I hope this helps before your trip. We were just in the PA area. We are a family with 1GF adult and 2GF kids.

At Hersheys we only spent the day at Chocolate World. There is a risk of cross contamination - the lunch menu selection was limit and expensive. My GF family had the Chicken Caesar salad. The agent was nice but as they made the salads others were reaching in and around our food with great risk of dropping crumbs. They let us look at list of the foods we could eat.

In Lancaster we ate at Plain and Fancy and shared the family meal with 2 other families. Interesting experience. The waitress was very careful not to cross contaminate and brought out separate dishes for the GF family members. We were also able to educate the others at the table regarding GF. We had plenty to eat and enjoyed the experience.

In Gettysburg we had a wonderful experience at Friendly's for dinner. You can get chicken or beef tips GF and the ice cream. The staff was very concerned not to cross contaminate. The was not the case at Friendly's in Harrisburg. Harrisburg Friendly's was a nightmare - their idea of "fixing" food served with bread on top of the food was change the plate and take the bread off. Can't tell you the number of times the waitress said "sorry for that."

LOVE Rita's Water Ice across the area. If you pass through Columbus, OH Pomegranate Restaurant was very good and concerned about cross contamination.

Hope you have a great time - we did.

I love GF Registry. I use it all the time. Great when you go on vacation to preplan.

Hi Jenn!

I have an iPhone and just bought an app called GFRegistry. It was only 1.99, but it's been very useful already. It shows where all the restaurants are around you that have GF options. Just make sure you read the reviews for the place you're interested in, because they may shed some light on exactly how GF the restaurant really is.

Have a blast in Hershey! My husband and I went a few years ago at Christmas time and it was so fun! And remember, NYC is only a few hours away by car!

I am wondering if anyone can help. My family and I are headed to Hershey Park for vacation. Has anyone been there and can you help me figure out where I can eat. The website was not very helpful, so I did send them an email directly.

We are also visiting Gettysberg and Lancaster.

Thank you for your help!!

Jenn
