My fav GF restaurant in NJ is
Mama's and Cafe Baci in Hackettstown, NJ.

They have an extensive GF menu and are super careful to keep everything separate so little chance of cross contamination. They also have a give 10% off your purchase for GF customers. The prices are reasonable and my husband likes it because he gets to eat gluten-y things there (we are a GF household, since 3 out of 4 of us have CD). emoticon

"Italian Food With a Gluten-Free Difference"
Here are some gf references in a Philly.com article:

Pasquale Masters, Skip Elmer and John Fina added a gluten-free menu at their Voorhees, N.J. restaurant, Pasta Pomodoro.

No strangers to celiac disease themselves - Elmer has celiac and Masters is wheat intolerant - they've taken their regular menu and added options to what is often considered a very restrictive diet with little variety.

The garlic bread ($3) received a huge thumbs up from my taster. What it lacked in appearance (gluten-free bread products are difficult because they don't rise in the same manner as wheat flour does) it more than made up for with its redolent garlic.

It paired well with the broccoli rabe and white bean appetizer ($7.99) that was so large it could have been an entree.

Our entrees included gluten-free pasta with marinara sauce ($13.99). While this may seem excessively priced, a gluten-free diet is costly.

There are gluten-free dessert options, and my taster chose the cupcake ($3.50). While it was great to have that option, it did pale in comparison to the regular desserts.

Updated to include address/website info:

The name is Pasta Pomodoro NJ and the address is:

Eagle Plaza Shopping Center
700 Route 561
Voorhees, NJ
phone 856-782-7430

They can do most of the dishes GF and they have 2 GF desserts.

(sorry Lucas! Just noticed this is redundant info!)

In Voorhees (South Jersey, not the park in North Jersey), there is an Italian restaurant called Pasta Pomodoro. They have a Gluten Free menu, with pizza and garlic bread (it's round, not sliced from a loaf, and it is delicious). Their website is http://pastapomodoranj.com

We have our usual assortment of health food stores, Whole Foods, Wegman's and chain restaurants with GF menus.

In Cherry Hill, there is a bakery that makes gluten free products once a week, Great Harvest Bread Company (I haven't tried them, but I know others who have).

In Millville NJ, is the new home of Mr. Ritt's Bakery. They not only carry their own baked goods, but a host of other companies' products.

Up in the Northern part of the state, there is a store that carries all GF products: Gluten Free Market, Fair Lawn, NJ.
