc), hard conditioning (bodyweight circuits, strongman work against the clock, sandbag work, etc), and both interval and distance oriented cardio. Also doing some insanity for fun.

My short term goal is to work out 30 minutes not counting warmup/cooldown every other day without getting sick.
My long-term goals are to get down to a size 12 and get fit to the point where I can headbang for a full headline set at a concert without getting sick the next day. And I mean really headbang. Like my hair's hitting the guy in front of me... in the face... headbang. Like Metalocalypse... ...I'm a nerd.

My long term goal is to hike do to Havasupai Falls in spring of 2013. My son is coming home from Germany and that is what we plan to do.
Short term goals are to keep at it!! I want to lose 8-10 lbs per month and keep increasing my walking distance by .6 mile every other week. Until I am ready for a difficult 8-12 mile hike in 2013.
I'm going to do this!!

I have to get back on track...again. I like to make the beginning of the month my start, but i need to work up to it. (Does that make sense?) So I have about 10 days to start tracking my food, start exercising again, and start being more active on Sparkpeople. On November 1st, I am hoping to be on the right track and ready to go full force!

I was in onederland once. Not anymore. But I will be again...and soon. Went on a year long vacation with my sweetie and put 50 lbs back on. I was on SP before we left. Had lost over 200 lbs. My goal is to make it through this first week back without a slip up. This is my 4th day and still going strong. Feel good about it. Think I have my mojo back. My long term goals are to get back to my "feel good" weight, finish the rest of my surgeries (have had tummy tuck and arms done...still need my back and thighs done), and start 2012 back in onederland.
Strive to be content. Happiness follows.

Goals:
This week - track *all* my food, and get my exercise up to the calories I'm supposed to burn.
This month - Lose 10#. Between water weight sloughing off and being at the beginning of a food/exercise plan, this is doable. Get back to the gym.
This year - (before Dec. 31) - lose 20#. Start the new year in Onederland!
My goal is to complete my 30 day exercise challenge and after that make it a lifetime commitment

My shortest term goal is to lose 8 pounds by July 15th for my cousin's wedding. I bought a dress this Spring and since then I have relasped into my comfort zone with my BF and have gained a couple of pounds back. (thank God for swimsuit season, or I wouldn't have oticed so soon!!) My mid-term goal is to walk or run every day. I need to get back into a good cardio routine. Then I can incorporate ore ST and achieve my long term goal of getting back down to my previous weight of 157. I would like to achieve that by my birthday, which is Octber 27th. Thanks for being here for me to keep me on track!!!

Goal: Lose 17 # by Oct 1. Track my food every day. Every day. Exercise 5 days a week. Exercise can be hiking a nearby trail, biking a nearby trail, mowing my lawn (2 hours of walking here), or kayaking.
Most, gain back my self respect and feel good about accomplishing a weight loss. Thank you all for reading this post. Seems good to make such a public commitment.

It's been a few years since I've been active on the Sparkpeople website and I need to get back to tracking my food intake as well as exercise. Within the last 8 months, I've discovered that my knee pain is from osteoarthritis and because of the pain I haven't been exercising like I've done in the past. My main goal that I'm focusing on right now is to begin a walking program that I can stick with (and one that won't make my pain worse!).

I have a few goals. In the short term, I need to lose 2.5 sizes before my daughter's wedding in June. My dress is ordered and there's no letting it out! Talk about the carrot in front of the horse! Long term, though, my goal is to stick with SparkPeople, even when I've been "bad" and don't want to stay accountable. That's usually where I flub up; get lazy for a few days, then start deleting the emails and reminders like nagging debt collectors...oy vay! But not this time. I've been so successful this year so far, I just want to keep going!

two days this week withing calories, if I just don't pig out the rest of tonight. So, to stop eating NOW--I have 9 calories left today--and get my work out in.
Scars tell us where we have been. They don't dictate where we are going.
I forgot my long term goal-which is to run a half marathon. I figure by the time I get this far with weight loss, diet, etc... Running the half is more of a symbolic measurement. I will be hopefully much healthier and rid of many disorders I got partially because I let myself go. I stopped taking care of myself. It's time to start again one step at a time.

I still went over my calories for yesterday, but not nearly as badly once I went back to the broccolli, and looked at the nutrition pop p. Somehow, the one I had--which was NOT marked with sauce--was coming out at over 100 calories per cup! I got that changed, and things were better. Only a few hundred over at days end, instead of 5 or 6 over. Hundreds, that is. Today is nearly over, but my goal is some knitting, ad not to pig out like I am prone to do at night.

My goals are to: -Keep up with a 6 day a week exercise routine. -Stay consistent with SP and my team goals. -To not give up just because I get off track with diet.

No brownies got made. I was totally obsessing over warm chocolate, so I did make 1 serving of fudge frosting. The lesser of 2 evils!
Today I was determined to stay inside my calorie count. I blew it by lunch--I think. I'm going to go back and check the calorie count..I can't believe I ate nearly 200 calories of broccoli!

My weight loss goal is to not gain anything over the holidays. I am aiming to maintain even if I don't lose any. After the holidays are over, my goal is to work on getting the paperwork moving for my divorce. I've let it sit over the holidays, mainly for the sake of my daughters and not wanting to upset them over the holidays by pursuing the divorce actively.

My short term goal is to make it through the holiday season without gaining. My over all longterm goal is to lose 100 lbs. My goal for this week is to increase my actual meals so I am eating enough calories. I keep forgetting to eat and as a recovering anorexic my body goes into starvation mode with just one or two skipped meals and packs on the pounds. have to get my eating regular r just eating like a normal person will make me gain over the holidays.

Well, I was doing very well tracking and exercising until last week. Two things happened to get me off track. My SIL, who is my walking partner, had a baby and I pretty much haven't walked since she went to the hospital. And second, I was the chairperson for a community festival that went off with a big bang yesterday. It is over now () so now it is back on the wagon.
Back to tracking and exercise every day! Just started with 150 crunches.

My short term goal is to track my food and sleep this week before my vacation and be health conscious while I'm on vacation. My long term goal is to stay active on Sparkpeople. I know this site really works I just need to stick with it.

To track food more than 4 times a week and exercise every day.
" You do have time to exercise. If you have time to check email, watch a sitcom or two, surf the Internet, have drinks, coffee and dinner with friends, go clothes shopping, and on and on, then you have time to exercise. My short term goal this week is to walk at least 2 miles 5 out of the seven days. I also, am adding in some running, so a goal there is to just increase the distance no matter how small.

I am really babystepping it, I've been really down on myself and not doing anything at all. My first month's goals (last month) were all things like "get dressed" and "wash face". I was happy to meet almost every goal I had set last month.
This month I added to come here again and start tracking my fitness minutes and foods. So far, so good!
