i had 1/4 cup dry old fashion oatmeal with 1/2 cup milk added and my flavoring was1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter. then i microwaved it for 3 1/2 minutes. MMM Goooood!!! sue

I needed some insoluble fiber in my diet, so this morning I combined my favorite boxed pancake mix with equal parts of Bob's Red Mill 7 Grain Hot Cereal and made some very tasty - and a bit healthier - pancakes.

What a great, healthy breakfast you had, NSEMANCO! I bet you're full of energy after that meal!

I had hot tea with pumpkin bread (which is more like cake than bread) today. Now I'll have to make up the rest of the day with healthy foods.

Hi, Picklemire -- I just sent you a SparkMail with the info about my shakes. I don't think SparkPeople would approve of my new diet plan.

This morning I didn't drink the shake. Had two pancakes instead. I made them with the 40 calorie almond milk, so maybe they weren't too bad for my diet. I needed something different today, and I know I get cranky if I feel like I'm depriving myself too much!

I know this probably wouldn't be SP approved, but I had a special high protein shake for breakfast. I am on a new program where I'm supposed to eat five 250-calorie meals throughout the day, of certain unprocessed foods.
We'll see how it goes. I'm committed to trying something different. It comes with a money-back guarantee, but I don't want my money back -- I just want to lose some weight and be healthier!

Three pieces of bacon, two eggs (fried/steamed in just a little of the bacon grease with water added), two pieces of whole wheat lite toast, and a cup of hot tea with warm milk and honey.

Yesterday I had the same, but I scrambled my eggs with spinach, tomatoes, and a little onion, so the entire meal was a little healthier. I need to go to the grocery store to get more spinach and tomatoes, because that was really tasty. I sprinkled a little cheddar cheese over it yesterday, but next time I think I'll add cottage cheese to the eggs while they are cooking.

Today I mashed up a hard boiled egg and put about 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese in it. Then toasted some low cal whole wheat bread and made a sandwich out of that. Pretty good!

The sandwich itself ended up low cal and great on proteins, but I put some hot cocoa mix and warm milk in with my coffee. Very good, but not low cal!

A Smart Ones Breakfast Quesadilla with iced coffee. Not the best I know but I don't have the Quesadillas often (usually a homemade smoothie or oatmeal) and I made the iced coffee myself, so it's tasty and low-cal (only 25 per cup!).

I started out with a healthy breakfast this morning. I sauted about a tablespoon of onion and green pepper in 1 teaspoon margarine, and then added 1/2 of a medium-sized chopped tomato and some spinach. Then scrambled two large eggs into that. Ate the other half of the cold tomato with it, plus a glass of orange juice. Yum!
I bought some Smart Balance peanut butter for the first time, so I'm going to try that this next week...

This morning I stir-fried some frozen vegetables in less than one teaspoon of salt-free margarine, and then I scrambled two eggs into the mixture. Seasoned it with ground pepper, garlic powder, dried basil from my garden, and just a little sprinkle of Lawry's seasoned salt. Had 6 ounces of 2% milk to go with it. Yum!

Thought I'd try something different this morning, so I had a banana, a fresh pear, and I made a frozen fruit drink using orange/pineapple juice, frozen peaches, frozen mangos, and frozen blueberries.
I drank 1/3 of the fruit drink and then froze the remainder in two containers to have for dessert some evening.

I had a bowl of steel-cut oats today. They take a little longer to prepare, but I really enjoy them. I always add 1 to 2 tablespoons of milled flaxseed to my cereals for extra nutritional value.

This morning I didn't have any milk, so I had one poached egg, a double-fiber English muffin with 1 tsp peanut butter on it, and a fruit smoothie made with frozen fruit and Ocean Spray fruit & veggies tropical citrus flavor. I had some smoothie juice left over so I froze it for later.

Not sure if protein shakes are recommended by SparkPeople, but I'm going to try them out for a week or so to see if they boost my metabolism.
Today I had a scoop of the Jillian Michaels Natural Whey Protein Triple Chocolate Shake in a cup of 2% milk. I put 8 ice cubes in my blender and made a frozen smoothie out of it.
Supposed to help satisfy my appetite. It's been a little over an hour now and I'm already thinking of food!

Not that I really love the taste of it, but today I had 3/4 cup (one serving) of Uncle Sam's oat cereal. Added 2 tbsp flaxseed meal, 1 tsp sugar, 3/4 cup 2% milk, and 1/4 cup Sunsweet antioxidant dry fruit blend. 16 grams of fiber!
Fixed my grandson some homemade waffles and syrup, but I resisted and didn't eat the waffles.
What did you eat?
