Weigh in day for me. . .stayed the same. I actually expected a gain so I'm happy with not moving at all! I lost 1/2 inch around the waist too. I did exercise more this past week so maybe it's muscle AND I didn't track that well over the weekend - especially Saturday but overall I don't think I did that bad. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

Thanks! Great advice as well. I will definitely try that tonight. I think the 9's is what I got. They do feel good on my feet - so much better than my plain old NB - from 4 or 5 years ago!! Hopefully the tie trick will work and I'll be good to go or run - literally!!

Congrats on the loss!!! :D I'm running in Brooks Adrenaline 9's, which are now last year's model (crazy shoe companys always coming up with another version) and anyway -- I'm guessing it's possible you tied it too tight. That can definitely cause tingly toes although I haven't experienced it on the ball of the foot before. Definitely try it again -- try tying your shoes with your toes angled up -- like you're uber flexing your foot -- and that should help you not tie them too tight. I learned that trick like... a month ago. HAHAA :D and I love it.

My weekly weigh in - lost 1.8 lbs. this time. Went out and bought me new shoes to jog in. I got the Brooks Adrenaline's...it's last years model but hey - they were cheaper and they feel just as good. However, while jogging on my treadmill, I noticed that my right foot on the bottom - "ball of the foot" felt so numb during and after jogging - wondering if it's the shoe or if I could've tied that one too tight?! If that continues, I am thinking that pair has to go back - I really wanted the Asic Kayano's but $140 - not in the budget especially so close to the holidays!

Down 1.4 today! The doc that I've been weighing in at only had me down at .4 though, so I had them give me a print out of my weigh-ins and it's actually 1.4 - they had the wrong weight on one of the days!! YAY! BUT...makes me think from now on I am going to actually weight at HOME every Tues. AM and ONLY log that weight.

Hope everyone is able to somehow enjoy this rather wet, nasty and dreary day!! I'm even more grateful for my treadmill these past couple evenings!

Down one more pound - thank goodness - I was worried since I had Cheesecake Factory food Sunday night!! Though, the only high-calorie food I had was the actual cheesecake so it wasn't as bad as I thought it was after researching the calories in the food I had. HOWEVER, considering I've picked up on my exercising, I have to admit, I secretly had hoped to see another 2 lb loss, instead of just one. But oh well, I will just keep on keeping on as they say!! We'll see how next week turns out! No inches lost this week though - bummer.

CONGRATS!!!

Seriously, you're doing great. Every week won't be a big week and the fact that you're losing shows you're on the right track. ESPECIALLY the loss in inches. Don't start cutting calories and upping exercise willy nilly -- by doing that you can put yourself in starvation mode and halt your progress altogether! I'd recommend trying a changeup in your workouts if you're feeling the blahs. Or think about something different you can focus on in your food.

Like focus mainly on fruits and veggies for a while, or change your treadmill workouts for a dance workout video. Just something to help keep things fresh!

I weighed in. Lost 1 pound and 1/4" off everywhere so it's something. Probably better than I expected anyway. I feel like I'm slowing down in my weiht loss process for some reason (maybe why I'm feeling the "blahs"?). Does that mean I should kick up the exercise a notch, cut the calories down? I am pleased with my results though, just dont' want to lose momentum, ya know?!

So today was 'weigh day' for me. Though my clothes were "heavier" than the norm the doc still showed me having a loss of 1 lb.!! So YAY - probably actually lost 2 I'm thinking...give or take a few ounces. I also lost 1/2 an inch on my waist and 1 inch from my hips! It would be awesome to lose another 10 lbs by Christmas! I want to go shopping for NEW SMALLER clothing after Christmas to take advantage of those sales! :-) Hope everyone is having a great week.

Thanks again you guys! You're awesome and are great motivation for me. Bre - I found that Comcast has exercise on their On-Demand program that are free so I flipped through there this morning and did Jillian Michael's 30-Day Shred!! O - M - G....that kicked my butt! They also have other exercise programs to do which is great - because I tend to get bored easily with my work outs and with the weather it'll be a huge help in keeping me active! I just need to get those weights! I did the 30-Day Shred without weights but STILL got the BURN!!! Thanks for recommending that!

Thx Dana! You're so right about the curves. And luckily my waist is smaller than the hips so I've got the curve thing going! lol I had the most "down" week last week just thinking I wanted to stop trying to lose weight and get healthy but this week I just feel so much better and empowered I guess you could say - I mean I have accomplished alot in 6 weeks! and I'm learning that making healthier choices gets easier and easier the more you make them. I feel in control for the 1st time in a long time. You guys are all so encouraging and I'm so thankful to have found you guys on here!

And don't worry about the hips -- women need curves. If your hips are larger than your waist that's a GOOD thing. You continue on your journey and you WILL get fit and healthy! :D Our body type/shapes won't change much -- so like I'm still a pear, but I'm a healthy sized pear and I like that my hips have the curves they do, ya know? :D

It feels awesome to get more than 2 off though, huh!? I'm worried about my weigh in tomorrow - I had a nerve block done for my back on Friday so I didn't get to exercise this weekend like I normally do - but we'll see. So I gained 4 ounces last week but this week I lost 3 lbs. AND I measured myself last week so that I could have something else to use as a tracker instead of just the scale. I lost 2 3/4" in my waist and 2" off the hips! That made me feel SOO much better along with the 3 lbs. I think I'm ready to step up the exercise to 5 days instead of just the 3 I've been doing to really jump start my loss! Hope everyone else is having a successful week!

If on your fitness tracker you are consistently going over by the end of the week, I'd recommend adjusting your weekly average calorie burn.

The way you do this is look on your main page near the bottom it says "Burn XXX calories per week" click on CHANGE THIS next to it.

There you can say how many minutes you're doing cardio how many times a week OR manually enter a weekly calorie burn estimate.

Your fitness tracker will also show you a message in red below the tracker saying YOU'VE GONE OVER I don't remember exactly what it says... :)

Thanks Dana! Those are things I didn't think about. I can rule out that it's not that time of the month coming up. I do track my exercise on the fitness part of my page but unsure about adjusting somewhere so that my calorie range is appropriate for the calories I'm buring. Can you tell me where that is when you get time? I do think I'll take your advice and not change anything at least until my next weigh in but I'd like to take a look. Sodium? - that could be a possibility. Thank you for the great information and encouragement! I appreciate it!

Eh, it happens. There are all kinds of factors.

Did you eat high sodium food yesterday? Is that time of the month coming up? Are you possibly burning more calories than you're eating for (increasing exercise without adjusting in Sparks so that your calorie range is adjusted as well)?

There's also the possibility that it's just a slow week. I've had them before where I'd lose solidly for a couple weeks, take little to no loss (or tiny gain) and then next week drop a LARGER amount (like the 3-4lbs you were expecting). Just hang in there!!! :D I wouldn't tweak a whole lot at this poing since it's just been one week. Just stick to it and see what happens next week. Make sure not to eat high sodium the day before weighin to prevent water retention as well.

OK - I'm so DOWN about my weigh in today!!! I've been dedicated to a new healthy lifestyle for 3 solid weeks now. I lost 2 lbs. each for my 1st two weigh ins....today I gained 4 ounces. I know it doesn't sound like a lot...but how can I be gaining when I'm tracking everything I put in my mouth AND I've added regular exercise into the mix!! I've incoporated a little jogging with my walking! I expected to hear a big " you lost 3 or 4 lbs.!"...just feeling down...any of you have a weird "gain" like that?

I'm back down to 122! My waist is now 27", my gut is 33", and my hips are 37". That's a loss of about 3.5 inches in a month--yay!

As far as the weight goes, I stayed the same. So, I decided to take out the measuring tape.
Arm: 0
Bust: -2
Band: 0
Waist: -1.5
Stomach: -2
Hips: -0.5
Thigh: -0.5
Calf: 0

This was in 3 weeks. So, I'm really pleased with these numbers even if the scale isn't moving. It has to move eventually. I think I'm doing too much work for it not to.

I gained .2 pounds this week, but when I checked my scale (I have one with body fat %), I lost body fat! I know they aren't the most accurate things, but it was a significant drop, so I feel pretty good about it!
