I needed some insoluble fiber in my diet, so this morning I combined my favorite boxed pancake mix with equal parts of Bob's Red Mill 7 Grain Hot Cereal and made some very tasty - and a bit healthier - pancakes.

Hi, Picklemire -- I just sent you a SparkMail with the info about my shakes. I don't think SparkPeople would approve of my new diet plan.
This morning I didn't drink the shake. Had two pancakes instead. I made them with the 40 calorie almond milk, so maybe they weren't too bad for my diet. I needed something different today, and I know I get cranky if I feel like I'm depriving myself too much!

Improvingme, So sorry I have been off the wagon of late. I am now back on and hopefully will stay with it this time. This morning I had a grilled cheese sandwich. What is this wonder shake you make? Sounds good.

I know this probably wouldn't be SP approved, but I had a special high protein shake for breakfast. I am on a new program where I'm supposed to eat five 250-calorie meals throughout the day, of certain unprocessed foods. We'll see how it goes. I'm committed to trying something different. Three pieces of bacon, two eggs (fried/steamed in just a little of the bacon grease with water added), two pieces of whole wheat lite toast, and a cup of hot tea with warm milk and honey.
Yesterday I had the same, but I scrambled my eggs with spinach, tomatoes, and a little onion, so the entire meal was a little healthier. I need to go to the grocery store to get more spinach and tomatoes, because that was really tasty. I sprinkled a little cheddar cheese over it yesterday, but next time I think I'll add cottage cheese to the eggs while they are cooking.
Good for you for shaking it up! My daughter cooked scrambled eggs and bacon this morning. I put my eggs on a piece of wheat toast with 1/2 slice of American cheese and drank a cold glass of milk. Yum! Got me through three soccer matches this morning watching my grandkids play.
A Smart Ones Breakfast Quesadilla with iced coffee. Not the best I know but I don't have the Quesadillas often (usually a homemade smoothie or oatmeal) and I made the iced coffee myself, so it's tasty and low-cal (only 25 per cup!).

I started out with a healthy breakfast this morning. I sauted about a tablespoon of onion and green pepper in 1 teaspoon margarine, and then added 1/2 of a medium-sized chopped tomato and some spinach. Then scrambled two large eggs into that. Ate the other half of the cold tomato with it, plus a glass of orange juice. Yum! I bought some Smart Balance peanut butter for the first time, so I'm going to try that this next week...
