I like posting my highs too. Let's keep it going.
Tues high: Spent most of the day in the car looking at our beautiful fall color. Even got a 10 minute walk after lunch.
Low: Having problems with a painful knee. It only hurts when I go up or down steps.

OK! Oct is here. But I like thinking over my day to recognize high and low. Monday high -- 2 x basement to 5th floor at the Kaiser building while waiting for an appt. & a walk outside 60 min total) Monday low -- didn't get to the gym
Tuesday high -- some success digging out at work after nearly 2 weeks Tuesday low -- fighting UTI and feeling rotten. ZERO fitness minutes today

Sat high -- nice to be home. Got a long walk in Sat low -- going through a week's worth of mail
Sun high -- great church service, made a good, low cal chicken rice casserole for dinner Sun low -- ate a 2nd piece of chocolate club soda cake (better to stop at 1, even though it's low fat, low sugar)

Fri high -- made it home safely; drank enough water and made healthy choices when we stopped for food. It has been hard to get away from the "eat all while you drive" mode of travel. I used to pack so much junk food and we ate just out of boredom. No more! Fri low -- don't think there was one. (does that count as another high??)

Got in 25 minutes on the stationary bike. Hope it is nice enough tomorrow to walk outside. I like the gym but it is so much nicer to walk outside.

One of my HIGHS is seeing you gals share your highs here!
My Tues high -- very relaxing day. Lots of it spent sitting out under the trees in the courtyard reading a book. Nice when vacation doesn't mean we are frantically trying to see "everything" because we've never been here before and don't know if we'll ever get back.
Tues low -- only a casual walk through town.

Sun. Low -- Phx son & family headed back to the city. We only got a 24 hr visit. But we're thankful for that time!

Saturday low - falling and busting both of my knees.
Sunday High- cannot wait to get to be with my church family today!!
Sunday low - I am in serious pain from yesterdays falls :( I'll be seeing the doctor tomorrow. I hurt less yesterday than today so we'll see what I did to my knees when I see the doc.

Saturday HIGH!! Most of it! Zumba, cleaned my car, prepared more for mission trip, relished this beautiful day, dinner out with my husby.
Saturday lo....had some grieving to do for our son Andrew today. Still hard to relinquish all to the Lord, but I am getting better at that. Grieving over so many of the unwise choices Andrew still makes in life. But God is good through it all.

Friday Hi Hi Hi!!
Spent time with my long standing ladies prayer group this morning. We've been meeting weekly for 12 years starting as a Moms in Touch and still going strong!
Friday lower
Because of a change in my gym membership, I need to tweak my Friday a.m. workout schedule to be able to pray with my warrior friends. Thus, no scheduled workout today. However, I hope I can squeeze in a walk on this lovely day.

Friday high - it's a beautiful fall day in Colorado Springs :)
Friday low - feeling stressed with the yard sale tomorrow. I know it will go great and I have wonderful friends coming to help me but I still have so much to do and can only do it after the boys are asleep tonight!!

Thurs high: Had a wonderful day. Went for a 2 mile walk by the river and saw 2 herons and some ducks. Went to grandkids (5) carnival day at school and then we all went for pizza. Ate in their outdoor patio and it was great. There were other kids out there so we didn't have to worry about them being quiet.
Low: Pizza didn't have much sauce or cheese. Was disappointing.

Julia, sorry to hear about your back pain! Praying for relief!
Th high(s) -- Bible study ("Walking by Faith" by Jennifer Rothschild) off to a good Starr, and an intense workout at the gym! Low -- my crock pot roast, potatoes, etc. was bland...

Wed high: did 20 minutes on the exercise bike and then went to Silver Sneakers class with hubby. Felt energised afterwards.
Low: Didn't get as much done at home as I had wanted to.

Wed. high - tried 2 new SP recipes. Chef Meg's Tomato Soup and Adult/gourmet grilled cheese (think that was the name)
Wed.. Low -- I used too much fresh basil and am still tasting it 3 hrs later. Ugh. Otherwise both were good (the basil was my own addition to the soup ... So I can't blame Chef Meg! Note to self: "a little dab'll do ya!").

Wednesday high - It's RAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wednesday low - I'm tired. After a month of sleeping alone (the dog doesn't count) I'm just over it. I have 3 (ish) more months to go still and honestly I'm dreading it. I'm grateful that he's safe, that he's not deployed and still on American soil but I'm ready to have my husband home where he belongs.
Side note - I did get to the Dr. yesterday, got my thyroid meds refilled and my reflux meds and a referral to the allergist (oddly I'm allergic to dogs and we're adding a service dog to our mix in January lol) so all is well in that area. The Dr's scale weighed me in at 202lbs. That was disappointing but I'm gracing myself and still claiming ONEderland lol!

High: It started raining as we drove to the trail so went to Sam's Club and got 30 minutes going up and down the aisles - not shopping, just walking. Did the shopping after our 30 min.
Low: Feeling so tires after walking for only 30 minutes (plus shopping).

Good job walking, Jodi!
Tues high - nice walk after work, and very moderate lunch at Olive Garden (I've learned how to keep calories in line there!)
Tues low -- had planned to go to the gym after work since I hiked instead of going yesterday. But got out of work 25 min late and didn't want to be that much later for dinner, so I skipped the gym and went for a walk instead. I need to get regular with the gym again!
Both of my last 2 days off have been hiking days. Those will not be possible as much as fall arrives, both due to weather and my busier schedule. (I use Mon morning as a prep time for Bible study, and the class is on Th morning.)

Tuesday high-interviewed for substitute teaching at kids school and found the principal open to mentor me. Also woke up at 6 am to walk and did my strength training as planned!
Low-Didn't sleep great so took a nap. Wondering why I'm so tired, going to bed at 10 and alarm set for 6 but not sleeping well. PTL my schedule is open right now that I can nap when I need to. Might be PMS or fighting cold.

Tuesday high! It's our 5 year anniversary today!! We have two anniversaries (legal marriage, and our church wedding) today is the anniversary of our legal marriage :)
Tuesday low - too much stress today. I have to go to the doctor (not stressed about that) but the timing is different than I thought I scheduled and I don't know that I can be back in time to get my son off the bus, scrambling to find a friend to come get him off the bus for me! If not I'll have to cancel my appt and wait until October! :(

Monday low: Wish I could say my eating went as well. Went to Subway for lunch and Rib City for dinner. I'm going to really have to watch what I eat the rest of the week.

Monday high ... Nice hike (really a walk along a creek) and lunch with a friend! Love that I can do Panera salad and frozen lemonade without guilt! Low ... Needed a little nap. But I'm seeing a common thread here, and we all, as Jodi said, need to listen to our bodies and getting enough rest & deep sleep is so important! 8 hours, folks!!

Monday High-woke to another great morning of walking, also stopped half way through lunch plate and saving it for later. Low-Took a nap which isn't bad but I think it shows my body is fighting the cold my daughter has, praying I can stay rested and fight it off.
Learn2BMe-Love your awareness that not enough sleep effects all in the house, give grace and I highly recommend a nap like I took. :-) Praying you make it!

Mondays High - I'm having lunch with our women's ministry team leader (she works at the hospital here, nice and convenient to go have lunch haha!) today, looking forward to some good fellowship time with her.
Monday Low - I'm tired (not enough sleep last night) and my boys are whiny!!! Not a good combination!

Great to see a few more joining this thread! Learn2BMe, I remember the years with 2 little guys and a hubby gone for weeks on end in the military. You Can Do It, but it's hard! Glad to see you here, getting some support!
Jodi, hope your headache goes away. (mine from yesterday is gone, PTL!)
Sun high--11 students joined our church this morning, and 4 were baptized. Making sugar-free peach jam this afternoon. Planning walk after dinner.
Low --Did OK with church picnic foods but should have skipped the tamale. It was probably higher in fat than I usually eat, and it didn't taste as good as I thought it would. But I ate it anyway ... I am no longer a member of the "clean plate club" and could have left it after a bite or 2.

Sat high: had a good workout at the gym. Rode the Expresso bike for 32 minutes on a slightly hilly course and knocked 1 minute off my time. I love the expresso bikes and the different courses they have.

Sunday high-when I woke up at 6 I decided I couldn't get back to sleep so slipped out of the apartment without waking the family and walked around the apartment complex with my praise music and enjoyed the sun coming up! low-Been fighting a headache most of the weekend, praying it is my body fighting the cold my daughter is getting or PMS.

Sunday High - Broke into ONEderland this morning! 198lbs!!! :) That's 29lbs gone :) Very excited by that.
Sunday Low - missing my husband more today than I have so far. It's been a long month without him, so much has happened.
on a side note, I'm really sorry I've been gone for so long from SP. It's been hard to be as regular here when all the house duties are falling to me. Plus having two of my best friends in crisis at the beginning of August didn't help. I'm trying so hard to get back on the horse here!!

Friday low ... Highest number on the scale in ages (3 days after lowest, and day after 6 hr hike? Huh?? I'm not too concerned, but it started the day wrong.) Then ate 4 chocolates when those around me got crazy hectic in the afternoon. I picked up their stress (not smart, I know).
Friday high ... Chose a protein-filled lunch which wasn't too much & satisfied me.
Saturday - high -- planning grilled chicken, perfectly healthy pasta, and a Zuchinni salad marinated in lite balsamic vinaigrette dressing. And, I made a Hungry Girl chocolate cake ... which cuts the calories 100 calories Per Piece! (made enough salad & cake to take to the church picnic tomorrow.)
Saturday low -- I'm fighting a headache as I prepare for dinner guests ... Ugh.

Wed. High -- 20 min walk after dinner. Was gong to skip it since we're doing a longer hike tomorrow, but when I went to get the mail, it felt so nice outside I extended it. Being active is feeling more like "natural" than sitting around! Wed low -- friend at work out an open dish of candy corn on his desk ... I love those and got into it too often!

Good for you, Yvonne! Getting there is half the battle! Once I start working out (or head out on that walk) I get in the groove and feel so much better for having said, "NO!" to the voice telling me I was too tired ... too busy ... deserved a break ... etc!! Persistence will pay off!

Low: The scale just isn't moving and I'm watching what I eat and getting more exercise in.

OK, gals, we are doing well with encouraging one another on blogs and Friend Feed, but our Team seems to be stuck! I propose this -- commit to checking in on this thread once a day! Let us know the HIgh and Low of your day.
--my high today was a nice walk with hubby; low was that I didn't especially like the casserole (leftovers from freezer) I fixed for dinner. But I'm not going to snack tonight ... I'm not hungry, though I don't feel really satisfied. --
On another note, Julia & I have been your leaders for a while now ... I think we need some new blood on the leadership! Who wants to step up and help (or take over)? What kinds of challenges would you like to work on together?
And one more thing -- let me know if you'd like to join me for a hike the first Saturday of October. See my South Valley Park Hike blog for the hike I'm suggesting. Would love to have some face time with you all!
