I've had good luck with Bonefish Grill. They have always been very careful with our orders, and have many GF items on their menu. For a special night out we go to Vesta Dipping Grill in Denver. Fabulous food and the staff is terrific. They have a dedicated GF menu.
I also enjoy foods from Deby's Gluten Free Bakery.
The Vitamin Cottage in Lafayette does an AMAZING job of stocking GF/allergen free foods. This is their store focus. Their staff is very well-informed as well, and their nutritionist is great about meeting with customers to help them learn how to eat after a Celiac or gluten intolerance diagnosis.
Winners do daily what others do occasionally (Pete Thomas).
Udi's gf bagels being tested at 3 Denver area Einstein Bagels!
"Though Iíve not had the pleasure of trying the new bagels from Udiís yet, they must be as great as everything else from the bakery is because Einstein Bros. Bagels is now test marketing the bagels in three Denver area stores! Can you imagine walking into a bagel shop and getting a gluten-free bagel with cream cheese? Presently there are no plans to take this program nationwide, but my guess is that if enough consumers ask Einsteinís for gluten-free bagels, the company will give the idea serious consideration."
"The Colorado Rockies and ARAMARK, the exclusive food and beverage provider at Coors Field, announce the opening of a dedicated gluten-free concession stand. The menu features hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, chips, cookies, brownies, soda, water and gluten-free Redbridge beer. Believed to be the first of its kind in Major League Baseball, the gluten-free stand is located behind Section 147 on the left field concourse."
There is a Food Fair on June 14, 2008 at the El Jebel Oasis in Denver, Colorado!! This is the Denver Metro CSA (Celiac Sprue Association) Food Fair. There will be local and national vendors to tempt you!
Last year there were over 35 vendors and 400 participants.
All Ted's Montana Grill's have a gluten free menu, but the one at Southlands Mall off of E-470 and Smokyhill Road is just outstanding. Their crew has GF down really well and the manager, Angelo, is just a sweetheart.
Beau Jo's now also carries Deby's Glutenfree Bakery's desserts (the one at Yale and Colorado anyway)!
Here is a cross post from the bread and pizza recipe topic at the suggestion of Dotslady:
I'm lucky enough to live in the Denver area where we have Deby's Gluten Free Bakery and Cafe to get all our GF cravings satisfied. One of our local pizzerias, Beau Jo's Pizza sells gf pizza using the Deby's crusts and they have been trained in cross contact issues. They also sell GF beer. There are about 7 of the franchises here, and only 2 of them do not have the gf crusts. Monica Poole, the owner of Deby's, has a website where you can order her mixes and make your own pizza crust at home. The secret is that it is a yeast crust. www.everythingglutenfree.com
I don't profit from sales, but Monica is my friend!
I just saw this on the website: Deby's is changing it's name to 8 Free Foods, AND, we are going to be in EVERY King Soopers store in Colorado that has a bakery before January 1st, 2008 with 7 products. You will be able to purchase our Multi Grain Sandwich Bread, Pizza Crust, Plain English Muffins, Cinnamon Raisin English Muffins, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Sugar Cookie Dough, and Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Dough in a matter of weeks at a King Soopers near you!
