The gas station closest to my work took out the Icee machine (only drink coke) so that should help some!
The gym I use twice a week for weight machines is closed till the 17th of next month the gym across post does not have all the machines I use operational but I want to lose 4 pounds and maybe 2 inches before my wedding next month in Vegas. I am desperate!

i was tempted to get a bottle of dr pepper from the vending machine. i had my money out of my wallet but i took an extra moment and thought it through and decided i didnt want it after all. 250 calories saved.

i gave up mountain dew for lent and i made it though 5 days without much of an issue. yesterday i was craving one but was able to get my attention on something else. today i was sleepy and crabby. i was going to get something else out of the vending machine but the token thing ihad did not work so i was annoyed and tempted to get a dew instead. i decided to hang on to my frustration that if the token did not work that i didnt want to spend more money on something else. Does that count as willpower?

I had a light lunch and supper on friday because of saturday's temptation. we will be traveling and stopping at a resturaunt that a makes homemade custard. the flavor of the day is:

The Freezer
Chocolate cake batter custard + marshmallow fluff + fudge + chocolate chip cookie dough + chocolate cake pieces. Put some FREEZER in your freezer for the BIG GAME.

so deccadent, but 1 scoop should be a perfect treat.

Late snack. i came up with a list of 3-4 things i wanted to eat, then i realized that i was not hungry. so after i showered, i brushed my teeth right away. not a pure willpower victory, but minty breath makes other foods not taste good.

calorie saved - pop (170) + popcorn (90)

so i easily saved myself 200 calories that i was not hungry for.

Caffine. i wanted a soda this afternoon. i ended up getting called into a training class ao that distracted me for an hour and then i only had 30 minutes left in the day. i did not wxactly use willpower, i just kept distracting myself until the craving passed.

Hi Imreite! I like soda too--one trick I found that dilutes soda a bit--add water to it. I find it doesn't affect the taste too much; I feel satisfied and drink less soda.

my temptation was to quit before i got started on a new goal. Laste night i had an inspiration for a new goal. during the day i made a plan of 7 tasks i could finish before 5pm. i got home late from work so i lost about 40 minutes, i was tempted to quit. i did 5 of the tasks. i dinished about 5:20.
I did not get it all done but i did not finish.

Pizza. the weather was crummy so i wanted to overeat. at work i caved and got some pizza for lunch. then after work i stopped for milk and the y had $1 pizza slices. i caved again.

however i stuck with my supper plan. i did not have any buns so that prevented about 200 calories and simple carbs that i did not need nor did want.

a can of soda. i decided to finish my water bottle first. it sat their unopened for about 20 minutes then i put it back in the fridge as is.

Not today but yesterday's: frozen greek yogurt after already eating plenty for dinner. My fiance gave me the moral boost I needed to stray from the freezer for the 20 minutes they recommend you wait after eating so your stomach will realize how full you are. And sure enough, I was already full.

Today was blood mobile day. i get tempted to have more that 1 cookie. they keep asking would you like more juice, another cookie or some crackers. i dont like to leave the bus until after i have sat for a few minutes after donating, but they always tempt. me. i did well with in the morning not wanting sweets because i was going to have 1 cookie later. I went to donate my but but my hemoglobin was to low. They still offered me cookie and juice. i said no - yeah me! then i had a meeting. i was feeling tired and lethargic. i was tempted to go into my candy stash. then i was tempted to eat "just 1 peanut butter cup" but i said no.

i said no to temptation several times.

the stuff collecting in my drawer at work. i have been winning these contest at work and winding regular size candy - twix and m&m's , stuff like that. i ave had about 4 of them in my desk at one time. In the past this would have neem a time i would overeat. but instead i left them sit their for a day and did not eat them just to say i could. Then when i did want a treat, i had half. and but the rest in my desk.

I still have candy and granola bars left in my desk and i did not want to eat them.

i brought a can od pop with me for work. i was going to drink it in the afternoon. when i went to look it was now longer in the fridge. it wasn't labeled so i am not sure if someone meant to take it on purpose but part of me wants to thank the person for saving mr the calories.

I was tempted all day by being out at the beach with a friend who eats whatever she wants and stops at alot of fast food places. I didn't give in, but I was tempted every time. Ice cream, grinders, coolattas, really fatfilled lobster bisque. Fried clams, pizza. Just all not the things I eat anymore nor do I want to start.

Free donuts at work. our sup was trying to get people to take extras. i ate 1 and then I stopped. i decided i was tempted, but i thought that it would not be too tasty if i had another. I have learned that eating some foods to quickly or in excess makes them no longer taste good.

i was also tempted to go to the vending machine but i decided to not want the dew. i prevented an extra 400 calories in my diet.

cheese filled bread sticks from kwik trip. i stopped to put air in my tires and to get milk. i smelled them and i was tempted and i gave in. i have not been doing well with this,. i have to work harder on this.

1- Chocolate cheesecake at work - had my side salad instead
2- chocolate granola bar- ate my strawberries instaed
3- candy and the garden center
4- put the rest of the doritos away. i had a thought of to just finish them so i could throw the bag away. but i already had "enough"

bought chocolate at the pharmacy there was a new dark chocolate strawberry and a cranberry. they were 2.99 each or 2/5. i decided it was not work the calories to save 0.49 each, 1 bought 1 and since i dont have a 2nd one then i will eat it slower.

i was going outside to wash my car and i grabbed a bottle of water instead of a high sugary beverage. i figured i would be busy andi had a meal with a lot of protein and some fat so i should not have been hungry so i did not need anything sugary.

As I am blithely working away on the computer I am also procrastinating about doing my meditation/hypnosis cds. Best that I avoid that slippery slope and just get it done. It makes such a difference in my attitude and strength of character in avoiding foods that trip me up.

my biggest temptation today was to avoid the gym when I knew I had nothing better to do than to go work out....I still somehow was trying to talk myself out of it. It's weird how I feel amazing afterward but find it hard to drag my butt there in the first place.

well everyone of your temptations are what are bothering me . i want all of them . do not have them in house . would love to eat a chip . dark chocolate candy cake and cookies mashed pototes . all of it but am fighting myself and do not have it here in the house . can not get out to get it . snowed in with ice and snow . our hill is a mess and the main roads are clear but i can not make it back home if i leave so i am stuck here alone and without any of them .

fast food. i was at an event and on the drive home i was tempted to pick up fast food. first subway, not a terrible choice. but i drove by and then thought about going to taco bell instead- worst choice- high fat and not a lot of veggies. i decided to go directly home and see if i could find something else.

my primary motivation was i knew that if i picked up fast food i would feel overstuffed and would not want to do my workout. so i came home relaxed. ate some leftovers and then did my workout.
